Simons, 7th, and 14th is an insane overpay for a high pick in this draft.
Yeah its laughably stupid. He says "its a bit rich" and I'm still squinting my eyes at how something like 3 for 7, 14, and Simons would ever be something remotely feasible. I think the ultimate reality is that this is another 2013 draft where everyone says its "weak", and it probably is, but a team will get lucky and draft a player with disproportionate impact relative to where they are drafted a la Giannis, CJ McCollum, Rudy Gobert, etc.
I have a strong suspicion that there will be picks (Devin Carter, Carlton Carrington, Tristan da Silva, etc.) who outplay their draft spots.
Simons is number one in this draft lol hands down.
koc lost me there wtf😭😭

Portland receives:
Jabari Smith Jr
Anthony Black
Jett Howard
Orlando’s 2024 FRP #18
Orlando’s 2025 unprotected FRP
Cleveland’s 2025 unprotected second round pick
Houston’s 2026 FRP via Brooklyn
Orlando’s 2027 SRP via Boston
Houston’s 2027 SRP via Memphis
Cleveland’s unprotected 2028 SRP
Houston receives:
Darius Garland
Max Strus
Wendell Carter Jr
Portland’s 2024 FRP #7
Portland’s 2024 SRP #40
Cleveland receives:
Jerami Grant
Malcom Brogdon
Orlando’s 2024 SRP # 47
Orlando receives:
Fred VanVleet
Anfernee Simons
Houston’s 2027 FRP swap rights with Brooklyn
Blazers finally commit to young core.
Trading away talented veterans so the younger players can get minutes on the court. This team will never contend as is, a imminent blow up is obvious. Compensated with promising young players and a slew of picks.
Rockets hand the keys over to Darius Garland.
Rockets acquire a young and talented point guard to be a corner stone of a rebuild. They currently have the #3 pick in the draft and this trade nets them #7 as well. They could keep the picks and go all in on a youth movement or they could look to double dip and flip some new assets for Mikal Bridges after this trade is finished.
Cleveland onboards new talent.
Obviously the pair of Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland didn’t workout. Cleveland gets deeper by landing two legitimate NBA caliber starters in Grant and Brogdon. This team desperately needs wing play and Jeremi Grant can provide that. Landing Malcom Brogdon allows Donovan Mitchell to play off ball and conserve energy and not run himself ragged trying to do everything. Both players shoot the deep ball well and stretch the floor. With the 47th pick they can scoop up Bronny James and potentially get both James Sr and Jr in a return to Cleveland.
Orlando gets a brand new talented backcourt.
Orlando is building something great. The two way play is exciting to watch. Fred VanVleet is a underrated defender and very skilled point guard with veteran experience that this team needs and Anfernee Simons is the offensive firepower answer.
Kev, are you mentally well? There aren’t 3 players in this draft I would take over Simons. Get it together, brother.
Simons might be the worst defender in the NBA dead last by far (-3.5) in defensive estimated plus minus (518th) and he’s been bad for years plus he is injury prone. His offense is very good but unfortunately his trade value isn’t very high rn he’s viewed as a risky investment especially for teams that don’t already have an elite defense
That being said Simons, 7 and 14 to move up in this draft is an overpay
@@bkelly625 No lies detected, I just wouldn’t trade him for anyone outside of the top 3 in this draft. 7 and 14 thrown in as well would get the GM fired.
@@bkelly625 Simons isn't as injury-prone as it might appear - Portland has been sitting him with hangnail-level injuries in the interest of tanking
This draft class is so bad, I don't get why we're talking about trading up in a draft that doesn't have an all-world guy in it.
Seriously Simons and the 7th and 14th pick to move up to 3?!?!?!?! I know that other ppl have stated this but that would have to improve to be horrible. Cronin showed last year that he is not giving away talent for low return. That is nickels not dimes on the dollar! LOL Come on man, they would probably not trade Simons straight up for the 3rd pick.
Teams should watch these videos and do exactly opposite of what KOC ever says.
Detroit SHOULD DEFINITELY TRADE THE 5TH PICK ... they don't need another nonshooter or young project..smh
Reed Sheppard and Dalton Knetch are viable options with the 5th pick
@@Dunk1It1Hard reed prob gone before 5, knecht though
Edey doesn't work with the Raptors style of play. The Raptors are a transition team. So how how does cement footed Edey work with that style of play? Once you get past the fact that Edey is Canadian, there is no reason they should be looking in his direction at all. Let alone moving up to get him! They need shooters. SHOOOOOOTERS. Not a 7'4, 300lb, relic from a bygone era. The Raptors FO doesn't leak. So these so called rumours are not coming from them.
People just get on here & say anything. They’re forcing him in our throats cause he’s Canadian smh
they brought edey in for a workout so they have interest. every player they picked they have had workouts with in past.
@@Justfranktbh based on workouts in the 19th range they have called in, the raptors are looking at a center. its likely edey, ware or missi.
@@Justfranktbh Preach
7 14 and simons make me question the knowledge on this podcast. Most other experts have simons being worth 2 first and a young player with upside.
If Simons was worth two firsts and a young player, I'd drive him to PDX myself right now. He's worth a first and salary match probably. He gets injured way too often.
I'd try 14 and Simons for the 5th and whatever bad contracts detroit might have.
@@bbmuteman multiple nba insiders think otherwise, I'd be fine with that and a top 5 protected 1st
dude its not really worth moving up in this flat 2024 draft.
KOC hates the blazers. Every single time he throws them in a possible trade it’s a horrible move that benefits the other team
I doubt that it is so much that he hates PTL, but more that he doesn't pay enough attention to them/do his research to put together a halfway decent offer.
It's funny how bad these mock trades are for the Blazers.
"Blazers trade 7, 14, Grant, Brogdon, and Sharpe, for a signed Lebron poster"
Feel like Atlanta could potentially be better off trading all the way to 8 and setting themselves up to have valuable Draft capital for years.
That would be really stupid for the Hawks to do that. Get serious!
lol no one is gonna trade you future picks in a stronger draft for this year top 3 pick. its simple take sarr or richacher. everyone else cant shoot or will be projects.
this years draft is a flat draft.
Would love to see okc either trade a good chunk of picks for a top 3-4 pick. Or trade out of 12 entirely and let ousmane dieng get some shine this year
this is not a draft you move up in trading picks in a stronger draft in future.
Cody williams is the guy i would take 2nd in this draft...not saying he will become kawhi or butler or jaylen but he can impact a game the way they all did when they were young without needing the ball and he has the body type you need to succeed in the playoffs...he can become a good scorer and he is efficent...he isn't a one on one guy but he has the tools...
But why trade to move up in a draft that has been universally panned?
Nice dogshit trade suggestion for the Blazers as per usual

Amen seems perfect next to Jalen as they grow together. I wouldn't move for a PG at all if I'm Houston
Why does this publicized opinion matter? Worst evaluators out there. KOC is beyond idiocracy. Bad trade ideas, bad takes in evaluations. This isn't the first failed draft process either. I'll just troll this channel to steer other actual enthusiasts the right way whenever this channel is actually recommended... Check out No Ceilings, NBA Big Boards, Hoop Intellect, Utility Sports, etc... for different intellectual outlooks of this draft process.
Oh yeah, and where is Killian Hayes now?
Draft is a complete crapshoot.
Everyone of the very best draft analysts have made awful calls, he owns his mistakes. I will say that the trade proposed was actually ridiculous
I actually don't see trades coming. The value of the picks is too low compared to what teams will be looking for.
RIP J. Tjarks!!!
The Raptors only draft workout they made public and invited the Media was the Edey workout. I don’t believe he’s on the radar if they were so public about it.
If Portland wants a play in the top 10 higher than 7th, maybe they are targeting Clingan?
Most teams prioritize players they workout, but there are always exceptions. Blazers have like a 90% draft rate of players they worked out in the last decade just as an example. But if Sarr fell in your lap, teams wouldn’t pass on him just because they didn’t with him out (just as an extreme example).
its really easy to see who raptors worked out. just google nba workout tracker. raptors worked out kel el ware and alot of other players. just because you didnt hear about it, doesnt mean it wasnt made public.
Man Heat fan here we desperately need to move up in the draft . Alleviate the books and move off the contracts of Duncan ,Tyler, and (potentially) Terry . My favorite target is Castle.
He’s been compared to (Jimmy Butler + Marcus Smart + Andre Iguodala + Shaun Livingston)
The type of player we need to reboot this roster around Jimmy and Bam . That would mean moving Jaime and Nikola which I’m okay with if you’re moving the larger contracts . Picks number 3,5,and 6 would have to be acquired to get that player wishful thinking I guess .
Spoelstra and Riley can’t do the same thing they’ve been doing since 2020 otherwise most Heat fans will feel like we’ve punted on the upcoming season .
heat wont be able to move up to get castle unless they trade jacquez.
@@giovanni-ed7zq well Jaime your a Rocket,Spur,or Piston now .
@@Mr.Nyashty castle is going top 7, how do you think heat trade up into top 7? they really have no one a young team would want other than jacquez. i dont even think he would be enough to get them into top 7 even.
I’m sure there is a team who hopes Blazers are sucker enough to give up 7, 14 and Simons. I hope Blazers are not that stupid. Could do 7 or 14 and a player to move up.
A team like okc grizzlies jazz should all move up for cody williams...he may be there at 9 for the grizz but i wouldn't chance it..he just fits
nah grizzlies primary need is a 7 ft defensive rim protecting center. if they cant get clingan, they probably best to trade for one since they want to go deep in playoffs
Dejounte Murray and the first for Paul George
Clingan will ultimately get Landry Fields fired. Clingan will get played off the floor a lot. He has led feet which will ultimately make him a bench player.
No way in hell would they trade Simons, #14, and #7 for #3! This is an absolute joke! Massively nuts!
Simons will be the odd man out between him and Scoot. Scoot is not considered the "star" to build around. My word, you don't know anything about the Blazers. Of who is currently there, Sharpe would be the "star"; but, the idea and hope is for the '25 draft to get our 'star'.
What a waste of time lol, check it out to hear them talk about the raptors only to talk about them for a minute, get sidetracked then end the video lol😂
Holy cow this is bad
Dear god is this trade analysis stupid. It’s really hard to watch/listen to. The trade proposal for simons isn’t enough laughable, and in what universe is a kings squad better with Allen instead of Sabonis. Dude lead the league in triple doubles and broke the record for consecutive double doubles. Just stick to the college athletes if that’s what you really think lol
I want Sarr on the Blazers… so if that takes Simons & the two picks, then so be it.
He Said pick 3 which is a joke
