The great thing about this film (and it must be seen on the big screen, no screen in your house, however big, can do it justice) is that it invites multiple views, and will be as exciting on the third or fifth viewing as it was on the first. Although Emma Stone is obviously spectacular, and with all certainty she is going to win the Oscar, which will be well deserved for her skill and bravery, by exposing herself to the world in this way, I would like to give importance to the excellent performance of Mark Ruffalo, a character essential in the story, and Willem Dafoe, whose commitment to difficult roles is known. The creation, the creator and the promoter are the three axes that make this film a unique and unrepeatable work of art. We have witnessed one of those cinematic moments that occur every so often, and we must be grateful to those responsible, starting with the author of the book, Alasdair Gray. We must experience everything, not only the good, but also the degradation, the horror, the sadness. This is how we know the world, and when we know the world, the world is ours.
