Destiny arguing with Nate's mom about language (I don't know who Nate is or how this came about) Destiny's live stream: www.justin.tv/steven_bonnell_ii/
This was literally the most interesting discussion and to be honest, the most calm discussion, I've heard in a while. Very interesting and fun to hear/watch.
Watching these when I'm not a kid anymore trips me out. I see things from massively different perspectives holy shit. It's like watching a Disney movie you haven't watched since you were a kid.
Wow. Destiny is extremely well spoken. I'm very impressed, the way he conveys his ideas has a great flow to it and it's very easy to understand and follow what he's trying to say.
No idea who these people are (came up in autoplay), but I don't know why people are giving the guy's mom shit. This seemed to be a very intelligent conversation.
8:30 is probably the closest thing to the right answer in this whole discussion, language and appearance shouldn't matter, but it does, so why set yourself up against the odds when you can appear more appealing by controlling yourself?
everytime i watch one of these kinds of videos from destiny i sort of learn something whether it's how to troll someone or argue your point efficiently and calmly....i will apply this once school starts
Nate's mom is arguing based on feeling rather than logic. Swear words can yes, be offensive, but they definitely make content have a *stronger* meaning through a stronger word. Simple words like "stop" or "shut up" don't mean as much as "shut the fuck up" or "fucking stop". You go, Destiny!
Destinys arguing is BY FAR the best arguin I have ever experienced while looking at the Bnet backdrop. A little more advanced than the regular "you suck".
*clicks on the video expecting troll* *finds out its an intellectual epic conversation* *favorites & triple likes* Thank God we have people like Destiny in this world :´(
He made an incredibly smart move at 4:03 when he said he did not know the relationship between the mother and son. He refrained from venturing into territory he did not know. This is mainly why is successful at many arguments. He simply stays in his playing field to allow himself to use the most of his knowledge.
You seem to perceive the word "argument" as something negative, as in "fighting verbally", while it can just as much be a constructive talk. Basically, they were arguing about if cursing is appropriate or not and the conclusion was: Yes and no, theres a time and place for everything. So yes, it was an argument, but yes, you can call that a discussion, it falls into both definitions.
Sontraid My mother tongue isnt english either, but I learned english in an international school, taught by native speakers in detail. I also learned a lot online :P To your question, an argument is a statement, used as reasoning for another statement, thus 2 ppl arguing is literally a discussion. You could, for example be arguing about wether the death penalty is morally acceptable or not, bringing arguments such as, yes in some circumstances, if the accused has also taken a life (making the death penalty a trade, basically), or no, because a human life has indefinite value, and thus no sin could ever judge the death penalty. You would be having a discussion, but you can have it constructively and without a verbal fight.
I'm a bit late to the party here, but anti-bullying campaigns in schools do fuck all. As a victim of bullying I speak from experience when I say it has never made a difference ever.
man I'm 20, at college and my family's military. pretty sure if I told my pops to shut the fuck up I'd set a record for visiting every continent simultaneously.
This is exactly why I watch everything destiny puts up. Regardless of SC2 skills, there's no player smarter or more articulate then this guy. Just a lot of fun listening to him talk to anyone
I liked and favorited this video when Destiny mentioned the school issue (avoiding and not teaching) it is so cool that someone like Destiny can leave this message on a lot of young ppl like me :)
Debates are a type of argument but in a formal manner. Arguments are not necessarily done in anger. A quarrel, however, is more specifically an argument done in anger.
@THESJS lol thats why the video is "Destiny arguing" not "Destiny PvZ" the best you could hope for was a so-so game with an argument going on in the background, which would be the focus. I personally enjoyed the video.
How do people swear to their Mothers like that. I can't imagine cursing to my Mom... Steven, you've gotten in these conversations and arguments constantly and every time you have really great points. So... good job and stuff.
look at the video length then game length then who won the game and then the opponent's name. starcraft is the perfect metaphora for this conversation.
And usually has adverse effects in the long term and ends up with even bigger problems than you've had beforehand. it's like your TV flickering, and you smashing the side of it in hopes it'll just work properly afterwards.
I came here expecting this to be Destiny arguing with his baby mama lol
Steven: 1
Nate's mom: 1
Nate: 0
destiny is like doing group therapy for this family LOL
And from this day forward, Nate was allowed to say the N-word at the dinner table.
I LOVE STEVEN. he just causes everybody to babble and stumble over their words everytime he throws another argument out. i love it
Nacho Thebird Fortunately it's the end result of having a logical argument, and totally changing someones point of view.
This was literally the most interesting discussion and to be honest, the most calm discussion, I've heard in a while. Very interesting and fun to hear/watch.
I thought this was Nathan memes, but it's some other dude. Still good video
This woman seems pretty cool. Says herself she's not a prude and basically agrees with everything.
funny thing that Destinys son is called Nathan
2ExtremeReviews what's funny about it? 🤔
@@ashikmahmud9131
Someone is not allowed to have the same name as someone else that's crazy and against the rules of nature
@@Lackingx no, because it makes it sounds like he is arguing with his ex-wife.
@@63Limar
Yeah I know we should banish both Nathan's to a realm where they are assigned a different name
@@Lackingx you are taking the idea of "funny" certainly in a wrong way.
Destiny is a god.
Who the fuck is Nate?
After looking at Destiny and his attitude when playing games, you'd think that he would be a horrible father, but I think he'll make a great one.
without a doubt, hes smart funny and knows/seen most things in this shit 'fucking' world.
This comment did not age well
@@maul5211 I mean, he's saying there's a correlation between how you act when you're playing video games, and how you are going to raise a child lmao
Maul how?
@@rathcorn Destiny left Nathan in nebraska just to go and live in LA. He still provides him with funds and shit ofc but he's basically a deadbeat now.
Watching these when I'm not a kid anymore trips me out. I see things from massively different perspectives holy shit. It's like watching a Disney movie you haven't watched since you were a kid.
I love these videos lol. I love how Destiny can just instantly counter what people say. For me it takes several seconds to come up with something.
Destiny was born to debate with people, his vocabulary is like eminems rapping only in debating
omg u should do more of this, i find this very fascinating xD
Wow. Destiny is extremely well spoken. I'm very impressed, the way he conveys his ideas has a great flow to it and it's very easy to understand and follow what he's trying to say.
This was actually really interesting. Came expecting some guy shouting at some angry parent. Left with new opinions :D
I love how Nate tries to get involved in the conversation but gets shut down everytime
Destiny - the family councelor
No idea who these people are (came up in autoplay), but I don't know why people are giving the guy's mom shit. This seemed to be a very intelligent conversation.
+Roodoe Well maybe after min 5, when she was "enlightened"..
Haha I like the insightful discussions of Destiny. Very sophisticated too, without getting mad or losing it.

I think Steven just taught me more about life then anyone else in my family or that matter friends.

Dan XD #bashheadagainstarock2016
I have no idea what I just watched but I do not regret it.
Steven is really good at presenting an idea ~_~
17:39 "You're a nice kid wanna come live with us?"
to Destiny. LOL
"You're a nice kid, why don't you come live with us!" - GO DESTINY!
my.. my ears were not ready for 1080p vocals.... this is glory at its finest
Steven is a master at argueing
What kind of people does this guy talk to on skype, like wtf! LOL
Destinys arguing is BY FAR the best arguin I have ever experienced while looking at the Bnet backdrop. A little more advanced than the regular "you suck".
This is why i love destiny......always something entertaining going on his channel
Destiny you just made my day

holy fuck, what is destiny's IQ???
he's a genius...

I love Destiny. Give this guy a day time talk show.
Y-ya know, d-don't... say... sweahs.
I think the guy's going to be a pretty good parent.
Is that Jerma reference really this old? holy moly
Destiny is so awesome :)
Did anyone else notice the slight touch of sarcasm on the "Thanks Steven" at the end?
I love hos he wrote the description in 3rd and 1st person perspective. xD
Where is that arguing? That is a normal discussion
You seem to perceive the word "argument" as something negative, as in "fighting verbally", while it can just as much be a constructive talk. Basically, they were arguing about if cursing is appropriate or not and the conclusion was: Yes and no, theres a time and place for everything.

SelfMadeHero04 Well my mother language is not english so I might be a bit confused there, but doesnt argue mean something like squarrel?
Sontraid My mother tongue isnt english either, but I learned english in an international school, taught by native speakers in detail. I also learned a lot online :P

huge fallacy, u cannot base every1s experience upon ur own. unless u suggest all bully victims submit to a hive mind
man I'm 20, at college and my family's military. pretty sure if I told my pops to shut the fuck up I'd set a record for visiting every continent simultaneously.
Ibnspud WOW YOU ARE SO COOL
af e HEY THANKS MAN CAPS LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL
You sir are a God of the interwebs!
Woot Good job man XD i loved this
Watch his stream everytime he's on, for months. And this is probably the smartest dude I've ever knew, in all aspects.
Steven, just wow. you sir are a master
The love at the end of the call, beautiful.
Damn... o_o You just knocked me off my ass with that debate.
I love the tags
this was great.
OMG THIS IS HILARIOUS!!!
Full respect for Steven always.
I loved destiny as hes so direct and his language is on par. NOW I love him that little bit more.
Wow, I'm not going to lie: I have NEVER seen a CZcams comment that sounded so respectful and nice with THAT number of curses in it. lol good job :)
I love the description to this video.
"No idea why this happened." XD
Has anyone ever noticed the video is the same length as the game time in the menu?
this needed an after commentary from Steven.
This is exactly why I watch everything destiny puts up. Regardless of SC2 skills, there's no player smarter or more articulate then this guy. Just a lot of fun listening to him talk to anyone
I think Steve has finally found his calling in life, a family counsellor.
this is really good conversation, especially the bullying one
I liked and favorited this video when Destiny mentioned the school issue (avoiding and not teaching) it is so cool that someone like Destiny can leave this message on a lot of young ppl like me :)
Thanks, Steven. I have a persuasive essay on school uniforms in a couple days.
wow. this was actually really insightful.
I like how the game was 18 minutes and the video was 18 minutes.
Debates are a type of argument but in a formal manner. Arguments are not necessarily done in anger. A quarrel, however, is more specifically an argument done in anger.
Much respect bro
@THESJS lol thats why the video is "Destiny arguing" not "Destiny PvZ" the best you could hope for was a so-so game with an argument going on in the background, which would be the focus. I personally enjoyed the video.
Guy says 'like, you know' three times per point he's trying to present.
This is incredibly intellectual.
Amazing Destiny. Purely amazing.
Steven Bonnell = Best life coach ever
This is more of a conversation than an argument tbh :)
Destiny is a clever guy, he's entertaining as hell to listen to. You should do a podcast or something, I'd sub to that.
This was a very intelligent debate from all sides :)
this is more of an debate then an argument.
LoL the fact that this is tagged with 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 4v4, loving it.
It's simple: it's relative.
Relatively to the situation, judge by yourself if cursing is appropriate or not.
"as someone who's been through the educational system"
sounded almost like an unintentional offensive remark towards the mother hehe
quite a good video
How do people swear to their Mothers like that. I can't imagine cursing to my Mom...
Steven, you've gotten in these conversations and arguments constantly and every time you have really great points. So... good job and stuff.
'Just, like, awkward, like, you know, I don't know' Damn, son.
at the end you shouldve said "good luck and have fun" haha
Anyone else just read the title and get super amped for some lulz?
The game is about 12mins irl because of the 'faster' game speed setting.
omg i love steven
Seems like saying "what's up dude" to elders has become a lot more appropriate these days.
look at the video length then game length then who won the game and then the opponent's name.
starcraft is the perfect metaphora for this conversation.
Rofl I have never seen anybody debate as well as destiny. Never slips up at any point in conveying his message. Hes awesome
This is more educational than Dr. Phil.
And usually has adverse effects in the long term and ends up with even bigger problems than you've had beforehand. it's like your TV flickering, and you smashing the side of it in hopes it'll just work properly afterwards.
Listening to this conversation makes me feel smarter.
I love how he took complete control.
pity there's no more of this, just memories :(
destiny, what happend?
this is so poetic that I almost can't believe it's real
u sir. are a god.
Anyone else notice the overview says RootDestiny vs Ma?
