That Demko save was crazy! best save of the playoffs so far! Lindholm, Garland and Joshua were so good. Rogers Arena was rocking!
Nah, the best save so far was the Freddie Anderson desperation denial on Noah Dobson.
The shot hit Demko’s pad, he could’ve been standing still and the save still would’ve happened.
Suter was phenomenal too

Lindholm did the heavy lifting on the first Joshua goal by taking the body and creating the turnover and he doesn't even get an assist!

I gotta say the Predators played with a lot of heart trying to punch up but the Canucks were brutal in the middle of the ice in that third period. If they continue play like that, watch out everyone. I’m so glad playoff hockey is back. Good luck everyone!

Just got home from the game. Oh boy, for my first playoff game ever that really was perfect. The crowd was absolutely on one, I’ve never heard Roger’s arena so loud. My friends and I all left the match grinning ear to ear. Truly a memorable event :)
This game was minsblowing to experience live. I wish everyone could experience the energy of a vancouver home game

Hearing the thundering roar of Rogers Arena after the go-ahead goal was incredible!
I like the defense chants, it takes away from the nervous silence in the arena while on the PK.
Ya I always thought it was dumb for hockey fans to chant it but I liked it during the game last night cuz it helped my nerves on the PK …
That arena was one of the loudest i had ever heard! And the moment Joshua scored that first goal my first thought was "Shannon called it!" Great win for your Canucks!

I live in the eastern US but I have always had a soft spot for the Canucks and it was a great game last night. The best series to watch any given year is the series with a team or teams who hasn't made the dance in a while.

As a preds fan, I can say with confidence that nucks have nothing but DOGS on defense. We couldn't check Zadorov to save our lives. That dude is a Rushmore of a man lol.

I was so happy just to see how full and LOUD Rogers Arena was!! I notice sometimes they definitely enhance the crowd noises when there's no one there but last night they didn't need any of it. I'm honestly not even mad at how expensive tickets are right now, I'm just so glad to see fans packed back into the arena again!!
Happy for the Canucks! Would have been a shame if their first game back to home playoff hockey was a loss so good they got the win! Now the pressure is fully on Dallas and Edmonton to not be the first home team to lose .

He came outa net and tried to draw a penaltie by not moving into his net. Nashville played dirty most of the game. Schen held the puck in his gear when he coulda let it drop but didnt. Player leg locked a canuck so he couldnt join the rush the other way. And there was a very obvious holding call in the third that wasnt called

Vancouver looked a bit shocked by the physicality in the first period but recovered to make it into a grinding type of a game for both teams.

Nash fan here, gosh this one hurt. You do so well for so long, and a big mistake is all it takes. Well fought game overall though. I know i'm a minority here but just wish we could've kept it up the whole time

@@thomasjackson1205it is for both sides, but when they call 3 straight soft ones on vancouver when nashville is playing dirty then that is uncalled for. + a nashville player player punched a canuck and lafetry got dubble crosschecked and there wasnt 2 penalties
Love the bling! That game was a bit of all right, for a first game back in the playoffs for many years. The instrumental "The Streets have No Name" gave me chills and probably the Predators thought they were being trolled.
Kevin Bieksa said on the broadcast that hearing Where the Streets Have No Name gave him goosebumps and I felt that.

Shannon you're not gonna believe me but, before this game I was talking to my friend (who introduced me to you and chose the Canucks as his 2nd team because of you) about how I think there should be a "Tim Thomas Award" given to the player that played years in the minors and when finally given the chance to play in the NHL, has an out of nowhere good season and I proposed that we give it to Dakota Joshua. Then this game happened haha

Joshua was drafted by the Blues and played with them briefly. My impression of him during that time was that he never kept the puck on his stick more than a millisecond and that he didn't look to be anything more than a 4th liner at best. We'll see if his career continues to move in a positive direction.

I thought Preds were doing fine, we've played many grindy games that we eventually came out on top of this season, and we never trailed until the gwg in this game. It's a bummer to have all that fight in us (in both teams) for the narrative to just be the 12 seconds, but that's hockey! Looking forward to this series, when both sides settle down and start hitting the net with more of these shot attempts, we should see some more lopsided games, or at the very least, even more exciting ones!
Most definitely the two periods I watched the first and second I thought we played good but from what I’ve seen stupid mistakes in front of the net is what cost us and let the Canucks score in the 12 seconds. Hopefully Preds can fight back I know they are capable it’s just a matter of if they do.
