Struggling so hard with this today trying to import some old roster files into NCAA football games. You saved the day! Very new to emulators and was missing that second link of files. Very easy walk through.

thank you so much, was new to this ps2 emulator stuff... had to download some old 2 player ps2 games like Gran Turismo, Auto Modellista and etc... your tutorial was very easy to do unlike others. Had to buy 2 controllers so me and my little brother can play, good times ahead of us I guess! how did you get it work
I know how to add the game saves but when i want to import another game save for a different game it deletes the other game save and replaces it with the new one for the second game i did :/
i can't change my memory to read. i do every single steps, but don't working. idk what happen. How i do to read this?
What if i already have savedatas in memory card 1? it doesn't give the option to format it

hey man, could you help me? I've been tryna download the third save in god of war 1, the one after the hydra fight, I found one but it is for PAL, and my emulator is NTSC, I tried using mymc and a hex editor, but that didn't work, pls help
when on the mymc app i click on the Mcd001 folder a window pops up saying C:\Users\30694\Documents\PCSX2\memcards\Mcd001.ps2: Not a PS2 memory card image what do i do????

Do the memcards on the emulator have a game limit? I'm planning on using only one memcard for all of my games but i want to be sure about its limits. Also is there any chance any of my games saves will corrupt or overwrite other existing game saves if i'm using only one memcard?
I'm no expert, but I would assume they would have an 8mb limit like the original ps2 memory cards which is probably why they give you an option to create more than one memory card in the emulator.

my saving files that i dowwloaded dont have finish with .cbs,its like a folder with 3 different things.is there a way to fix that?
try it and see if it works. if it don't then look elsewhere for some other format.
Doesnt work says theres already a file with that name when I try to name the memory card

I'm using a Mac OS and for some odd reason I'm able to locate the memory card but I can't seem to find the save file when I am trying to import it, I've downloaded .cbs file and I tried .max as well. Any suggestions?
you can't find your downloads anywhere? Maybe this might just be a mac problem, but you should be able to find it with no issues.

I'm trying to import a DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 save data file, it's cbs, and it works perfectly insertion wise, but it keeps booting into memcard 1 instead of 2, what do I have to do?
Haven't been messing with psx2 emulator for a while, but you might wanna look into the settings on the myc program or maybe your emulator settings.

Mymc want me to open with another application and I don’t know how to do that
I just tried it on two different files (.cbs and .max). While my memory card could read both files, there was no saved data in either of them. How could this be solved ?

I'm no expert here but maybe you didn't extract the files? Idk it might just be a compatibility issue. Not sure how many updates psx2 has came out with ever since i made this video.

Maybe. Try to uninstall pcsx2 and installing it again.

No don't do it. I only did it cuz I didn't have a memory card made. You only format when you make a new memory card

I don’t think there’s gonna be any issue with it. Other people in the comment section have pointed out that they had success with transferring other file types.
Lord knows i been trying to figure this out for a few years. Still seems a bit complicated then it need be. The emu itself should already have all this installed if u ask me. Tnx 4 posting!

when i go into the browser ps2 thing i can see my SAN ANDREAS save and i also see it in mymc thing too, however when i load the game i cannot see the save, do you know why this is happening. followed everything just isnt showing in actual game
I'm not sure tbh. Could be that you have save data that's a different region from your ps2 bios.

hmm you might wanna try downloading other save datas from other websites. Please be careful though. I can't guarantee that you won't get any viruses.

You can always add another memory card to your emulator, separate from your current one as a contingency.
I'm pretty sure you can name the second memory card whatever you want. Just make sure once you create your memory card, you go to "boot bios" (like i did in the video) and format the memory card.

i just keep getting a "loadlibrary error. module not found." i always follow these vids to a tee and seem to always come out with problems : (
it could be a lot of things man. The drivers on your computer need to be updated or the program itself is problably outdated. The one I used for this video to transfer saves was downloaded back in 2020, so the newer versions of pcsx2 are problably not compatible with it anymore. Maybe try installing and using an older version of pcsx2 and follow along again. The pcsx2 build version I'm using in this video is 1.6.0
You can also skip the part where I make and format a memory card. I only did that because i didn't have one, and to show I wasn't transfering save data from an existing one.

If you're talking about the part where I create a new memory card and format it, then no just skip that part. I just created and formated a new memory card to show I wasn't doing anything sketchy. Other than that, just follow the rest of the steps.

Sounds like you need to update your version, or maybe its a hardware issue.

That's just the default name on the memory card when you install the psx2 emulator. You don't have to name it that.
good tutorial but even when searched generally into google I tihnk the mymc program as been shut down / discontinued
