Fortnite is easier to play while adding something fresh every season and adding crossover skins that will easily reel in casuals.
Meanwhile Apex is a difficult game and is so unforgiving to newer player. With meh to ok BP rewards and rare updates changes.
Just like WOW, the only thing that could kill Fortnite is themselves.

Cheaters have been so bad in almost every multiplayer game I've played recently. It's made me go back to single player games or games that I can just play with my friends.

@@sparkyenergia The thing is, it's getting harder and harder to deal with cheats. If you become a dev, then you can say something, but you don't know how hard it is to combat this issue. Everytime you deal with cheaters, they find a way around it, then you have to find a way to deal with them AND their circumvention and the cycle continues, it's really hard.

@@sparkyenergia They don't actually need to do anything if they don't want to, it's a free game, you don't have to pay to play or keep playing it. They could say right now that they change the entire game or that they take it down. Even if you did pay for a live service game, they could still just do that, but then they would probably have to refund the cost of the remaining days on everyone's subscription. Also of note, EA is not developing the game, Respawn is, EA just publishes the game.

For the first time ever I am going to say this: Apex is dying and it is dying fast. The cheaters, EA doing their usual EA stuff, Respawn being incompetent and the list goes on. Only the most hard core try hards are still playing daily. Which in turn makes the game insufferable for casual players. People that play maybe 10 hours pr week, if that much. The fact that they do not have SBMM in pubs is just insane to me. It is all retention based, and as such is garbage. You can come back after 2 months of not playing, have one great game because your "SBMM" is reset to that of a new account. Boom, now you are playing with 3-stacked Preds and Masters. If your highest ever rank is, lets say Plat, then you should never be facing Preds. A glitching of the lobbies so you get way higher skilled lobbies is bound to happen, but they do it on purpose. On top of which they also removed duos, the only way to play the game in a fun way when your 3rd has IRL stuff to attend to. This game needs to die. I want it to die. They are making WAY too much money being entirely incompetent. This game is the definition of failing upwards and there is no way I am ever using IRL cash to get their trash battlepass. I bought it once because it was self sustaining, and that has given me good value. BPs have almost all been trash, but after the first one it was free so trash was fine. Now it is going to be trash and you have to pay 10-20 buck TWICE pr season. Insanity all around.
the whole entire game no matter the playlist has SBMM, xdefiant is like the only game to not offer SBMM and it didn't go well, so unwell that they added some form akin to SBMM. the majority of players that play apex may be casual 10 hour per week players, but the majority of people consistently online are not casual.

The excuse that "they might be having a losing streak" is retarded, a true sbmm would never put them together if the disparity between them is so high regardless of win/lose rates. Plot twist - EA is so money hungry they sell cheats to their own game
it's not even just cheaters, the game itself need massive technical fixes. Things like in game audio layering and making certain sounds become mute, wraith portal not letting players go through it randomly, NEO STRAFE SCRIPTS that still work somehow, terrible matchmaking, unoptimized servers, ping abusing, aim assist, strike packs and recoil scripts, it's just unplayable unless you use a 3rd party program to compete with the other players who are using them or 3 stack.
EA knows this game can't be fixed and is now gonna pump and dump it.

It doesn’t take 10 devs I’m not even a great programmer and I’ve user submitted hard fixes to almost every cheat currently seen in the game including a wall hack detection. They just don’t care to implement any of it. They are a Lazy greedy company with nobody left who knows how to code so they outsource everything. That’s the reality.
Also the tick rate is at the bare minimum at 20 ticks causing server replication to be well over capacity as it currently is, implementing any form of live checksum or real time detection means either finally updating their code and increasing server tick rate or undermining key ticks like audio queues even more to make space for detection
TLDR; they don’t know how to do any of this, and they fired or pushed out any devs who did.

Villain J Meyels is the villain EA needs because I’ve been at this point with apex for a year now. 20 tik rate servers, ranked which is better now but suppose to be a playlist to indicate if you have skills to want to go pro in the game or become streamer has been a let down. as long as EA is connected to apex, this game never going to be fixed again. even if its fixed it'll take foreverr. trust me EA is the problem.
Why can’t they have a script that runs on all accounts with value ranges and if the player exceeds the value range then they are deemed cheating, and then this system can be tweaked throughout a season gathering more variables and if people get false banned then that will be taken into consideration and after that they will have a huge variable table that can deem if someone is cheating or not. Then when the system detects the cheater they will be kicked from a game and if they get kicked 2 times in a row they will be temporarily banned and then the manual review will come in, and if they deem you are cheating due to improbable variables they find on your account then you will be Permabanned but if they are cautious of you and can’t determine if you are cheating your account will be in the orange and if you get kicked from one more game after that you will be permabanned. I feel like this could be a type of solution to the cheating problem it’ll just take time and effort
I think this younger generation has fallen into a repetitive cycle of 'the game is rigged, none of this shit matters, let's just torch the whole system' and it's kind of sad.
I literally stopped playing Warzone because of cheaters and had to find a new game to play which was Apex. Now it’s happening to this game which I really love. May be time to either quit gaming or find another FPS shooter to play. CS or Valorant will be my next go to if Apex falls.

Some years ago, I was playing CSGO and was Global, but that's the problem. Cheaters easily get accounts that are Supreme or Global, because farming accounts on CSGO & getting them to high rank is easy and lucrative. I interviewed one of the cheaters from the other team (3 stack cheaters + 1 random cheater on their team) because he was talking to the cheater on our team and they were bragging about the hacks they use and how much they paid etc. They also shared a discord link to talk about them there. I think I still have the video of the discord convo in one of my drives because I joined them to get some answers.
Long story short - they said that they're not having fun in the game without cheats and when I said "but you're ruining everyone else's game by doing this" they simply replied that they DO NOT CARE at all about that and they just want to have their fun at the expense of others.
I told them "You can just play a different game instead of breaking the rules here & ruin our games", to which they just replied "we don't care".
Cheaters are, and always will be, subhumans and in my opinion you shouldn't treat them any different than that. Don't treat them as humans, they've lost that privilege long time ago.
I am playing with some apex community discord players, 80% players saying this game has many cheaters, and everything bugs*/glitches . And some ppl wants to quit a game and u know what are they sayng? "that they will cheat get a ban and never touch the game again.
Worse then the cheater problem is the matchmaker for casual players that want to play for fun. People like me experience the same BS that all the sweats encounter in ranked right now in every. single. fucking. game. they queue into.
When I as silver player need to fight the top 26 pred from last season, it feels even worse then top preds in ranked needing to fight cheaters, because its literally the same skill difference.
And this is going on for like 11 seasons now - atleast for me. Every. single. Season.
So basically "Pro Players" have to experience now what I have to feel every day i play this game, for hours on end. There is literally no difference.
Fix the matchmaker. Why? Because a working matchmaker would also fix the cheater problem and literally put the cheaters in lobbies where they only fight other cheaters while casuals can have fun. Pro players can have fun. Newbies can have fun.

The cheating problem CAN be fixed. EA refuses to do so. That's per MANY hackers in the sport, including thor. They almost unanimously say that apex won't fix.
The BP math is simple for EA: few people actually paying the BP >>>> a lot of people getting it for free (from last BP apex coins). And i agree with you, cheaters are the worst thing ever and seems like EA just gave up, apex is left to a slow and miserable death.

I report the same cheaters daily and nothing. Been like this for seasons now .
instead of the game devs or directors, it's probably the finance guys who are sitting on top of them and knew nothing about the game that are pushing for these changes.
I've been playing several sessions a week since release. I haven't been on since Saturday and I'm not sure I'm coming back. I'm so sick of the cheating. As soon as I hit Plat II it becomes just flat out ridiculous. There are sweat lords for sure and I'm happy to lose to them, but to cheaters, teaming, (insert BS flavor of the day)...nope I'm done.
Step to save apex:
1) You have to find the bots that are leveling accounts and ban them. It doesn't matter what the level requirements are if you have no chance of stopping the bot levelers.
2) Assuming you have accomplished step 1, create a new "introductory to apex" lobbies and give them actual bot games as well as sprinkling in a few other new players to them. Let them play here for the first 10, 20, whatever levels you want and learn the maps and game. This insulates real players from fresh account cheaters assuming you have stopped the bot leveling.
I promise you no cheater wants to manually play against bad players and bad EA game bots for 20 hours or whatever. New players actually need to be shielded by anyways and if its mostly not actual players in those games they get a chance to learn and cheaters will be driven crazy. The damn key is stopping the bot accounts from leveling though. I AM TALKING AUTOMATED REMOVAL not manual shit.

I completely uninstalled Apex yesterday, for many of the reasons you've highlighted. It's obvious that EA's policies are simply to fatten thier bottom-line rather than the entertainment and prosperity of the community they've created. From rampant cheaters, to egregious microtransactions, to technical issues within the game; there are hundreds of instances of negligence in the support of Apex across the board. It's a shame, I really enjoyed Apex while it was playable. Many people have put thier hearts and souls into making and maintaining Apex, to see it ruined by malicious community members and by the very company that owns it is such a waste of fun.
Community had a a chance to voice their issues but we were gaslit by content creators who wanted that ea exclusive content etc. including noko

the proof is that no game in history has ever done a good job at it, there never will be a way to prevent it, and just as the human population grew, crime rates grew, and the gaming community grows so will the cheating rates.
Organize an Apex Boycott for right at the beginning of the new season. Nothing motivates companies to fix things more than cutting off their income until fixing an issue.
These issues would be fixed in a week if we did that.

It might be in their best interest to shut the game down for a while to figure this out. Sure they'll lose some money when spending stops but they're going to lose a lot more when the game officially dies and they're forced to shut it down

Apex Dev's could be BEST people ever lived, but they SUCK in their job. Period. You can't tell same thing about bridge architect - if he will build BAD bridge he will get consequences. He is NOT professional, he did a terrible job and no one will ever let him do that job again. Thats a point. Respawn dev's SUCK, no matter who they are, they are not able to do their job no matter how hard they try, which means they should be fired and people who can cope with their task should be hired in their place. My game freezes at least 3 times a session since the latest update; I’ve tried all the CZcams guides to fix it. Any helpers. The game is fun for me, but my goodness I never hear anything good regarding the game. It’s always negative news. Want to experiment with reports for a video? Here's an idea free of charge:
Extremely toxic player here. I got permabanned for saying a bad word so I've been taking out my frustration by reporting absolutely everyone who says even the lightest swear word or has even a slightly offensive name on Apex. Every time without fail when I do this, I get a confirmation email from EA that says my report has been reviewed and action has been taken (or not).
However, when I report cheaters for aimbotting or impossible recoil I never get an email confirmation. They don't look at your reports. Like at all. Unless you say a bad word in which case a bot will ban you.
Try this out for yourself if you don't believe me. Report every player that kills you for cheating for a week. Then wait another week. And then start reporting people who have offensive names or say even slightly offensive things in chat. Only the latter will result in emails where EA tells you that your report has been reviewed.
I have seen this as well, I always report that snappy aim spectate or then absolute zero recoil from super low levels. I have never once got a confirmation email… I reported a couple people for trash talking a younger gamer who was in our LFG post and who was just trying to play a game and have fun. They said some pretty fucked up things to him. So I reported them for the offensive language I believe.. then I got the email… I was blown away.
reports for cheating require multiple multiple reports from uniques users, one report will never ban a cheater, but if they add up they will flag the account, this is to prevent false accusations from triggering perma bans and why people think reports don't work, its an anti abuse system, with reporting of offensive names or chat offenses a bot can quickly determine if something had been said with text and audio files from that match ID, they can actually print the proof out, when cheaters get flagged with reports a dev actually has to manually review those cases, if the AC doesn't auto detect it, its manually done which even if .1% of players reported for suspected cheating, there ends up with mhundreds of thousands of cases needing to be manually reviewed which ends up backlogged, not to mention, AC devs sometimes actively wait before banning people as to not alert the cheat developers to what it is they detected, so they have to spend more time figuring what caused a ban within their product.
They can’t get rid of the cheaters. If they actually do there would be no one to play the game.
It's always been like that, the subscription based cheats or a large sum for "lifetime" + they have their own private discord servers. They even have different people that distribute the same cheats. They tend to update the cheats hours after the official updates done to the game. As for the cheap accounts, you can just get them from acc selling websites, which tend to be cheap. I was flabbergasted of how organized cheaters are not the ones buying, but the one developing and selling them. One of the main reasons I quit apex recently.
Apex needs to do something about those people. Like some companies sued some people/company for millions for creating cheats.
@@MrDiegoc16they can't in a lot of cases depending on where they're based developing the mod menu isn't against the law so theres nothing they can do since laws very country to country and when they can and 1 developer gets shut down there's still a dozen more and its a long tedious process. Also it's not #1 priority either
It's not that they "CAN'T" do ANYTHING about the cheating, it's that they "WON'T", because they know how "BIG" the problem is and these cheaters spend $ on the game too. There are "OTHER" games that have taken cheating seriously, non of them are "EA" games.
And if they want to prevent cheating as much as possible, then this should become punishable by law. Let's see how many of those pathetic wastes of oxygen (the cheaters) will actually do it again.

God dude i have 9k in hours on this game and regret everything. Fucking disgusting behavior, at this point someone needs to have heads roll at EA & Respawn. Also whoever says its all EA i find it bullshit, Respawn doesnt have the balls they need to tell EA you do this we quit and goodluck on anyone else fixing this bullshit.

Dude but its such bullshit ive never spent so much time on a game grinding use to be proud i solo'd to master season 10 11 12 nd 13 and sin e then been struggling to hit it solo so joined some homies now they left and im back to square one. I love this game so much and seeing something you lo r be destroyed from simply things that could be corrected like better anti cheat servers etc. Like literally i dont mean to sound like a bitch but man its just so upsetting to the point where idk man idk what im saying im juat venting and wish someone would save the game i truly love dude, i fucking had so much passion for it. Respawn can give us an option to only play with people who have the battlepass. Reason - the battlepass is a paid option and cheaters are not going to pay for the game over and over 1000 times.
I fell we are in the middle of the death of multi player FPS online. If the cheater problem is not fixed (in all games) soon. I give it 12 months. To get my fix for fps shooters it will be back to mission offline games (which I'm not a fan of) Or reinstall UT for a simple fix of CTF against bots.
It’s the cycle of life for EA games. Unfortunately APEX is in its last chapter. This is the type of damage that’s irreversible. Ask Cyberpunk and Battlefield if they ever recovered from their mess up. RIP APEX.
Instead of paying for season pass with real money, why not pay to win for real just sub to be a cheater?

no absolutely no. if you want to trust a company with the privacy of your machine to only look at if theres cheats HELLL NO. and EAC is a Kernel level anti cheat, however if you go with a more intense kernel level ac then you are likely going to alienate any player that games on linux (may not be as much as windows users but its a group of people that you dont want to alienate cause you're in the business of making money)

There needs to be an invisible tier in sbmm so if they are tracking kd and etc when an account breaches a threshold that player is placed in separate tier where only other cheaters can exist
The only way to get them to give us what we want is to have everyone legit just not play or buy anything at all. But sadly that won’t happen

I never buy battle passes and don’t really play games with that business strategy. Apex is a very bad game, there’s so many cheaters that it is unplayable. I uninstalled years ago and 2 years later it’s still the same rant. Can’t believe people still play this game.
