I assume stages come faster and faster: which stage do we become The Borg?
In the year 2085, but without the transwarp conduits---nothing can go faster than light.
My personal guess (having been looking into this stuff and following AI and transhumanist stuff for a decade, so I'm deffinitely biased lol!) is probably in 5 to 10 years the human population will start becoming cyborgs in a true sense (mostly just those with disabilities or special cybernetics for adding senses etc) and maybe by 2050 we'll start seeing cybernetics that outperform human biology.
@@user-zl9sh9mz6h Nothing with mass can go faster than the speed of light. There is still loop holes such as warping space itself (which contains no mass), but that requires substances with negative mass which may not exist. There is a chance it might be possible and DARPA has done experiments that resulted in effects that seem like negative mass so it's within the realm of possibility.
All that said though, even without lightspeed if it never becomes a thing, it's fine. We'll just have to travel the old fashioned way, by sublight. 30% lightspeed is still enough to reach nearby star systems in just a measly 15 to 20 years or so.

Who would win the Battle of Wits and Intelligence... our AI or Alien Intelligence???
We might get a bit closer to AGI in the next 25 years or so, or at least something close enough to be considered AGI.
Anything beyond AGI won't happen until there's more advanced Neuralink interface devices to further train the AGI.
Somewhere at this time, humans will merge consciousness with AI, possibly living in a Matrix, or assuming robot or 3d bio-printed physical forms.
We'd even be able to send our consciousness through laser data stream to the other side of the Universe, given there's a receiver and 3d bio-printer or robot to download into.
Humans will transcend physical body's and become the next stage of AI, through this and further tech advancement Human-AI will grow to level 10 GOD like AI.
Simply draw the line at General AI, we really don't need or want a smarter ai than that

Yes 2026 seems a long way off from how it is progressing.
In the not so distant future, perhaps at the beginning of the 22nd century, we will be able to transfer our consciousness to machines, prolonging our consciousness indefinitely and becoming practically immortal. For those who have money, of course !!
Reasoning AI is 5 to 10 years away....that is your #4.
