- "If I talk too much, I risk to repeat." Italian architect Gaetano Pesce's works of art fill the halls and walls of museums all over the world, but how has he remained so elusive, separating designer from the design? In 1968, he designed Foot "UP7" and began to carve out an artistic style uniquely his own. Now, at 82-years-old, Pesce speaks to his career, craft, and begs the question, is he the most interesting designer in the world?

I really would want to know more about this artist, every word has says about art just sounds so rich and knowledgeable about his life works .
Nah he’s just Italian, lol. You must be American 😂
haha, it's a designer
He said that he’s an artist only when he messes up the mixing ratio of the resin and ends up with a collapsed piece that he can’t find a name for and just ends up calling it a sculpture.
"The static life is horrible, it's like dying before time"
The combination of his wisdom and design IS the tone set for contemporary, hands down.
"If I talk to much I risk repeating"
interesting, interesting, interesting
I love seeing your he thought process of these great creatives. Definitely an artist I’ve always wanted to understand. Great interview ☺️🙏🏽
Such creative artwork. It’s different and colorful and bright. And such an interesting artist. I loved hearing his explanations. Is this something that’s done weekly or monthly that I can subscribe to? An artist of the month, perhaps?
"I am curious, and I keep giving nutrition to this curiosity."
I really think more people need to see this video it’s lowkey full of insight
Insight, that’s the operative word I was missing…
Everything is a master piece of art.. With learnings. I'm excited to know more about his collection
Honestly i had no idea who this man is. But he has a cool aura. His creations are... Interesting really. Really simple but creative
wow, such an interesting gentleman! he' and his artwork are amazing!
He is an incredibly brilliant human!
Wow he is amazing and so insightful, I love the question about the chair and it's many forms in resin of is this an object or art or sculpture or design or a chair? And what a fantastic creative space!
He really defines that art has no boundary.
I also love doing things sometimes not in traditional way
Trying to do things differently will lead to making something new.
That's how we innovate
thank you for your beautiful mind and designs
What an great artist ❕
Love this artist 🌙
Fascinating to hear, and funny as heck! I've always liked his works. I don't know if there are any pieces I can afford. Will have to take a look.
his vases are sort of affordable (obviously expensive vase-wise, but it's something I use and love everyday, so worth it)
beautiful man and beautiful video
Love this guy
Amazing artist🌷💜
An amazing artist 😘😘😘
Wonderful...
would like to know what is the past project called, the tower with different floor facades?
Wow, astounding
Love this dude! What an eye for impression.
thankx
Very cool!!!
love ths guy !!!!!
he is a visionary
sei un grande gaetano
There are so many better designers exploring so much more. I just think ‘calling some the greatest’ is unfair to the concept of subjectivity in art
Awesome
Genio Gaetano 💙
This dude rules.
For the next video, I would like to see Macaulay Culkin go undercover on the internet soon.
A genius!
Gaetano Pesce and I have the same office chair 😎
We have the same surname 😎
Praise be to the hands that made the chair. they probably gets minimum wage.
didn't expect that 4th "interesting"
but anyways
DEFINATELY
Yes.

@@alexxthechemist6317 thanks! do you know what version is? because sounds different to the original mix
@@romanleira wym which version
@@romanleira I just know this version I think it’s a sample tho haven’t found the original
Looks like childrens nightmares to me
Yes, Geatano, you are.
The mama chair also reminds me of a woman and her child (connected by umbilical cord)
He’s the primary suspect to be Banksy as well. Just when I thought he couldn’t possibly be any cooler 😵😵
You should look up 'blek le rat', he's a french graffiti artist who was around before Banksy, and Banksy stole most of art basically line for line. Also, there's no way this guy is Banksy, I don't really belive anyone seriously thinks he is.
@@pegleg2959 this comment made me laugh very hard man. The way you responded to that was pure gold no sarcasm 😂
♥️
he is interesting
Liminality is the key to so much magick in this world, See beyond your sight, Feel what you wish to manifest.

The static life is horrible 💥

Why he looks like he has that sad crying cat eyes filter 😂

he is a great artist, but to say that he invented the green facade in architecture is a reach that has no equal. i am an architect and I did green facades in study projects without ever hearing who this guy is - because it is natural and obvious to make the facade green, I didnt need gaetano to roger that.
You did green facades because u saw many buildings before with green facades its not your original idea. What he meant is that he started the green facade idea and now you see it everywhere
@@dorratrojette i did it because yes I saw it many times and because it is natural to do it, if you study architecture. 1938 is the year gaetano was born, and it is the same year stanley hart white, a professor of landscape architecture patented "a 'vegetation-Bearing Architectonic Structure". the idea is even older and goes back to hanging gardens of babylon or even the garden cities in germany and england
To answer his question No. He is a master of the narrative. Without his narrative the things he makes are nothing. I couldn’t imagine living with any of his things in the same space, it would cause nausea. The sooner we get over the self indulgent “art” of the 20th century the better.
pfffft there are millions of more interesting artists out there
No!
Noice...
Guess no?
Answering the title of video: "No, he isn't. He is an artist, not a real designer"
The static life is horrible, is like dying before time!!!!!
no
I don’t get why this is great. But I do see millions of dollars in expensive toxic resin being used.. hope he protects his employees
Wtf
Most of us live in a concrete jungle bland depressing UK architects should be jailed they should try look at a artistic side when planning a building house flats ,, architects good for nothing but quick builds in concrete , ,
No.
Seems a bit self absorbed… ngl
I don´t see any sense for beauty or style. It´s certainly not my taste. You have taste or you don´t have taste.
It’s just horrible
