I love his blue suit. Really distinct but subtle pattern.
I agree, it's a wonderful suit made with Drago fabrics from the Cortina bunch. Hugo
@@SARTORIALTALKS Do you know which number it is in that bunch?
@@ruvort1 I know I've seen it before. Could be this one:
propercloth.com/tailored-clothing/bedford-navy-glen-plaid-wool-and-silk-suit-8772.html
What a magnificent blue suit he is wearing!
I agree, I believe it's a fabric from the Drago "Cortina" bunch. Cheers, Hugo
God bless him. And God bless you to Hugo. You are awesome.
Thank you Krunoslav! God bless you too my friend. Hugo
I've been watching Satorial talks and following the community for a year now the introduction music never fails to brighten my day and I get goosebumps every time I hear .
Many thanks Kaustav! Stay safe! Hugo
Yeah....I have to agree with what you wrote. Very much so...
hahaha. yes. For me it is like the music of the champions league. I can come just for the music. But then, I am trapped, the content doesnt let me go.
You are doing a great service for all of us. Merci beaucoup.
Excellent discussion between two beautifully dressed men.....two thumbs up....bravo!!
Thank you Kenneth! Take care, Hugo
Nice wrap up by the master tailor. Beauty is on the eye of the beholder. Focusing on the individual unique features is a stand and by that a real measure of unrepeated art.
Well said indeed. Cheers, Hugo
Great interview, excellent guest. Sharply dressed, he is the best publicity he could have of his own atelier; see the perfect fit of his suit, with a perfectly matching tie, I am breathless, elegance from head to toe. I hope one day I can afford a bespoke suit from him.
Gaetano is indeed a very sharply dressed gentleman as well as a very kind and humble person. A great Maestro. Take care my friend, Hugo
Hugo, thank you. It is clear what sets Gaetano apart. It is not only his commitment to perfection in his style but also his understanding of the world as it is today (not yesterday), his appreciation for what is his job as a tailor, his concern about finding and apprenticing young trainees, and most of all, his passion for giving his clients the unique look that makes each of them feel beautiful in his suits. Fantastic interview!
Thank you David, and you put it very well in a nutshell. Gaetano is among the greatest on this era. Cheers, Hugo
@@SARTORIALTALKS You are so welcome and appreciated, Hugo!
Great ending message by the tailor. It's bespoke, it's for you, my purpose is to make you look beautiul. End of story.
Yes Dimitris, end of story for him and beginning of story for you! Cheers my friend, Hugo
Great video !, I am a young man (20 years old) from Colombia, who loves tailoring and men's clothing, unfortunately in Colombia it is very difficult to find academics where they teach tailor tailoring, but after several months of searching I found one where I am learning When I finish here, I plan to travel to continue learning with you all the great tailors and not let this art die. Thanks Hugo
What spectacular interview. So blessed to have these artisans left. Great work Hugo. Love from Canada
This channel is gold for people interested in style.
Many thanks Johann for your kindness. Cheers, Hugo
Gaetano Aloisio is such an artist! Thank you Hugo, all your videos are elegant, informative and fun to watch!
Thank you for your kind message of encouragement my friend. Hugo
Wonderful conversation. More please!
I love the suits Gaetano is wearing. Both in the interview and the solid steel blue one he is wearing on the picture. Very clean lines!
Thank you for posting English subs Hugo. It really helps me practising my French (If I don't do so regularly, I'm afraid it escapes me quite quickly). If it's not too much work, more subbed French work is highly valued. Grand merci a tous.
Merci Piet! Nous allons faire notre maximum. Amicalement, Hugo
Thank You Hugo 😀😊😀 Loved This Episode 👍🏼
Thank you very much Chris and please stay safe ! Hugo
Thank you so much Hugo for the translated video.this interview with maestro was really enlightening.personally i agree 100% in what maestro said about the"client"s tailor"!after all style is supposed to make you feel good and be able to express yourself.
Absolutely Nikos! Bespoke tailoring of that level is all about being able to express yourself with the help of a Maestro. Cheers, Hugo
@@SARTORIALTALKS personally i turned into bespome tailoring ecause i couldn"t find the suits and shirts i wanted in the ready to wear brands.
@@giannismarkos2097 I can relate to this! Hugo
Wonderful! Thank you for transcribing to English.
You are very welcome! Hugo
Wow I speak no French, had to read subtitles then rewind just to see how pure and elegantly the gentlemen were flowing. Absolute class
Thank you sir for your kind message of encouragement. very much appreciated. Hugo & team
Mr.Jacomet and Mrs.Sonya thanks for your videos. I started watching your videos only during the lockdown. It makes me want to learn more about the right way to dress and improve myself.
Thanks 😊
Thank you very much Harish and welcome in our community. Hugo
Vous nous faites voyager; une fois de plus, merci. Et prenez bien soin de vous.
Avec grand plaisir cher Rémi. Vous aussi prenez soin de vous. Hugo
What a wonderful interview. What Mr. Aloisio describes really wonderfully is the view of the craft and the actual sense behind it. It is primarily about the feeling that is conveyed to the customer.
He leaves his own ego outside and concentrates on the customer.
That is, in my opinion, the holy grail of bespoke. Thank you so much for this video Hugo!
You are very welcome my friend! Please stay safe. Hugo
Bonjour Hugo merci pour ses magnifiques vidéos .
It is my dream to have a suit made by Signore Aloisio. Thanks, Hugo for sharing this wonderful interview.
You are welcome my friend. I hope you are well! Hugo
Hugo and Sonya, we hope you are both well and look forward to your return!

Very interesting. Thank you so much Hugo.
Our pleasure Patrick. Hugo
Aside from the fascinating topic, I was just as impressed by Hugo’s interview skills. Subtly helping Gaetano along and linking conversation themes seamlessly. Joy to watch and learn, thanks.
Wonderful interview!
Many thanks ! Cheers, Hugo
Super vidéo Hugo! Très intéressant! J'ai hâte de voir la 2ième partie! 😊👍
Merci Marc ! Prenez soin de vous, Hugo
Thanks Hugo
Magnifique Hugo, merci beaucoup.
Mind blowing
Awesome!
After watching gentlemen's gazzette and looking at their ugly old terrifying suits with awful colors, i finally came across to this wonderful channel which is much more appropriate to my tastes.
Hugo you rock, you're my man. I love your class your style eloquence and above all your style.
I just subscribed.
Thanks man for the work and these beautiful videos
Please do more interviews like this!
We would love to my friend! Cheers, Hugo
Interesting and on topic again.
Thank you Jean Paul, I hope you are doing well. Cheers, Hugo
@@SARTORIALTALKS thank you Hugo. Same to you Sonya children and all the sartorial talks community. We are lucky that we have developed a remote measuring and fittings service many years ago. 😀😇

You are very welcome Bharath! Hugo
@@SARTORIALTALKS Hugo u r very sexiest man I ever seen ..... I luv drago fabric... One more moment I'm looking 100percent pure vicuna suitings fabric ... Which manufacturer will u prefer....
After bumping onto an article about Mr. Aloisio in permanentstyle from November, 2019, I was curious to learn more. Glad that I now get to watch this video and am looking forward to it! Although I have a perfect mastery in the English language, I think subtitles are a nice touch.
Thanks my friend. The spoken language of this video is French (hence the English sub-titles). Cheers, Hugo
Hugo, I really enjoyed this: hearing from this tailor. Both of you look great (you always rock the DB suit jacket, Hugo ;-)) but I think I've fallen in love with Gaetano's suit - wow!
Bravo, more,
Grazie/Merci/thanks
Tony
I agree Tony, his suit is absolutely stunning. I think the fabric is from the Drago bunch called "Cortina". Amazing fabric. Best, Hugo
Major respect to the maestro!
Thank you Jacob! Take care my friend, Hugo
Excellent video!
Many thanks David. Hugo
tout simplement magnifique
Thank for this Mr. Hugo and Mr. Gaetano! I really wanted to learn menswear and tailoring ever since. I studied fashion design here but unfortunately I wasn't able to finish it. I really wanted to go to Italy to learn the craft. But because I'm a single mom and have my responsibilities here. It's difficult. Maybe, someday, if my kids is already on their 20's. I will be on my 40's that time. But if I have the opportunity. I would do it. Thank you! From The Philippines, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.
You're welcome. Thanks for supporting the tailoring craft by being here. Cheers, Hugo
Thank you Cassie for your message and for your passion for the craft. Greetings from France! Hugo
I received my copy of Italian Gentlemen today and went right to page 90, Gaetano Aloisio. I am so excited to be an admitted novice in the world of Satori
Thanks Robert! I hope you'll enjoy the book. Yours, Hugo
Best theme music of any CZcams channel. Great interview as well...
Thank you Brent. If you want to learn more about this music, please take a look at this video : vimeo.com/331568990

SARTORIAL TALKS 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hi, Mr Hugo i have just made my order for Adelaide Black Calf -888 from Cobbler Union shoes after watching your videos. Now wait is started...take care bye.
The real gem of wisdom here is in his last point : the suit is made for the client not the client being formed to a 'suit'! You may wish to wear Marcello Mastroianni's or Alain Delon's suit but probably cannot, Signor Aloisio would make you look as good but in 'your' suit, it's a big distinction when trying to evolve your style. It's like the Italian saying 'messa a punto' for your personal style!l
He speaks about suits with a lot of passion and deep insight
Thanks Hugo and Sonya! Now I can stop translating the french version (although it was great for learning).
Among many other reasons, I find it fascinating how Gaetano Aloisio can cut a Parisian lapel ( le cran Parisien). I have never seen an Italian maestro do such a thing.
Actually, I've never seen an Italian tailor speaking such a good French neither. He's francophile for sure (even for the notches!!). Take care Rory, Hugo
I like the way he speaks French, I almost don't need the sub-titles
Excellent! Gaetano's French is indeed very good, and his unmissable Italian accent is charming. Best, Hugo
Finally !!! I watched this video in French before regardless my little French words, but i was happy to see both of you ! Today my Dear Hugo you made me so happy to see it again and understand all of if .Thank you so much for this joy .As always you look great , moreover, Gaetano outfit is Amazing and totally fit a Maestro ))), love to you and Sonya ,and hope you are both Save.
Thank you dear Nader. Yes we are safe and in good spirits. We pray you are also safe and serene in Egypt. Best, Hugo
@@SARTORIALTALKS Thank you so much for your kind wishes and prayers))), i'm still save so far!
My copy of 'The Italian Gentleman' arrived this morning and I spent the day reading it instead of doing the work I was supposed to do! In both 'Italian Gentleman' and at 1:20 in this video, you mention the different Italian schools of tailoring. In future, could you do a video discussing in detail the technical differences (e.g. structure, construction) between the Milanese, Roman, and Neapolitan (and Florentine and other) schools of tailoring, similar to your videos about your 6 favorite Savile Row tailors or the difference between French, British, and Italian style?
Thanks for the interesting video Hugo (as always :) what do you think about wearing a Winchester shirt without any neckwear ?
Cheers,
Jonathan.
Mr Jacomet, i've fallen in love with your video's !
Quick Question : I am a 16 year old boy from the English countryside and i would love to begin my satorial lifestyle and wardrobe, but im not sure where to start. Any suggestions on how to begin would be greatly appreciated ?!
Many Thanks.
a real bespoke suit should allow the body to speak out about the more real and authentic persona of the client
@SARTORIALTALKS Do you guys have any suggestions on Taylor's in NYC that I can take my Quality Made To Measure Suits for alterations? Please Help😥
I must add, both of you look dashing and I might add I found a rather subtle difference in both your French cuffs! Yours have a distinct square cut but Signor Aloisio's a rounded edge cut which I have rarely seen and is very elegant...perhaps even old school unless I am mistaken as I often am.....Michel..
Hello Hugo!
What is the name of the beautiful song used for your intros?
Hello Sir, the little dots made by sewing on the lapel of suit, what are called? Also are they to be used on all suit fabrics?
Hi Hugo, superb colour suit. U looking amazing in ur outfit. I call u European Tom Ford. Like to see your cuff links collection one day please. Thanku
Thank you my friend. Cheers, Hugo
Thank you Mr Hugo and Sonya. being of Italian descent, clothes, art, food, cars and architecture are of course what Italy knows better than any other country ;) Hope you are both well.
Many thanks Antonio. We are well thank you for asking. Please stay safe as well. Hugo & Sonya
Thank you, I jest of course. France excels in all those areas too as I tell my wife - who is French. I hope you are able to get back to France soon. My very best wishes to you both.
Very impressive interview Hugo. How can I purchase a piece of fabric from the suite Gaetano was wearing I am interested in having a suite like that made? Again I love your CZcams channel...💯🔥🔥🔥🙌🏾
Dera Johnnie, I believe this suit has been crafted with Drago's Super130s bunch called "Cortina". I'm afraid you can't buy it directly, but ask your tailor / MTM salon, they'll be able to order not for you. Best, Hugo
SARTORIAL TALKS Thank you so much Hugo...🙏🏾
@@SARTORIALTALKS Do you know what number it is in the Cortina bunch?
Any idea what fabric Gaetano's suit is made of? It looks exquisite.
It's a super 160s worsted wool from Drago---Cheers !
Hi Hugo,
This may not be the best place to ask but I have a simple fashion question. I just bought a double breasted English suit. It’s navy and more formal, less Mediterranean. Should I go with black dress shoes or brown? My intention is to wear it more formally. Thanks! Love the show and have both books.
If you are going for a more formal look, black is a perfect choice.
@@ruvort1 thanks for the advice! I'll go for some wholecut oxfords.
Anyone know who makes gaetano eyeglasses, brand?
Howdy Hugo, as an aside, I would like to ask your opinion of wearing bush jackets, and the best way to pull it off. Is it an acceptable substitute for a suit in a business environment when one is in a balmy tropical environment? As I spend 6 months a year in the tropics where temperatures range from 30-40 deg heat, rendering suits unwearable. Thank you so much
Yes of course, some Safari Jackets can be extremely elegant. Greta tailors like Aloisio or Cifonelli are crafting this kind of jackets for their clients living in hot and humid countries. All my best, Hugo
@@SARTORIALTALKS thank you Hugo. Cheers!
Eleganza calabrese
Man, he has a bootiful suit. Like much better than Brit style, which is good but little too much like suit of armor, for me.
questionable hairdo.
