Nvidia RTX 3080 10GB vs AMD RX 6800 XT 16GB - GPU Showdown - Episode 12

Hello all gamers !
Today in this 12th episode I bring you the RX 6800 XT against its main rival at the time of its launch, the Nvidia RTX 3080. The latter, in Nvidia's unfortunately characteristic style, only had 10 GB compared to the 16 GB of the 6800 XT, which was quickly noticed in some titles, as the lack of VRAM became noticeable. When the Nvidia RTX 3080 came out, it marked a leap in the ability to play titles at the highest FPS, and also made 4k at 60 FPS almost guaranteed (depending on title and not very demanding settings).
This RTX 3080 was the last GPU to enter my personal collection, so I will bring more content in the future with this GPU.
P.S: My AMD Ryzen 5800X3D went to RMA, so I had to use my next "more powerfull CPU, the R9 3900XT, so in the future, if necessary, I'll redo the tests.
Without further ado, let's see two excellent GPUs in action at 2560x1440 resolution.

Love the side by side. What makes me mad about 555.99 is in acc the fos sure its high but its cause stuttering. Even the aide by aide you could see the amd side was smoother even if less frames. I love that 555.99 added a few fps but its hurt performance somwehrr else and i cant figure it out. Im a sim racer its all i do so I noticed it right away. Hope the next one fixes it. Because 555.85 was perfection for my sim games.
Now amd low 1%/0.1% make it stutter but the nvidia is rock solid and yet still does it lol only had an issue with the latest driver. Cant wait for the new one.

Good video. I got a 3080, it's a good card. The problem was when I would play single players Far Cry 5 maps at 4k, the 3080 would sometimes run out of vram and then performance would drop like a rock, the game would turn in to a slide show. So I then got a 3090 and that solved the problem. The 3090 is only around 15% faster at stock, 3080's generally have higher overclocking headroom. The 6800xt might have a very long life because of it's 16gb of vram.

the cpu is bottlenecking both gpu's

The CPU is certainly the weakest part of this test, you're right about that, but I'm just waiting for the new generation of processors from AMD or Intel to come out to update my Benchtable. Until then I'll still use this one and when the new generation comes out I'll already have a comparison test here. I wish you a good week.
Espero que a Intel tenha força pra bater de frente com a NVIDIA pq a AMD há muito tempo demonstra que não tem gás pra competir de igual pra igual. Só me lembro que só de se deu bem na época da ATI qdo as Radeon 90xx batia as FX 50xx da NVIDIA, hehehe!
Olá, tudo bem? Sim a AMD desde que me recordo sempre foi a melhor opção preço / performance. Mesmo agora a 7900 XTX consegue combater com a 4080 e 4080 Super, mas por exemplo a 4090 está num patamar exclusivo. A Intel, está a ficar bem melhor do que quando sairam, mas para te ser muito sincero a vejo como sendo a salvação (são sim mais um boa opção custo benefício, mas mesmo assim a AMD continua a oferecer boas escolhas).
