Replace the Starter on a Honda Fourtrax

Save money and replace the starter on a Honda Fourtrax yourself. This video goes through the relatively simple steps of removing the old starter and replacing it with a new one, connecting power and ground and comments on how I determined it had a bad starter versus a starter solenoid relay or cables. This is done on a 1992 Fourtrax 300.

Thank you for this video. I changed the starter on my 1996 300 4x4 and didn’t notice the ground wire on the starter bolt boss attached there. Honestly didn’t even notice the wire itself. Reattached it and the quad fired right up!

Good to zig zag when putting bolts on... Keeps gasket in tact .

I made the same mistake. Didn’t even see the ground wire when I took it off.
