I’m like you are. I’m always happy to help. When my first child was a baby we took him everywhere we could but one night we were offered tickets to a play and children under 5 weren’t allowed. We asked my mother-in-law if she could tend for us and she gave us this big long schpiel of how people take advantage of grandparents for babysitting. We had never asked her before either. My husband finally came out and asked if she would do it or not. She agreed reluctantly so we avoided asking after that. When she got much older and my father-in-law was gone she wondered why her grandkids didn’t visit her. It’s because they didn’t have a relationship with her and the older grandkids who had been around her didn’t like her because she said rude things to them. So I take every opportunity I can to tend my grandkids because it is a privilege and I can build a closer relationship with them. It’s sad because my husband asked our older kids if they had visited grandma at the care facility and they hadn’t even thought about it. They just don’t think about her at all because she treated them like they were a bother and didn’t spend time with them.

I wish I had a mom like Christine. My mom refuses to help. Especially with my daughter. My mom dropped me off every weekend at my Grandma's house. But she won't even sit with my daughter while I go to the store. Fuck what Kody says. Christine has always put ALL the kids first. She's amazing 💕
When my kids were little when I got home from work they would rush to the garage and jump up/down saying “ mommys home, mommys home “….. now that I am retired and my kids no longer live with me……when they walk into the front door to visit I jump up/down saying “ Ryans home” or “ Rickys home”…..It makes me sooo happy! Life has come full circle I guess!😍🥰🤷♀️
This is great for you Christine. You definitely know how to be a great mom and you offering up some advice to other mom would be a great, side hustle. Watching you be a mom over years gave me some great ideas as I was raising my children and for that I thank you❤
