Question of the century 🤔 Kody can pay for a nanny & her husband and most probably a cleaning lady for their McMansion yet he can't afford health insurance for his kids.

I love everything about this, except we never *DID* get an explanation. How can Kody and Robyn have a nanny? When Kody, years ago, was living in fear, before they even had a show to begin with, and because of his fear of being outed and indicted for polygamy, neglected to put all of his children on his health insurance through work. Well…I think it was Maddie, who had to have an emergency appendectomy and she wasn’t on Kody’s insurance.
He explained that the whole family buckled down and worked together to pay the medical bills for the surgery. Fast forward to the present. Ysabel’s need for surgery to correct her severe and painful scoliosis. Kody was disgusting, saying to wait, accusing Christine of using it as an excuse for a vacation and putting the whole family at risk for Covid and flatly refused to go with Ysabel and Christine even though the poor kid cried for her dad after the surgery and begged him to go. Asking that poor teen to put off surgery until it was convenient for him. As a person with a chronic pain condition (and I have very mild scoliosis myself) which is a connective tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos, I can tell you living in chronic pain is downright abusive and negligent as a parent, if you can alleviate that pain of your child but you choose not to dine to your own fears and convenience.
Christine had to pay for most of the surgery. She worked hard, cut down their day to day budget, hustled by selling items she owned and working her MLM business practically 24/7 (I hate MLMs and everything they stand for and how the little guys at the bottom do the hardest graft for a pittance whilst their up line benefits from their margins, but that’s another topic for another day) to raise the money.
The family did not band together, apparently there wasn’t any extra money to be had, but here was Kody…living with Robyn in their $1 million dollar home. Robyn doesn’t work. Kody wasn’t working, at least anything near full time. They have three adults/almost adult children who are doing nothing at home, not even working because of the family Covid “risk”.
So you have Kody, Robyn, her three oldest in that house and no one is working and they’re already hypocrites, because they hire a full time nanny AND her husband for odd jobs who were in and out of the house when Kody refused to visit his other wives and children yet the nanny and her husband were in and out daily. There are only two kids. So even without the nanny, you have 5 people of an age to care for said two kids. No one is going anywhere, lest they break Kody’s Covid rules. The siblings don’t get to see one another and he’s tearing a verbal strip off his son with a different wife for having a girlfriend who is a nurse and putting the family at risk. His two youngest with Robyn? Don’t even remember their siblings’ names. Talk about priority!
Okay, but the kicker is, the nanny gets Covid. But even worse, now with the nanny there, it’s 6 people of an old enough age to care for two children. So what DOES the ever effing loving nanny do, and why, pray tell, did none of the family pull together to help Christine pay for Ysabel’s necessary surgery? They did it for Maddie? And there is King Kody on his million dollar throne, hiring a nanny and a handyman and there is a ratio of 3 able bodied adults/older teenagers to one young child - not even colicky babies, but speaking, school aged children, paying for a full time nanny that by all accounts shouldn’t be needed and depriving his daughter of her surgery?
No wonder Christine left. To add insult to injury, in Utah, she babysat or more correctly, parented 13+ children on her own whilst Meri did whatever she was doing, going to college I believe and grumbling about people walking the feet from one section of house to another, instead insisting everyone walk outside in winter tans go 5 times the distance on slippery stairs and horrible weather to get to the woman living in the basement raising all of them and feeding and cleaning and doing laundry for all the kids and home schooling some, all whilst pregnant. So given her jobs and responsibilities, why does Robyn need that expensive house, 3 adults to care for each small child, paying for the privilege and the woman that even cared for Robyn’s kids on top of everyone else’s (and who didn’t want the marriage due to money/attention/more work/more kids on her plate) who supported everyone was dumped in her hour of need?
How can they pay for a handyman and his wife as a nanny, and buy a house that expensive (and their credit is shit, I still don’t know how they swung it, but I do know their mortgage interest rate is disgustingly enormous, plus the land they bought is sitting there) and be such hypocrites about people coming in and out and not help pay for Kody’s daughter to have necessary and life changing surgery? Christine made them buy her out of Coyote Pass, whilst Robyn was grumbling and probably crying about how strapped they are and how unfair it all is. Good on her. Because what a slap in the face to pull together for other children and Kody’s daughter - his flesh and blood daughter - is relegated to the back, asked to postpone and even hint about it not being necessary and being unaware as to how much pain it caused and how much it impacted her mobility. It’s something else when an audience of a reality tv show knows more about the pain and struggles Ysabel was facing and her father didn’t.
It’s wholly unfair that Christine was left alone to pay for what insurance wouldn’t cover for her child’s surgery and those she helped and sacrificed for, for the better part of 2 decades and some change, are nowhere to be seen, including the father of that child.
And he has the audacity to rail and yell at her in the promos for this new season, being verbally abused by Kody telling her that he sacrificed so much to love her. He is a narcissist and he’s lucky he’s standing there and she is taking it. My husband always says that the best revenge is living well, and Christine has all the grace and charm and patience of a saint, and I think it’s got to Kody and rightfully so.
So yes, if it were me, and given all I’ve just laid out in this message, albeit a very long one, I would be furious but have only one question:

This whole thing is crazy how he's treating his kids and other wives. It seems like he's pushing everyone out of the marriage but Robin and her kids smh. I feel horrible for how they all are being treated especially Christine and her kids. The answer is that there is or was no darn need for a nanny especially during covid. Robin has that big house all the kids should have gone there and Robin take care of them while they were quarantine so the family could've been like the rest of the world staying safe together as a family. Cody divided his family nobody else but I think it gave him an excuses or way to back away from everyone else. Smh it's really sad. Why start a life like theirs if you later are just going to flake out and throw most of that life away like it never existed and get mad when one wife decides to leave for a better life. Smh is all I can say about all of this.

Did Christine have the house that she bought to live in until they built their houses at Coyote Pass in her name only or were the other wives on the title? It will be funny if she is the only name on the title,lol (I know I said title there but I don't mean that there is no mortgage. lol I would love to see Christine make even more money! I write long comments also, and many people usually appreciate it. You were filling in the blanks with facts, not who just had to say something to you about it. Christine says that she was so unhappy since Utah but yet she stayed with Kody the creep and had six innocent children and now after being with him for almost 30 years she finally leaves him, why didn't she think about her children and the way they were being treated by their father and Christine also said she put her kids last and put all the other kids before hers so she's admitting that she also did wrong as a parent. I can't feel sorry for Christine when she could have left it anytime and protected her children but she thought about herself and stayed with Kody!
Christine is far from blameless, she was very actively committed to promoting the "more positive view on polygamy." Apparently, she was the brains behind bringing this 💩 show to TV, even before Robyn was in the picture. The timing just coincided that as they were negotiating with tlc, kody was going goo goo ga ga over Robyn.
However, I think you're being too harsh if you can't congratulate a person who escapes a cult. Next stop, escape religion altogether, *then* she'll have won.
Christine was committed to the lifestyle and loved teaching and caring for her and Janelle's kids. She loved Kody, but he faked loving her. The man is a narcissist and has gas lighted all of his wives into obedience. Christine isn't blameless, but it was 80% Kody and the polygamist view.
