    Is it possible to use the 2.4 band as a "wireless client" to another SSID in let's say 192.168.0.0 network, and the 5 Ghz band has it's own network let's say 192.168.1.0 and let the 5 Ghz client connect to internet through 2.4? It just like the WAN port, but instead using cable, it's the 2.4 act as the uplink line.

    • @TechTricksZone
      @TechTricksZone  Před 4 lety

      You mean use 2.4 as Repeater to get internet from main router or 5G for WiFi ?

    • @kqha
      @kqha Před 4 lety

      @@TechTricksZone something like that yes, but instead the "repeating", routing seems to be correct terms, as the client connect to the dual band router will connect through 5 Ghz band in different network from main router.

    • @kqha
      @kqha Před 4 lety

      For example, say I have wifi router A (2.4 GHz) with SSID "WIFI A" on 192.168.0.0 network which provide internet connection through the WAN port. Then I have another wifi router B (Archer C20 dual band 2.4 and 5 GHz). On this router B, I will provide wifi connection to devices (laptop and cellphone) ONLY on 5 GHz band with SSID called "WIFI B" on 192.168.1.0 network (different network from WIFI A). I intend to use the 2.4 GHz as a "client" to connect to WIFI A thus provide routing from 192.168.1.0 network to connect to internet through 192.168.0.0 network.
