  • In this video, I showed you TP-Link Router Setup as Repeater which is actually quite easy.
At first Connect Router's Power Adaptor and turn on the power. Then Connect your PC or Laptop to your Repeater router's any Lan Port by ethernet cable.
Go to your browser and type router default IP address 192.168.0.1 Or you can check you default it from 'cmd' - ipconfig
Now I Log In the router admin page. Router's default login id and password is 'admin'.
Go to Network, LAN and change the LAN IP to a different IP address to avoid IP conflict. Then save and your router will reboot.
Now, Type your Repeater Router's wifi name as you desired, You can change the Repeater routers WiFi password any time from Wireless Security Settings.
Now you have to enable the WDS after that you will find SSID(to be bridged), here click on scan button. Now you will find available wifi network, you have to connect now your ap router or root routers network and remember the channel.
Select the right channel that you remember, then Enter AP router/ Root router's Wi-Fi Password and save.
Now, you have to Disable 'DHCP Server' option.
Now you notice that the Internet has successfully connected.

This was the only video that helped me set up WDS bridging with ArcherC50. All other videos did not display in depth which router (root or extending router) I needed to connect to and how to deal with conflicting IPs. Why would other videos NOT clearly show how to connect to the extending router? It was all very frustrating until I got to this video. Thanks!

On the change channel page of the repeater router, you just changed to Channel 10 without any explanation. My understanding that to work as a repeater, it should be in the same channel as that of the main router, right? Does that mean your main router has been set to Channel 10 as well. If not, this may not work. Please elaborate and correct as necessary so that people will not be misled.

Depending on the router you’re using as a repeater, it should still be possible with some small changes (I don’t know precisely). Some routers (TP Link and otherwise) just don’t support WDS so that might also be a problem.
