We miss you very much John Deacon... you were an integral part of QUEEN extremely talented but so humble and low key....3 A levels in physics and a degree in engineering...incredible the level of academic excellence between Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor....and Deacon and Taylor managed the business side of things for Queen....little wonder they were and still are the most successful Rock Band in the History of music..bar none...💯% 👍❤❤❤❤
I wish I could play bass in the near future. Can't help bass is really hyping me. John Deacon is a master, his basslines are amazing and God he is amazing! He made me very interested and hyped about bass.
Olivia Ma - Bass is the anchor of any song and fills in the gaps. Without it the music is flat. John's playing was original, complex and complimented the songs perfectly and he wrote some of their best songs...."You're my best friend", "Another one bites the dust", "Spread your wings", "I want to break free", "You and I", "Friends will be friends", "One year of love" and the bass line that became "Under Pressure".
I stopped at 3:15, having recognized Freddie singing (with the bass playing instead of words at points) "Dont Try Suicide". It was the B Side of "Another One Bites The Dust", a 45 that was a Christmas present and my first Queen record. Rough subject, I know, but there's a lot of that going on in The States (United - well, we once were) and i thought it would be good to bring attention to that song. Attn to Freddie's song & intent along with a song by John Deacon "Spread Your Wings & Fly Away" (wherever the "" belong). It would give attn: to a beloved John Deacon song and the two together would be possibly medicinal to people. This would be a good time for that, especially in America now and our Pres.-dissed Puerto Rico. I would imagine it would be liked by many around the world as Queen songs are.
Possibly the most overlooked bass player in R&R considering the magnitude of his band... There are only a handful of mega-bands that have been as successful as Queen. Deacon's playing compares well to all the rest, period.
Deacky is the cool boy of Queen & their best known secret😊 John is a hottie in the coolest form 😀aha😁ha😄ha! Underneath a sweet silent character is a dangerously irrisistible boy next door charmer oozing with talent.
THIS IS VERY COOL. THANK YOU. I WANT IN ON EVERY JOHN DEACON CELEBRATION..ANYBODY HAVE MORE DETAILS ON HOW THEY FOUND DEACON? WE JUST HEAR THAT THEY KIND OF GRABBED HIM AT THE LAST MINUTE. BUT THERE'S MORE TO THE STORY AND I WANT TO HEAR IT! SO HELP ME OUT SOMEBODY.
Apparently John saw Queen perform in 1970 and wasn't all that impressed initially. Several months later he was introduced to Brian and Roger at a party by a mutual friend, who told them that John was really good on the bass. John then auditioned and was accepted by the band, and started playing with them from 1971 on. He was definitely not Queen's first bassist, but he was the first one they wanted to keep.

1:19 and 1:37 especially. He plays so clean and smooth. He doesn’t need lots of effects.

Thanks or playing the bass tracks separate from most of the other music. It really helps when your trying to learn these bass lines.

John Deacon has that John Entwistle style of bass playing it loud and thunderous even though Entwistle's is more low and deep but I still love it

He was also an electrical engineer and could build and fix amps. The Deacy Amp is what gave Brian that screaming tone!
