- Rocket Raccoon is a genetically and cybernetically enhanced raccoon turned freelance mercenary turned member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. He is considered to have one of the best tactical minds in the galaxy. He hails from Halfworld in the Keystone Quadrant where scientists were able to turn animals into sentient beings. Alongside his friend and partner Groot, he travels the galaxy picking up bounties.

Rocket Raccoon first appeared in comics in 1976. It's a crime it took until 2012 to actually make a tv appearance.
I mean, the guardians were quite fringe until 2014
I just realized when he said everybody’s got dead people he was referring to his backstory since he was still traumatized by it.
MCU Rocket's voice is by far the best in my opinion, feels weird to hear the other voices of Rocket's and they all sound somewhat similar but others are more deeper and squeakier

Hot take, I really don’t like any of the cartoon versions of Rocket, just turned him into a joke, the films did a much better job of making him a solid, mostly serious, character with lots of depth.

Since Rocket was based on the Beatles song Rocky Raccoon I can see the logic. This is referenced by High Evolutionary being British and attempting to correct his English in Vol 3. You can take his scrappy mobster accent as being a rebellion against it
