According to Briggs
The reason Florida, California, Texas and Nevada are on the list is because so many people from the other six states on the list have moved there!
Yep.
There's alot of a holes in florida. I run a business here and I can definitely vouch for that. Alot of it has to do with how much diversity is here. Road rage is worse here then any other state.
The ones coming from CA, NYC any excessively liberal state/city bringing the attitudes are the main reasons for this. They come trying to change it to where they came from and then wonder why they are ostracised. They preach tolerance and diversity yet are the most intolerant of all.
I think you may be misinformed. Nobody is moving TO California
Good point
As a New Yorker, I'm here to feel the hate.
We love the attention, they can line up to "suck it" 💪😎
😂😂😂
A real New Yorker. Is Lombardi's really the best pizza in the city?
New Yorker by birth, New Jerseyan by where my mail gets delivered to. Im also here for the hate and still wont give a bleep. How you doing?
I respect your effort. Now FO. j/k 😂
I grew up in Massachusetts in and near Boston. And I agree. When I lived in Maine for 15 years and encountered Mass drivers, they were always Massholes.
I still live in Maine, trust me, they're still Massholes.
I lived in MA for a year and a half and found it very closed to outsiders. If you didn't go to school there, worship their sports teams or speak the language, you were invisible. Just my experience.
I’m a travel nurse and I encountered some of the rudest people I’ve ever met in my life in Boston. Wouldn’t go back even to visit.
Agreed on Fl...it has really changed. Do a list for kindest, most polite states please!
Florida changed for the better thanks to their Governor RON DESANTIS
Speak for yourself !! I think the people are much more polite and easier to talk to !! And Gov DeSantis just put Pastors back in school so how is that a bad thing ?? I love Florida I just can’t afford it by myself.
There aren't any.
Agree, lived in Florida from 1962 to 2020, no longer recognizable.
Well the rude people there are the ones that come from the northeast.
I was a cable guy in East Cleveland even the dogs were a-holes.
😂
Both Cleveland and Toledo are loaded with A holes.
Too funny ,,I remember Rorer 714's
I plan to visit Kirkland and Canton, where there aren't very many.
😆😂🤣😆😂🤣
If you are stopped at a red light in Boston and don't move the exact second it turns green you will soon find out why the state ranked number 2.
💯
New York minute? Massachusetts nanosecond.
Facts
Well, ... yeah. Green means go ... now.
We have a gesture for people who sit at green lights in Ohio.
“I’m sure there are some freaks that have two….” Briggs, I spit hot coffee through my nose. 😂🤣
Briggs, Unique and interesting topic. Nicely and concisely done. Keep them brief and current.
As a born and bred, retired NYPD New Yorker, I think it should’ve been #1. Hence, the relocation to North Carolina.
Spent my first 51 years in that God awful craphole 🤣
An old time NYC policeman. I hear you guys are so tough you wear your clothes out from the inside. I wish you a happy retirement. You've earned it!
I agree. I voted New York. Was so angry when it came up as #3
@@LuckyBaldwin777 much appreciated 🙏. I’ll let you know when i truly retire, 😂. Gotta make the money now, cuz i have a few years until I hit SS age, and I’m not banking on it even being there.
North Carolina is the only state I got a speeding ticket for a car parked for three days at a friend's house. They have A- hole cops. Had to spend an extra week there to take it to court to prove the car was parked.
In my experience, the level of a-holes directly correlates with population density. On the other hand, the lower the density, the more curious and inquisitive the people are.
curious is code for nosey. And what you don't tell them, they make up.
Yea in these overpopulated states, you’re basically living on top of each other making people irritable and less patient. NJ has a ton of problems too. Horrendous drivers, high taxes, standoffish people, winters get cold (yes not like illinois or upstate ny) but there are so many red flags in the north
"Curious and inquisitive"??? Are you kidding??? Try 'paranoid, xenophobic and bigoted'. This list is ridiculous., obviously concocted by rube lovers who believe people are nicer to each other where basically no on lives. The exact opposite is true.
@@NancyK-cu6xj gossip and making crap up is universally human, regardless of population.
True
I used to work for AT&T in Phoenix and they used to transfer the calls to us from NY, NJ, and Mass. I wanted to scream and pull my hair out!
Haha I can't eveb understand some of the New England accents they're so odd. And yeah they can be rude.
Briggs, thanks for doing this video! It was fun!
Glad you enjoyed it!
What fun about it..just making people more hateful, about even more stuff. Much of it would be same as rational for racist mindset.
Ohioan here..... and I don't disagree with our ranking. I remember traveling south...through Kentucky, Tennessee, and North Carolina.... and being amazed at how nice everyone was being.
^ SAME. "Different culture" in the south means "not pushy jerks."
Never in a hurry and blowing the horn or just being assholes for no reason. When I first took my wife down home SE Ky, we’d be driving around and people sitting on a porch would wave and she kept saying who’s that ? I said Babe that’s just how people are down here, give ya the shirt off their back and the last dollar they had. Not saying they are all perfect but there is no place like that. We live in Columbus and yes, it sucks.
Coming from Western New York (Buffalo,Rochester, and Batavia (area). Ohio is So much better and Yes, even Dayton. Went to Columbus for school and Love Columbus!! Graduated from High School in Cleveland at the old West Tech (now an apartment building). Despite the violence of Cleveland, I actually like Ohio and think they get a bad rap. Again this is coming from a former NY State person.
In NC though most locals are losing patience with transplants, our hospitality is weening a bit but we’re genuinely being run out of town, especially on the coast.
Ohio....worst drivers ever

Ok Briggs. I watch ALL your vids. and this one is my very FAV .. LMAO.. thank you for this!!!

Massachusetts is close to being California East. Many woke Democrats and weak amount of Republicans. Majority register as independent but they are secret Democrats.
Oh snap! That title popped up and I had to stop what I was doing to watch.
Me too!
Me too. This one's been a long time coming.
I love these viewer opinion top lists!
NY, NJ, MA, CT, RI, PA and the four states the most of those states' residents have moved to.
OK, your Michigan segment in the very beginning showed a picture of the Chicago skyline.
Also, Michigan the fake-nice state.
@@jbw3118 We are a very friendly people. Get bent!
The aholes in Michigan are so bad they stole Chicago
@@jbw3118Isn't "fake nice" the brand of the South (outside Appalachia)?
@@jbw3118 I'm not sure if you're from Michigan. But as someone born and raised in Michigan, and looking to move, I can tell you that's not true. Most people are low-energy and act like they don't care about anything. It's basically a state full of zombies who are barely functioning. I can't speak for the Yoopers though, they're a tougher breed.
As a native New Yorker/New York City resident yeah I can see saying everyone saying New York, Jersey or Massachusetts. Gotta say use New Yorker and Jersey folk are just direct, so we clearly let you know where you stand with us
I actually prefer it to someone who's artificially sweet and two faced behind your back. Direct is best. I like to know where I stand 💯👍
Exactly! I lived in New Jersey all my life and most people that I came to contact with were very nice. I fully admit people in New Jersey are very direct unlike the phonies out of hear in California were unfortunately I'm living now. They want an A hole state to be named, name California specifically San Francisco. The most pretentious conceded Liberal left wing lunatics, who to be called rude would be a compliment to them.
Interesting how three of our neighbors made the list (Ohio, New York, and New Jersey), but Pennsylvania didn't.
We're bigger A-holes in Ohio because we have to put up with Pennsylvania and Michigan drivers pretending they know how to drive.
Someone who lives in GBurg, all my neighbors are wonderful people, the service is great and for the most part get along with my co-workers. Grew up in Boston and mom's family is from Brooklyn and can honestly tell you all those people suck!
@@markoakes8620 Got a good laugh from this! But one question, what's GBurg? Sounds like Gettysburg to me, but there are other candidates.
@@SansevieriaMedia We generally drive just a little bit above the speed limit, which is irritating to all the Evel Knievel kamikaze wannabes from Dayton.
@@davidfinch7407 then keep right and let those mofos around. Dayton might as well be Indiana...they think they're qualifying for the Indy 500!
I would say New Jersey too, but on the other hand, I have had some of the most warmest memories of stopping at diners on road trips in New Jersey with some very friendly locals.
Many years ago, I went to Atlantic City, and an elderly couple was waiting for a car to pull out of a parking spot. Well, some big shot didn't want to look for a spot of his own and pulled right in after the other car left. The elderly couple yelled at him. He kicked a good-sized dent in their driver's door, gave them a two fisted salute, and went inside.
Let me guess.... New Jersey.
That's what I'm saying!
OMG I was right LMAO!
Pls don't judge NJ from people down the shore in the summer. Too many of those are from NY.
NJ rules
@@deborah2768 nice try SKANK! The difference between New Yorkers and people from New Jersey is we are Aholes with a sense of humor, your people are just Aholes!
I take umbrage with MI, I travel to there several times a year. I generally find the people friendly, much friendlier than Illinois or California. I’m a southerner so I know friendliness.
I have lived in MI almost my entire life. I also have traveled extensively throughout the US. MI is great. They are not in your face or business, but polite, and certainly helpful.
Best video title and subject ever.
I was in New Jersey just over a year ago. Wow. The truth is I liked the few people I met. But yes. We even ate at a place called "Shut up and eat". The owner even said crap that most people would find offensive. God I loved it.
that place is so good😭🫶
@@Redrumandketchup it is. I love the food. If I ever make it back I will eat there again.
Us New Jerseyans are actually nice. We're honest, but it's coming from a good place. No bad intentions. I'm glad you enjoyed your time in Jersey.👍🏾
@@javierclyburn5688 I hate NJ and its people.
@@javierclyburn5688 that's the way I took it, no bad intentions. I was even given some free gear from Grumpys bait and tackle. Here in Utah the A-holes have bad intentions.
Happiness was seeing "Welcome to Texas" in my rearview mirror. 😂 Conversely, here in Bellingham, WA, was walking on a minor thoroughfare when I tripped & fell. Immediately two cars stopped, people jumped out asking if 911 should be called. One car was a Just Married couple! Fortunately, only my ego was bruised. 😁
I felt the same about California, Oregon, and the west coast. Lots of natural beauty, people stink.
Totally agree-and you have to try not to let the awfully rude people ruin the nature😂
@@kitsuneneko2567 Hey! I have lived on the Kitsap Peninsula for close to 45years. I'm originally from H'bg,PA. When I go back to visit, the people get meaner and ruder as I go East. I think it's because folks roots go deep and they hate outsiders.
I miss Bellingham. Lived there all through the 90s. Almost all good people.
Good.
Now Massachusetts will try harder! 😱 😊 Thanks a lot!
😂
"Is your front seat made out of cactus?" 15:15...that was classic! I'm thinking that this is an example of how the cities are running the states as more and more folks pile into the metro areas. Anytime you crowd a bunch of folks into a small space, you will get...A-holes. In the rural areas, where I live, (TX) folks will still give you the shirt off their back to help you, no matter who you are or where you're from. Good vid!
When discussing Michigan, at 2:10 you have a clip of Michigan - Avenue that is in Chicago.
Frigging awesome topic. Just started watching but Massachusetts all the way - and I grew up there. Can't wait to see...
I grew up there, and all my family lives there. Assholery is an art form in my family. Me and my younger cousin used to slap each other in the face and call each other "fucking assholes". It wasn't until I got older and moved to NH that I realized that wasn't normal lol.
This is got to be my favorite one of your video
We went to New Jersey to visit my cousin. Good Lord!!! I've never seen anything like it! It's like an Olympic sport for them!
Texan here. We can be rude if you’re driving the speed limit. But I think it depends on the city. We’ve gotten A LOT of transplants and they bring their culture. But if you talk to a true Texan they’re pretty friendly.
I go to say friendly I come from Chicago but I don’t find ur Texans to be friendly. I find u guyz to be be hermits. I will be moving back to Chicago. My people are MidWest. The South is not for me. 😂😂😂
When we were moving from Wisconsin to Arizona the Texans were VERY nasty because we were 'Yankees'. When the licence plates changed to Arizona, they weren't so assholish... unless we told them we were from Wisconsin. Why the hate? We did nothing to them.
Last time I was in Texas I had a guy I'd never met loan me his 4-wheeler to go look for my cat. She got out of my RV. The RV was being fixed and she was in a field alone and very scared ( I found her ) that guy was as good a person as there is on this planet.
Nah - We just got neighbors fresh from Texas ... sorry but very rude
My problem with Texans is how they think they are the center of the universe. This "whole other country" crap is tiring to the rest of us.
I can not confirm that. Living 4 years now in Columbus, Ohio. People are very welcoming, friendly and genuinely nice. Great parks, no trash, no graffiti, no shopping carts, no homeless all over the place.
As I said before: Weather here absolutely, positively, definitely sucks ass, and pot holes can be brutal. I feel so sorry for my new sports car (crazy street salting going on here) and I barely get to ride my bicycle. But pretty much everything else I actually do like. Of course when you come from California you are spoiled rotten, but LA,CA has a whole different level of problems that I didn't want to deal with any longer after 20 years.
Back 70s early 80s CA was a vacation destination. Now, even those that grew up there, like my husband, Venice Beach, left, late 80s and never looked back. Beautiful state ruined by @$$💋 politicians for endorsements and votes.
Only outsiders think that if the Midwest no one from the Midwest actually thinks we r mean. Cuz we aren’t
Cleveland was an armpit , but it reminded me of home , Chicago 😊. I thought Toleto was very pretty , seemed clean people were nice . Columbus was nice too

GREETINGS FROM THE PPRC GREAT VIDEO.
Hi, CT here. AKA the CA of the East Coast, surrounded by your top 3. And while we're here, RI is no Disney movie either.
Some people say all of New England is rude (except maybe Vermont).
I grew up in a small town that was on the main route to Florida, from the North. We used to say that Michigan must be full of nice people, because all the a-holes were headed to Florida.
Guessed all but one... I am surprised Georgia did not make the list. Atlanta sure fits the bill for a-holes...
Having driven in NJ, Atlanta, and Boston... Atlanta is wayyyyyy more civil than those other two. Atlanta is way better than southern Florida where they will attempt to murder you for half a second and if you drive with any civility it takes then about 30 seconds to figure it out. Boston is the worst. If you end up in the wrong lane you are just screwed.
Atlanta native and can confirm.
I moved to Ga. from NY. It is no better, except for having no snow. People either drive too slow or way too fast. Don’t use signals. A lot of entitled me first mentality. Southern hospitality is a lie. And everyone is overweight!
Oh and the obnoxiously loud vehicles!!!! Utterly absurd! There was less traffic noise in NY!
Yes!
I'm an older guy who left Southern California in 1993. I moved to a now popular "destination city" about 45 minutes north of Atlanta. California had a lot of people from other states and Georgia is that way now as well. In the LA area, I found a lot of women to be toxic and commonly radiated the damaged goods vibe. By contrast here in Georgia the women are generally friendly and wonderful. I like New Yorkers mainly because they're not bashful about speaking their mind. In Georgia, politeness is often used as a strategic weapon. Several years ago my wife and I were searching for land in the North Georgia mountains. Everything we looked at had some form of scam attached to it. I have stories that would take days to tell. The takeaway is, try not to evaluate people only by their disposition. The people you need to watch out for are the ones who have mastered the kind and friendly as they are totally trying to put the screws to you in a business deal of one type or another.
Loved the "Damaged goods" comment. So true. Divorcees infect one another in California. Very common.
I’m from Massachusetts and I agree. I’ve been all over this country, and no matter which State I’m in, EVERYBODY seems nice.
I’m up to Florida. Briggs said lots of NY and NJ people are there. I live in Bergen County, NJ and have neighbors that split there time between here and Florida, their cars have Florida plates 😆
I do that, lol. But car insurance is more expensive in Florida now.
I learned that Carson City was the capitol of Nevada from a Bugs Bunny episode when it used to air on Saturday Morning cartoons
Can you do a video on slow living states or cities or towns? A place where there's never traffic, people are so nice, and you can read books on the porch all day, please?

No, it's not just the drivers.
Surprised CT or AZ didn’t make the list. AZ is full of transplants from CA, MI, OH, TX etc.
CT, especially the SW part, is extremely status conscious.
Also, the extreme heat in AZ makes people cranky.
I used to think AZ but then I moved to Atlanta. Winner, winner chicken dinner. 😊
I grew up in central Ct but moved away 45 years ago. I was back visiting and went to the barber shop. I was in sitting in the waiting area and just said Hi to people sitting there doing nothing. They totally ignored me. I live in Alaska and people talk to each other.

That is true about Michigan. I tried to befriend some neighbors from there who moved to Florida. They were very cold, very unfriendlt, seemed very stuck up.
You'd be pissed too if you had to live that close to Indiana. Indiana has a huge number of hate groups yet the population sees nothing wrong with it. That's also why Illinois and Ohio are on the list. Indiana is the cause of the infection of a-holes
I'm from New Jersey, have traveled a lot both in and out of our country and I find niceness all over, perhaps because it's what I project. If you meet a lot of A-holes .......... maybe you are one!

Glad you think so!
In 1987, I bicycled from NH to western Ohio and I got treated better in PA. NY was a mixed bag, some people really nice and spit on from a pick-up truck. Ohio was pretty cold and unfriendly.
This is the list I didn’t know I needed. 😂

Trouble is they ran most of us natives off years ago.

You hit a bulls eye on "they cannot stay out of your business" in Michigan. I've lived on the southeastern and the southwestern side. The southwestern side is horrible when it comes to being in everyone's business. I think the more rural you are, the worse it gets.
Never found it that way
I've lived in the UP and detroit metro and both have the nicest people I ever met. I did have neighbors spread a rumor about me in the UP but had similar happen in other small towns.
I live in SW MI. No one is in your business matter of fact, people stay out of your business. Perhaps that "in your business" is someone trying to be friendly. And you are basing this on how many encounters? My son lives in SE MI. I see absolutely no difference in people.
I moved from Wisconsin to Massachusetts 15 years ago. Talk about culture shock, and not in a good way. At least I got out of Boston, and that was an improvement.
Minnesota is cold, but a great place to grow up!
My ex boss was from New Jersey… Never see someone like that in work environment.
I used to work in customer service for a national company, we got a**holes from everywhere on occasion, but customers in Ohio were the most frequently rude, angry, impossible to make them happy or satisfied.
When I first started the job I was surprised by it, I would've expected New Jersey or New York, but Ohio had the highest frequency of difficult and pissy customers.
I’ll put it this way people from Ohio act nice but don’t mean it and people from New Jersey act mean but they don’t mean it. Took me a bit of time to realize it’s just the communication style; people are on tight schedules, and there’s a large population to contend with so direct and effective communication becomes the culture. I never did get used to the outsized egos and big shouty personalities though. Then I moved out to the Midwest and I got a taste of real hard-core passive aggression and I find that much harder to deal with them People who are just always loud and cranky no matter what, because at least you can tell how they really feel.
I worked in a call center for years, but we didn't get many calls from Ohio, We got a lot from Maryland, NY, and TX. I'm surprised TX wasn't higher on the list, and that MD didn't even make it. They were all pretty awful, but when I saw an area code from MD, It took every ounce of willpower I had to not immediately hang up!
@@brianmead7556 , I think that’s a perfect way to describe it. I’ve been to nearly every state and I’ve also spent some time in New Jersey and Massachusetts. Both of those states that are perceived rude and mean to lots of people and a few locals are probably just places where people were raised to be direct and upfront. In Utah where I live, a lot of people are raised to be friendly and kind to people even if they disagree with them and the LDS religion there has quite a bit to do with that.
@@JonasMatthewBahtaBest neighbors I ever had, members of LDS. Went to Utah 1x (Ogden) to visit spouse's relatives & would've stayed if I could😊
I live in a nice part of PA, away from even the nearest towns. People in rural areas are best because we have to rely on each other. I can't tell you all the times neighbors bailed us out of car trouble, or other situations and they don't want a thing for it. Just pay it forward and do someone else a solid. ❤ It's safe, beautiful countryside and also ranked the 14th freest state. Not bad overall but I don't like the cold winters. 😅
Florida, I reside here and already thinking moving back to VA
I’m a Michigander and I noticed the mitten is ruder than the U.P. The Youpers are actually really nice
Agreed!
I left NJ over 26 years ago and people weren’t that bad then. But I guess you could say that for the whole country.
I hate NJ and its people.
I find it funny how New Jersey is #1. One of the many reasons why I moved out in New Jersey was because of how nasty and rude the people were. Then if you say anything back they look at you as you're the problem.
A very good example one time I went to a post office in a slow part of town and I was the only one in there. So I went up to the front desk with my box and the woman decided not to look at me because she was reading a book and I said "hi I would just like to mail out this package". So she said to me "don't you see that I'm busy at the moment". So because she wanted to get nasty with me I got nasty back with her and I said "is your job here to read a book or to ship out this package I have?". Then she decided to put down the book and do her job and I was all finished and I said hey next time if a customer comes in here why don't you try to be a little bit nicer.
There is many bad things about New Jersey and a shocks made that people would say otherwise
I'll bet that box got kicked down the hall to the mail truck.
I'd love to see a video on highways and interstates, states best and worst.
I'm kind of bummed to see Nevada on the list...I think I'm moving to the reno/tahoe area in the next couple of months. It was nice to hear Briggs defend it a little bit...When I went to check out the area and apartments everyone was really friendly!
Having lived in Las Vegas, it's like 2 different cities. The aholes were typically tourists who came from NY or LA & were on the strip; the locals were nice folks who lived 2+ blocks off the strip & farther out.
I've been living in Las Vegas for the past 17 years, and one of the biggest issues with Las Vegas (Reno doesn't compare to Vegas in the "asshole" aspect) is the mentality of the city (people are obnoxious, immature, pretentious, edgy), the lack of education, healthcare and the fact that Vegas produces a LOT of vices (driving while smoking weed is NOT legal and is considered a DUI). All of these plus many other aspects equate to a state full of self-centered, assholes. Also, Vegas is home to MMA/UFC...I think you can figure out where I'm going with that.
I thought people in Lincoln County were nice.
I grew up in North Jersey and then moved to Mass. I find it so funny when ppl think Mass ppl are rude and I am like it’s nothing like NJ.
I have toured all over the USA, managing arena tours. In my opion PA. It was a nightmare in Hershey, Philly, Erie & Scranton. The reason it was so horrible. The people. Pure plain and simple.
I was in a very crowded San Francisco subway station when I suddenly felt very lightheaded, so I sat down on the ground, and put my head between my legs in order to avoid fainting. Everyone walked around me, as if this is normal behavior, which it kind of is. My head cleared, so I stood up and went about my business.
As someone who moved to OH from a southern state I'll add two things to cement OH as a state with a large number of ah.
1) One thing I have never adjusted to is how pushy people are. Even the friendly ones. No chill in Ohio culture.
2) I remeber an OH business/restaurant closing their doors because of how rude their patrons were being to their staff after the pandemic.
^ Matches my on the ground experience.
I think that sitting at a bar can give you a good gauge of how the locals are. Last summer I took a trip where I went to two totally different places, Northwest Arkansas and then to Staten Island, New York. Sitting at a bar in Arkansas, the people were not unfriendly but no one really talked to me. Everyone seemed to be there with their group of friends or family. In New York, sitting at a bar I had people talk to me and joke around with me. Their talking style was maybe a little loud and aggressive, but I definitely had more people come up and talk to me in NY
author of THE DEATH TAX sez: Must say I enjoyed the sarcasm in Jersey (as well as the maternal nature of diner waitresses, "honey" and "luv" being standard forms of address) and the helpfulness/surprising down-to-earthness of New York City, where people--seeing me with a map--would stop to offer me assistance (also like how they take so-called celebrities in stride). Likewise, found Southern Californians surprisingly friendly, much like Canadians.
Born and raised in Michigan. I’m surprised they didn’t make it to the top 5. So glad I moved. Don’t miss that place at all.
Go Buckeyes this year I hope 😂
🤭... Wow, this has got to be one of the best.
I was raised in New Jersey and it took me leaving the state to realize this. We are a feisty bunch.
About 40 years ago my parents were living in Florida and I was visiting around Christmas. A real estate ad came on TV and dad said watch this till the end. After showing and talking about real estate. The last 3 minutes was a screen size poster stating." Residents of Michigan and New Jersey NEED Not Apply ". Discrimination or not I swear it played several times for the week I was there.
Massholes Massachusetts
I can’t blame ppl for being miserable when they pay damn near 5k just for an apartment in many places smh I guess the joke’s on them.
Of course. I’ll disappointed if if we aren’t on the list.

Well, you can always add Weather. Especially during the winter when the sun goes down at like 4:30 in the afternoon.
@@1massboy, I’ve lived in MA and NJ and I’ll always take living in MA over Jersey for many reasons.
Oh no. Don’t misunderstand me. I had to live in New Jersey for seven years. And yeah, I really did hated it there….a lot. I wouldn’t even consider living there again…ever.
But that’s not to say that Massachusetts doesn’t have a fair share of jerks. In fact, some people take it as a point of pride.
I agree with this list. I'm in Ohio, and I think it is due to so many exhausted people from working to death. Great job, Briggs.
^ Agree. Here in OH there is a feeling of desperation and considering everyone else the problem. The problem with that attitude is it's contagious and self fulfilling.
@Ootgreet1 I disagree. I don't consider everyone else the problem. I will put my hands together, get on my knees, and let God take that problem from me every night. At least until I find my peace after this life. Good luck, friend. May good save your soul, too. :-)
I've been traveling around the country for work for 20 years. I don't just go to major cities and tourist attractions, I see all different kinds of people around every state. Here would be my top five: 5 - TX, 4 - FL, 3 - PA, 2 - IL, 1 - MASS-holes (based on expectations, attitudes, demands & patience)
I’ve lived a lot of places but I miss NJ so much! Anyone who didn’t make the list don’t feel bad , I’m sure your state has it’s own special kind of a-holes.
I used to work in a call center that supported customers in the USA. New Jersey was by far the worst with being A-holes! Them being number one is very accurate!
Been to 42 states, but I spent time in New Jersey in 2015 and I definitely agree with you on that. Im sure the friendliest were Nebraska and Kentucky.
I was born and raised in NJ. I left decades ago when I joined the military and won't ever go back. Not surprised where they are on this list. Strange but true fact: Some of the nicest people you meet from NJ are those that have LEFT NJ and won't go back. The NJ Transplants in Florida are probably an exception to that statement. NJ is densely packed and the people are taxed to death on pretty much everything. It's no wonder they are angry all the time. Anyone contemplating retirement in NJ needs some good couch time with an experienced therapist or psychiatrist.
Agree, I left in 1978.
I’ve lived in NY, NJ and MA. I agree with their rankings.
Florida depends heavily on where you are in the state. Miami, for instance, seems to attract more a-holes than the toilets at a gas station sushi bar.
Miami is a snobbish area where people are always mad for no reason but I met a few nice folks.
worst is boca west palm and broward, filled with new yorkers there. North of orlando is south 😂
Compared to being shot or stabbed, none of this sounds unbearable. When you are in a country where the locals delight in insulting you in a language they know you don't understand, that's when my Irish temper tends to kick in. The best cities, at least IMO, are those where the majority of people simply ignore you and mind their own business.
