huh... didn't even know hole placement was causing this on my prints. fantastic info!
This was fantastic! I've been working with resin for a few months and your videos are helping me a ton with figuring out why my prints look like crap 😂
Great video. Addresses and explains the issue right away and clearly explains the problems and solutions. The best part: It's not 15 minutes long with only 3 minutes of useful footage!
Huahahahahahha i need to try the 15 minutes long with only 3 minutes useful footage
I have this issue with solid pieces.
Your videos are MOST informative! I enjoy listening to your videos very much! Great work!
Informative and to the point. As always. Keep up the good work.
Thank you
Dennys you're always coming out with great content. Thank you sir.
thank you
This was amazing! I have been printing for 2 years and I thought more holes= success! But it is all about the inital layers!
Really what my thumbnail image capture right.
Really nice! I think I was lucky always placing drainholes in all areas which can not be seen and especially at the bottom. Even when there is hair on top of the figure, I place a very small drainhole as well to be sure nothing will happen in the end. Thanks again!
Welcome
The universe provides!, this is exactly one of my issues right now. Many Thanks
Let me know if it fix your issue
@@wangdennys Will do
Your videos are some of the best, they just keep getting better, too, thanks again!
Thank you
This was super helpful thanks!
Great info. Thank you.
Dennys, I swear, if I ever met you in person I would freaking hug you bro! 😎 Thank you
Sorry, only girl allow to hug me.
LOL

Welcome
Thanks Dennys, much appreciated :)
That's what call High quality content 👍👍
Sankyu
Legend. Thank you for this iformation.
Welcome
Thank you very much for this video. After years of printing with the Sonic Mini 4k, designing my own models, cutting them and printing them, I think the most difficult model I have faced that I never get is a SQUIRTLE. I don't know how to place it anymore and where to drill, it's a nightmare XD.
Thank you for the good video. I'm using Mighty 8K. Can you share the anti-aliasing option that you are using in Chitubox?
My drain hole is fine, except for after tacos.
LOL... Weakling 🤣🤣🤣
Im new to resin printing and the main thing for me is remembering that everything is upside-down. Drain holes are actually vent holes until post processing.
My problem is that once I make the drain holes and then I'm going to put the supports, chitubox fills all that space with supports and the drain hole almost ceases to exist and a strong suction begins
A perfect explanation of how they work!
That is why never fully rely on auto support.
Some final editing is needed
@@wangdennys will try it, thanks for the answer!🤩
i always have to stare at it for 5 mins before i can remember which direction holes should be because its upside-down in chitu
Glory hole
@@wangdennys hallelujah
you can try lychee slicer suction cup feature, it can display issues visually
Op uses lychee, but somehow he miss the notification.
so let's say you have good draining holes as you explain and you still get those lines, then it is a lifting speed problem?
whats the least diameter can i do ? can i do 0.2 mm for the hole?
Hi! Thnx for the helpfull info! Like always! I have a questions about your support. Why u didnt add them to the chin area? how to know that its should not be there?
The angle
So the chin is not an island.
@@wangdennysoh I got it, it’s less than 45 degrees
Thnx
What is the best wall thickness? I've added drain holes and looking at this video they seem correct. But still at some point the model has issues pilling from the film, I thought this might be due to too thick walls. I've put very strong supports at the bottom (in my opinion) so they should hold the model. I don't think that increasing the height of the retraction will help, or could it help?
My wall thickness usually aroung 1.2mm-2mm
Shouldn't they be called something like suction alleviation holes rather than drain holes?
Touche!
Because at the end it is also to drain the resin trapped inside and flushing.
So somehow it is more popular to be call drain hole.
@@wangdennys But the main issue in the video is lines from suction. Anyway, keep up the great work.
@@brib9716 yes it is, because of the wrong hole placement.
so where did you place the top drain hole? in the hair?
Nope
No top drain hole
I always avoid placing drain hole on details.
