  • So it all started off so innocent as a nice how-to on your wheel speed sensor on your mk5 golf gti. This quickly spiralled out of control with the domino effect in full force. More and more parts needed replacing and also me buying stuff I didn't need to!
This is my story on how £13 turned into over £300...
P.S : Sorry about the drawings...

Thank God I live in California, zero rust on my wheel bearings even after 17 years.

I know this is a bit late and many months ago but if you're wheel bearings are in good condition you can just change the ring that corrodes. Just done my Edition 30 in this way. They're about £7 and simple to fix, plus a new sensor, I used OEM Bosch on mine.
Anyway, liking the content, keep up the good work.

Hi mate I'm just about to tackle this job on my 2008 GTI but when buying the part there are 2 options, 30mm and 32mm inner diameter. What did you go for?

Thankyou for the feedback, can’t go wrong for the money! I think the ones that are on it already may be the same.
