      it's an anime where this one girl named Kaori was going to die when she was 16 or 17 and she played piano but one day she went to see a piano concert and she was so amazed about how beautiful he played and decided that she wanted to be a violinist to get closer to these kinds of musicians. She practiced incredibly hard for the violin and played masterfully when she was around 16-17. I said they were similar because I saw a comment in which they made a reference to this specific anime and when I saw this I thought about how similar the start of their violin journey was.

    As a former guitar player, I have never understood how anyone can play a fretless instrument. You have to memorize where to place your fingers on the "fret board" to hit the right note. With that in mind, to watch these best-in-class players simply fly over the board with their left hand, perfectly hitting the locations with blazing speed, staggers my old mind. The TwoSetViolin guys have made me appreciate the subtle nuances of playing this magnificent instrument. Thanks, gents!

Two years of watching violin videos has infected me with a need to try and learn this fantastic instrument. It's hard to believe that these two guys have changed my life so much. Tomorrow I will book my first lessons and I can't wait. I set up my violin and tuned it so I could give it a try. I am 59 years old and I'm as excited as a little kid. Gents, I feel your pain. Some people are preternaturally gifted, and while practice helps the rest of us, in their hands it becomes divine.
    But rather than lose hope, I think we should rejoice that such talent exists, and that we live in a world (despite its many problems) that allows such talented people to reach their full potential.

    Hey Brett and Eddie! You guys are absolutely incredible violinists! I was blown away when I started watching your channel and realized the journey violinists go through to perfect their skills. It's so humbling and inspiring at the same time.🎶
    I used to play the clarinet when I was younger. I started at 5 years old and kept playing through university. But unfortunately, life had other plans for me. My clarinet got stolen, and I couldn't afford to buy a new one. My family depended on me financially, so I had to prioritize our basic needs over getting another instrument.
    🎶
    Over time, my life took a different path. I became a government worker, a wife, and eventually a parent. But watching your videos brought back so many emotions that I had locked away. Seeing your determination and talent, it's really amazing. You guys still have so much time to make your dreams come true.
    🎶
    And your friendship alone is really precious to witness. It brings me so much joy. You have no reason to feel down about your abilities because you two are marvelous violinists. I love how you both play with your own unique style. Sure, all the little Ling Lings are talented too, but there's something special about you two. There's only one Brett and one Eddie, and I wouldn't trade you for an entire army of them.
    🎶
    You guys are the stars I want to see and listen to. I would even stand out in the rain to buy tickets for one of your concerts, and I'm 58 years old! I wouldn't do that for any of the Ling Lings you've featured on your channel. So always hold your heads up high and be proud of your accomplishments because we, your fans, are incredibly proud of you both!

    • @XoIoRouge
      @XoIoRouge Před 4 lety

      @@yn-xu8gl While I don't deny these bois are impressive; how can you prove those are their first attempt? They can say whatever they want in front of the camera.
      For example, I can say that I'm a professional piano player (untrue) and I'm going to blindly sight-read some classical pieces. I then create a list of like, 10 pieces that I have thoroughly practiced in my life (true). I know them by heart, practiced and performed them at venues, and don't need the sheet music play it.
      I then randomly pull a song, I make some reaction to the initial sheet music, "What in the world?! A bass clef?! Four Flats?!" and then I pretend to sight-read. Mess up / go slow the first time, but my second time is somehow *very* impressive!
      I'm NOT saying that's how Brett and Eddy are doing it -- that is NOT what I'm saying. I am saying that we simply DONT KNOW how they're doing it. There is no proof that they are telling the truth versus lying. Of course, these two are fantastic, that's why I watch them. They've practiced for a very long time and they keep practicing. I have no quarrels with them creating fake reactions because I love Eddy's laugh and smile while Brett is hilarious, whether the reactions are fake at all.

      To be fair, you don’t get to the top simply with talent. Practice beats talent, but talented practice is unstoppable. This girl had the talent and the passion for music to put in the work to get to where she is today. There’s definitely luck involved, but it wasn’t completely out of nowhere. She was practicing all day everyday since she started at age 3, enough to stunt the growth of her fingertip bones. Her mother and her tutor(Pinchas Zukerman) put daily limits of hourly practice because she was pushing herself so hard.
