💯 SAS rarely knows what he’s talking about, and it’s hilariously obvious every single time. I particularly love it when he bloviates about NFL games he clearly didn’t watch - aside for two minutes of highlights.
SA probably went on to embarass himself even more, ESPN had to cut this short. First off, ESPN shouldn't force a man/woman into an analyst role for a sport he/she isn't really a fan of. As a hard core loyalist of the sport, I'm mildly offended with all the dumb "They weren't fighting in the MMA, sorry the UFC", "Global kickboxing", "12inch glove" comments. SA comes across as lazy and unprofessional. Max Kel might be a better option for MMA content.

Something I think nobody has mentioned is that with Izzy changing stances so easily, I wonder if being in opposite stances Izzy can use hand fighting to take away Alex's jab, somewhat control what attacks his opponent can throw and maintain a specific distance be a factor. With smaller gloves it's a bit easier to apply that and Izzy does utilizes that a lot
True but is he as effective from both stances? I can see him using southpaw lead hand trapping to take away the Alex lead hand like mcgregor does frequently against orthodox fighters

I’m sure Alex can switch stances too. That is an elementary problem for a world class kickboxer to solve.
@@briandavies149 I think they both switch from what I recall, but Izzy is more efficient. Of course nothing they haven't seen before, but it's just something I don't think is mentioned anywhere, and if Alex switches I think it's slightly harder to setup his hook
@@gremlin2022 I agree and want Izzy to win. Only reason Alex is even getting a shot is because of their kickboxing history with each other. Izzy weathers a storm and does some decent counters for 3 rounds, then finishes Alex in the 4th.

Dc’s take on the smaller gloves being an advantage for pereira is interesting. Izzy landed more when they fought, Ref stepped in for standing 8 count… to me that says smaller gloves advantage Izzy. We know it pereira lands it’s goodnight… small or big gloves
Most people have only seen the highlight ko. They don’t know Alex got saved by the ref. Smaller gloves I think favors Izzy and Alex won’t get a standing 8 count to recover in the octagon. Izzy would’ve finished him off. He had Alex wobbling on skates and then the ref stepped in. Another little fact, that ref was a Brazilian ref even tho they fought in China and that ref is from the same hometown as Alex. Just food for thought.

Izzy is genuinely a really nice guy , I remember he was doing a meet and greet signing autographs and taking pictures after UFC 263 , just before I was about to get my picture taken with him , a baby started crying in the queue , Adesanya clocked this and Asked the Mother if he could help with the problem , He gently grabbed the baby sat down on his seat with the baby on his knee , he pulled up his shirt and breastfed the baby there and then , true hero , if that doesn’t speak to someone’s personality then I don’t know what will.

Alex had 7 fights in kickboxing while Izzy got 22 when they fought. And still Alex won even when Izzy is the more experienced fighter in both fights. Alex after that improved way more, while Izzy went to mma. Alex wins the stand up.
Fair enough, Izzy has handled some more intense fights but I think the mental game is going to play a major factor. Going to the ground might the be the way, for Izzy, but I'm sure Alex has prepped for that

Why are UFC segments always short... ESPN lacking hard
Understandable that lot of people still dont get what sports shows are all about.
ESPN gets paid by sports orgs to advertise their sport. And it aint cheap. The UFC ain't as rich as the NBA/NFL.
A 2min segment can cost for about 50-60k. Depending on the time length and anchors. If it is SAS ,it would probably be the highest rate. It could go up as high as 100k per segment.
DC is on point, Alex is a huge 185 but Israel is lengthy.
