- Winter Carp Fishing Tactics! TRIPLE ACTION ATTRACTION! Super Charge Your Carp Rigs! Mainline Baits
In this carp fishing 2020 video, 'Triple Action Attraction!' we show you that even though carp fishing tactics and hookbait presentations can often be very simple, it doesn't mean you can't incorporate a few things to 'super charge' the bait attraction of that approach. With a little thought, you can utilise the three main elements of fishing bait attraction to tick a few more boxes so to speak and to add an extra percentage or two in your favour to pull carp in, encourage them to feed, which will ultimately help you catch more fish! Brilliant for winter carp fishing or pulling fish to the hookbait quickly when fishing over a baited area - you cannot afford to miss this 'easy to follow', step-by-step carp fishing video!

I'm new to carp fishing (5 summer outings last year with 19 fish, biggest 15lb) and this is a massive help. Had been using method feeders with micro pellets and a waffter. However as the summer was trailing off (end August beginning September) the fish dried up quickly and I knew I had to do/ try other tactics, bait and presentation. This is great video. Many thanks for your advice.👍👌
Glad to help!
Brilliant, here in the US we don’t use nearly as many of these tactics to catch. All of our carp are wild so it’s a Wild West of approaches from just corn on a hook all the way to pop up Boilies over a 1-2k of bottom baits/corn/seed. But in a place like California where I can’t prebait in any form (no spods, spombs, bait throwing, or slingshotting) this is actually an amazing idea. Thank you for the tips, and hello from across the pond.
Hi Nico - glad we can help with a few tactics! Good luck buddy!
In places like IN were the temps get below freezing or even 0, this is by far the best tactic hands down, of course has to be moving water because most still water freezes here.
Absolutely love these videos the way you show how to tie rigs and explain everything is helping me learn so much keep up the great work
Thanks Richard - no worries 👍
My first 30b carp. I used this presentation to catch it. My BB. Will keep using and play with different bait options

How do you make quick changing pva bags to hook straight on please
How well does the smart liquid do in really cold water. But do love your videos 😊
So i use similar tactic on my river during winter month. I use Japanese panko/crushed boilie/ and few grains corn that is dried and covered with pink himilayan sea salt. I use my flvr and coat the panko and boilie crumb, then add few grains corn wedge between some bait in small pva stick. Usually 12mm popup boilie for hookbait that is been soaking in booster for some time.
I don't see the need for 2 sticks, when it can all be mixed into 1?
Be more aerodynamic should you need to make a long chuck.
Hi Marshal, the idea of having a small Stick plus PVA bag is to firstly incorporate different levels of breakdown within the overall attraction, but also use the small bag to hold baits that you may have been feeding heavily in the warmer months; boilies particles and larger items that don't work so well in a Stick as they could be pierced by the needle when attaching the Stick and end up on the hooklink. Thanks for sharing your tactics and good luck!
Do you reckon we could soak our hook baits in the Smart Liquid for a longer period of time, if we add a tad bit of water to the mix? WIll the baits absorb that lovely attraction smoke and release it afterwards?
Its probably best just to use the Smart Liquid alone or mix with a little Muti-Stim to thin it down, but not water as the liquids will react and so the baits would eventually turn.
Could you take a pot of pop ups or wafters and use this as a glug straight on to them with out them going mouldy ,,is the liquid shelf life so too speak
There no real need to do that Mally, coating the hookbait just before casting out would be sufficient. If you're looking to glug hookbaits checkout our Hookbait Enhancement System dips.
Another great video👍. Would you always recommend high visual hook baits?
When I'm looking for a high attract presentation then yes, if in the summer perhaps I was fishing over boilies or a spodded then I may divid my rods between Hi-Visual and match the hatch style baits to see whats works - although more often than not I find a bright bait to be a winner!
Ok great thanks John.👍
Hi.
A very good video, food for thought.
A question, may i ask what is the real time span from dropping the rig into the water until it is fully broke down, depending on the water temp.
If a fish does take your bait before it as fully broke down, and with the heavy goo on the pop up will the rig still work?
Thanks Ray - we used cold water and the presentation begins to breakdown straight away, although any PVA friendly liquid like the Smart Liquid used here will delay that melt time of PVA in water time slightly (the more you use the bigger the delay), but the Smart Liquid will never inhibit the hook ability of the rig.
Wich of these toppers are the sweet/fruity smelling ones I've never used them before but because I can't get into the tackle shop to smell them im struggling. Not overly familiar with the flavours
Hi James, Toppers are available in four flavours to match our Freezer Bait boilies; Hybrid, Cell, Essential Cell and The Link. Out of the those the Essential Cell does have a fruity like smell. Here's a video with some more info: czcams.com/video/O61vW4j1oRM/video.html
Do you need to use the additive? Does it matter if I use the bigger style PVA mesh? Great video, glad I found this channel as I would have no clue on what to do, as I am a new angler!
Hi, the Multi Stim works well with the Stick as its consistency is thinner than the Smart Liquid, you could use the Smart Liquid but just a little and mix thoroughly so the mix doesn't become paste like. Yes, you can use larger mesh and still tie bags and Sticks around this size. Welcome to the channel - glad we can help!
@@MainlineBaitsCarpFishingTV Thanks for the help!
Hello my name is Oleg and I am carp fishing in Israel
I love you products and explanations
I just do not understand one thing:
I just bought the hookbait enhancement system cell,link,hybrid- my question is what it type does?
In Israel I fish with a flavour silicon corn and a tiger nut or 2
Should I use hookbait enhancement system and what it does to a flavoured corn os it distrois a flavour??
Pease it is very important to me.
Thanks
Hi Oleg, you can glug your artificial baits and/or Tiger nuts - no problem. I'd suggest separating some and leaving them in the Hookbait Enhancement System for a couple of weeks. After that they will release that flavour and taste.
@@MainlineBaitsCarpFishingTV
Help and thank you so much for your answer.
But all my my silicone corn is is in flavour deep.
What do you suggest.
Different flavors
@@volfsonoleg Our Profile Plus and Response Flavours mixed with Multi-Stim at a ration of 1 part flavour to 5 parts Multi-Stim work really well with plastic hookbaits.
@@MainlineBaitsCarpFishingTV I have all the line of all the flavors
Actually I deep my silicone corn in them for a few weeks
The question is
If I glug them in “cell” or “link”
The flavors go away or what happens?
I ordered a natural flavor of enhancement system to merge with response flavors and then glug
Great video as usual. Do you have any tips for putting particles inside the PVA. Ive tried it in the past and the moisture from the corn and hemp starts melt the PVA before i can even cast it out. Thanks
You can dry them in a little groundbait or make them PVA friendly by add them to a dish or something similar, then water and salt - give it all a good stir then drain off the water.
@@MainlineBaitsCarpFishingTV thanks mate, I'll give it a go 👍
@@jayleft No worries!
Good. Plz tell me a smell liquid for carp which is available in Pakistan.
Another awesome video
Essential cell and fruit smart liquid is working for me at the moment 👍🏻👍🏻
Fantastic! Glad to hear it Andrew!
Solid bag no good then?
Great video, has def given me few ideas for diff combo's of attractants. Just never thought of using pellets and groundbait pva combinations but makes sense. 👍
Glad it was helpful Martin!
Is there a bait spray you can put on toppers to boost the attraction
Not a specific flavour no, but there's no harm in a mix/match combo!
@@MainlineBaitsCarpFishingTV actual spray/liquid i meant
Like this video , but why two small bags when you could fit all into a bag rather than mesh ?
The idea is simply so you can use different mesh bags depending on your preferences, but of course you could combine into one. Glad you liked the video!
@@MainlineBaitsCarpFishingTV Love the smart liquid so far - cream mixed with the no name goo = total confidence
What size mesh is this? Annoyed that it doesn’t tell me 😂 amazing vid can’t wait to try it
Sorry Phil it is the Boilie size funnel webs mesh from Korda but you could also use the smaller Longchuck version or any narrow sized PVA mesh system - glad you enjoyed the video!
@@MainlineBaitsCarpFishingTV so is this 25mm or 35mm?
@@philwithers4311 it'd be 25mm Phil.
Hi! What happens to this presentation in a river with a strong stream? Any tips? Many thanks!
There would be some serious levels of attraction carried downstream, which would be good. Depending of the strength of flow the chopped boilies could be better in the PVA mesh bag to try and stop them moving away from the hookbait.
This how i fish my river thru winter months and it will catch fish, only no need for 2 sticks, that i don't get, it can all be in 1 stick and will be tad more cast friendly aswell.
Would you be conscious using a PVA stick on a wafter rig over silt? I love using PVA sticks to ensure there's some attarction around my hookbait but one venue I'm fishing has fairly deep silt and I never know if the PVA bag is dragging everything down into the silt too much vs just a wafter which I'd hope would settle on top
Hi Freddie, no a long PVA Stick would slow the decent of the rig and help it stay above the silt in my opinion - I would however check/smell my wafter hookbait when reeling in, if it was absorbing too much scent from the silt I'd probably change to a pop-up.
Test de la salty squid en pop UP... Départs de malade, et 21kg de sorti... C'est pas un record, mais ça fait plaisir quand même....
Thanks.
Good stuff if you can get it out the bottle. Needs redesigning in my opinion bloody squeezing for 20 mins trying to get the stuff out
It would quite be the same otherwise unfortunately.
Wil this work good for the winter?
Oh yes - it's an ideal 'minimal' bait approach for winter.
@@MainlineBaitsCarpFishingTV thanks
@@Sophie-runhaar No worries Sophie - good luck this winter!
A little worried about the hook link not laying flat in the video.
Its okay Paul its because the rig is dropped in a tank rather than cast and is not attached to line/lead etc.
What colours are the liquids please ?
Hi Mally, Cell is pink, Cream is a cream colour, Fruit is yellow and Fish is red.
Can you leave a link with the tools you are using?
Hi you'll find info to all the baits on our website (link in the description) and the PVA mesh is the Boilie sized funnel web PVA mesh system from Korda.
@@MainlineBaitsCarpFishingTV thank you friend ,I will check it out
@@Smokingkill187 No problem - good luck!
Nice; only £131.86 to buy it all.

Top tips but arent carp colour blind ?
Its a can of worms subject that one, but for me bright hookbaits and colours do work and can make a difference.
Oh defo im sure they can see a difference in depths , pink seems to work on deep waters for me in winter and mid water on zigs @@MainlineBaitsCarpFishingTV
Serait t'il possible de faire de temps en temps des vidéos en français svp, je pense que la communauté francophone qui vous suivent ou achètent vos produits serai fortement intéressé, au moins sous titré vos vidéos !
How to empty your pockets and catch nothing. Over doing it doesn't work! Fish don't have a chemistry degree!😂
Empty your pockets? This video promotes the use of baits anglers are all ready using and catching with? In very small amounts - but thanks for the comment they are all appreciated and of course watching the video!
