I have a short story for the question of the day: My mom decided to make a small list of questions for each of us kids to answer, sort of like a memorable thing for us to look back on and go "Wow this is how so and so felt when they were nine!" or something. So one of the questions was 'What's your favorite tree?' and my eight year old sister answered "wood".
I'm not sure if she was being serious back then or not, but it was pretty funny.

Just as a short note, my dad is in the firewood business and for every number of trees cut down, it is mandatory to plant saplings.
For the question of the day, my favourite tree is the Pohutukawa trees over here in New Zealand, also known as the New Zealand Christmas tree, since they bloom in the summer, which is from December-February for us, though it's most noticeable towards the end of December. They're absolutely stunning with their red flowers, certainly a sight to behold, and a good reason I'd recommend coming to New Zealand during December or January if you can. I'm lucky enough to have one in my backyard, always nice to just go out and look up at it when I just need to relax :D

@@Sleepyey3s Oh no! But yes, they are quite tall and beautiful, I can see why someone would want to climb one, I never climbed trees as a kid, too scared of heights, but if I were to climb one it would probably be a Pohutukawa tree, just because they're so damn pretty!
