Ive had a pair of these which ive now done almost a 1000 miles in, and the tread is still going strong. They take a while to break in, maybe 2 months of continued use, but its worth it in the end. Very grippy in dry conditions over rocky surfaces, but as the previous commentor mentioned, when wet, you have to be more careful. Im going to be hiking the PCT next year and im going to buy another pair of these for that. Big thumbs up to Merrell.

Im looking as i wanted to see the colour as im looking to replace mine, i had mine 4 years with reasonable amounts of walking of say 5 miles per day and they have been great, very comfortable, need be a little cautious in the wet as can be slippery, but overall very comfortable and were good enough for me to choose a like for like replacement which is unusual for me. so cheers for sharing.

Merrell is the only shoe I wear at work, I use the merrell moab ii, mid size. And i do carpentry, they are the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever wore. Nice review!!
