Japanese toy designers expanded the idea by applying the Origami technique - the art of folding paper but this time they aren't folding any paper here. Just the idea of it.

The paint chips away as usual and the knees destroys itself and its too gappy here and there, but the trailer is fun. And no, its over complicated to transform and not fun, its a chore. Mp1 was perfect in that regard, just too big and not enough articulation otherwise it got the looks and style to a T

The overall design is created by the designer but the manufacturer also decided what had to stay and what had to change for moving parts.

SOUNDWAVE was my favorite. To think as kids we transformed these in seconds within mins after first opening them. The 80s!!!
When it came to the complex transformer toys, I always thought the fun was in making them transform back and forth until it got easy (even though they would inevitably break in the process). I’ve never had any that were as complicated as this, so I bet adults would enjoy it more. I know that if I got something like this when I was little, I’d try and work on it for five minutes, hand it to my uncle who would’ve either admitted defeat in two minutes or accidentally break a part of it by trying to force something. Good times.

I still have the original dicast metal prime from the 80's, My father passed it down to me. He sold everything else. He had literally every 80's transformer, even Omega supreme and Trypticon. He regrets selling them all those years ago, they would be worth thousands today.

OMG... The engineering on this thing is crazy. I love it. It's the most animation accurate and beautiful looking Prime I've ever seen. Both robot and vehicle mode look great. Transformation is a bit intimidating. Love the sound chip. How much does this thing go for?
It's 500. The nemesis prime one looks better and will be the price of a normal masterpiece so that's nice

Furai just announced the presale of the Generation 1 Optimus model kit. It doesn't transform, but it's the most accurate looking robot version I have seen.

This is the greatest Optimus Prime I have ever seen. It's now time to build a real one based on this model.
There's a better third party one forget what it's called but it's way cleaner and doesn't have a jetpack
@@Scott-tk8gi There's Magic Square which has better poseability and a much cleaner back, and TE-01 with a cleaner back, but a slightly more complex transformation and less poseability in some parts.

I have this MP. In my opinion, the model is pretty good, but has some problems. There are some paint fails in the back, and the legs can be broken easily unless you disassemble them and fix them.
This is a lot better than the Optimus Prime I had as a kid . all these are next level quality

If you were a g1 kid which I suspect you are not then this is easy. The hard part was reading the instructions and trying to transform. You just do it and figure out out. I had six shot. He transformed into robot, truck space ship, gun like Megatron and three other modes I forgot.
@@deepee918 Oh please, as a G1 kid there was nothing even remotely close to this level of complexity. Most were 5-6 steps.

To be fair, this figure comes with a bunch of accessories that serve no other purpose than to artificially Jack up the price to insulting levels.
100-150 would be a fair price for this figure imo.

Looks like it would take a little bit to completely transform him and other transformers this company makes but the detail they put into the transformers is unbelievable, I want to buy a couple.

The articulation and dexterity of these figures is immense. Clearly the mecha style designs suit the Transformers and provides less cartoonish and more realism of movements seen in the Transformer films.
I am not worthy enough to own this toy.
Trust me this thing isn't worth it. Get the nemesis prime variant instead. It's not overpriced like this.
