Part Six of our ongoing series of interviews with Dr. Bob Heil, live sound pioneer, audio guru, and top-tier Amateur Radio manufacturer.
In this video, Bob diverts a bit from Amateur Radio to tell us about his involvement with perhaps one of the strangest new musical instrument adaptations of the 1970s, the Talk Box. While not invented by Bob, he certainly gets the credit for making it popular and for creating the first commercially viable version. If you ever heard "Rocky Mountain Way" by Joe Walsh, or "Do You Feel Like We Do" by Peter Frampton, you already know about the Talk Box!
