Not related to her theme directly, but it's very charming that while using flutes, she plays a tune casting magic. Always loved that little detail with the weapon changes.

She has one of the most beautiful themes in the game...and is better at healing than Dagger. Huge respect for how she literally stomps all over our previous White Mage Dagger.

Don't forget that she STARTS with auto-regen, which is bar none the best support ability in the game.

Eiko has way more personality and likability than Dagger does as well.

I think Eiko is expected to be more White Mage than Summoner while Dagger is the opposite. Just look at their respective Trance which gives Eiko Double White Magic while Dagger has a boosted Eidolon summon.

The theme of the girl who’s madly in love with Zidane despite the 10 year age gap. 😂

Yeah, if anything, Zidane just sees her as a weird little sister. He's only focused on Garnet

      @DanielBevisDesign Před 21 dnem

It's weird wholly because she's supposedly 6 [lol, sure] - now if she were 12-14, like she's written as, then I'd get it, but what person [that] young has such strong feelings about love of all things?

0:00 Eiko "The name's Eiko! Shouldn't you introduce yourself before addressing a lady?"
    Vivi "You introduced yourself first..."
    Eiko "You got a problem!?"
    Vivi "..."
Dagger "I'm Dagger, and this is Vivi."
Why is Garnet still going by "Dagger"? At this point they've left the Mist Continent and have no notability here so she really doesn't need to hide her identity anymore.
    Eiko "Yeah? What about you?"
    Zidane "Me? I'm Zidane."
    Eiko "Zidane. Alright."
Zidane "So, Miss Eiko, why did you steal from the village?"
    Eiko "I was hungry..."
But when we go to Madain Sari after this, there seems to be a bunch of food there, considering a bunch of moogles live there and Eiko makes you dinner, did you not bring a bag of food with you when you left Madain Sari? Actually, now that you mention it, what were you doing all the way out here in Conde Petie, why did the Moogles let a six year old go out by herself into terrain with vicious creatures hanging around with only one Moogle to look after her? (Yes, Mog is actually a Eidolon in disguise, but I'm pretty sure the other moogles did not know that) It's never explained why Eiko came to Conde Petie, and apparently repeatedly too as the Dwarfs said that Eiko has stolen food more than once. (Also the Dwarves really couldn't catch a little girl all those times?) Which makes no sense, you'd think she'd stop after the first time or just bring food with her afterwards, or just try living with the dwarves. Also why was she in Conde Petie when the party first got there (as seen in that ATE) but then waited the next day (or even days going by realistic travel time) when the party came back from visiting the BM village to steal something?
Zidane "Ha ha ha... You sound just like Quina." "Hey, did s/he really go chasing after that moogle?"
Except that Quina is just a glutton, but way to make fun of a little girl you just met who might be potentially in poverty.
1:10 [Eiko is in her kitchen, situated beside a waterfall. The moogles approach her and speak to her]
    Eiko
"Thanks for cleaning! You guys did a great job!"
"A clean house worthy of hosting my hero, Zidane!"
"But here's where the real challenge begins!"
"I don't think Zidane and Dagger are dating, yet."
"Dagger has been slow to catch on to Zidane's moves."
Eiko would be great at criticizing Zidane's and Garnet's love story.
    Eiko
"That means there's still plenty of time for me to get between them!"
"I'm gonna cook lots of yummy good and show Zidane what a good homemaker I am!"
Again, Eiko, you are only six, you should be at least having more of a cute toy ship with Vivi, which is what a lot of the fanfic writers actually do.
    Mocha
"Kupo! It might work if you cooked good food."
    Momatose
"But Eiko screws up a lot when she cooks."
"We don't have much food in stock right now..."
But the fact that you do have food means that you do grow it here. Skipping to the ending of the ATE, most of this is just cooking talk filler and you choosing what ingredients to use (and it's only impact being how the party reacts to Eiko's dinner which is just a few lines of dialogue and no item rewards)
    Eiko
    "Let's start!"
[The two other moogles fly away, as one remains, floating above her. Eiko looks up at the sky]
    "Grandpa..."
"I don't wanna be alone anymore."
    "Help me do this right…
But you aren't alone, you live with a bunch of Moogles, and what about the Dwarves? You can make company with them too, in fact, some dwarves should be living here in Madain Sari, just like there should have been some summoners living in Conde Petie. (If the world building was better)
Eiko's "I don't wanna be alone anymore" line, which is also on her character poster, is completely false and pretentious, and goes back to what I said in Treno about Steiner, his motivational poster and the character posters in general.
Sakaguchi had apparently stated: "The game is based on eight characters, each with their own background story and personal traumas. Based on the questionnaires from our gameplay testers, most people thought the characters are unique and the storyline is very deep."
They seriously considered this plot to be "deep" and these characters to be "dramatic"?
The stuff about Eiko's grandfather is interesting, but we never fully learn about him, or even see him onscreen in a flashblack, he's only ever mentioned.

  • @Zelink108
    @Zelink108 Před 20 dny

2:25 Eiko "Zidane, let me ask you something." "My grandfather told me not to leave the village until my sixteenth birthday..." "But I want to go with you guys! I really do!" "Do you think it's okay if I leave the village?" [Choose between "Yes" or "No". Might as well choose "Yes" and be nice]
Except that you've technically already have left the village to go to Conde Petie, several times.
Zidane "I'll agree if that's what you want." "Eiko, come with us. Forget what your grandpa said."
Great advice Zidane, telling her to forget any important information that her deceased grandfather might have told her. That doesn't sound insensitive.
Eiko "What? You think I'm mad at you?" "I'm furious! You went off without me again! You promised me you wouldn't!" "What would you do if you went off and got into trouble!?"
Yeah, I don't get why Mog can't just turn into his true form and help Eiko. (Okay apparently there is a "reason" but it's a really stupid reason that I will be addressing when we get to that moment)
    Mog "Kupo..."
Eiko "Oh well. Thank goodness we're both alright."
Vivi "You're always nice to Mog, aren't you, Eiko?"
Eiko "Well, yeah. We're best friends, after all!" "We were born on the same day, and we have always been together!" "This is our friendship ribbon! Mog gave it to me!" "Mog, do you have the ribbon I gave you?"
Actually, regarding Eiko's statement about Mog being born along with her, eidolons are supposed to be born out of the legends and mythologies that numerous peoples have told, The conjoined memories of said legends enter the Crystal as part of the peoples' heritage, and manifest into magical creatures, whom the Crystal creates as its protectors, and there is this message on the Eidolon Wall from Eiko's parents:
"Eiko, You are a treasure born to a dying village. We are dying, and there is little we can do for you. We shall return to the stars with one wish in mind. If legends are not born of eidolons, and eidolons but born out of legends, let us leave this place with one wish: If we can give birth to a legend, it shall create an eidolon that is friend and protector of humans."
Now this message is referring to Madeen/Mog, but this message was clearly written AFTER Eiko, and thus, Mog, was already born, before they even made a legend about Madeen. Also, aren't all Eidolons supposed to be friends and protecters of humans (also, not going to include all creatures in that message, like the rat people?), considering they are nature guardians and what-not.
