you have a special gift: appreciation of small, ordinary things, the sand on the beach is gold dust, to you!
He's a Leprechaun. He must really hail.from Ireland.
You just described me! Beach sand IS gold!
You are a joy to watch and take me to my old neighborhoods
💜🧚♀️💜
You need to fly to the big island of Hawaii, Kona side then we will have German in Hawaii🤙🏽🌺🌈🌻🌴🤽♀️🤽♂️🏊♂️🚣♀️🚣♂️🏄♀️🏄♂️🌴🌴🌾🌾🌸🍃🌸🍃🌸
Just met the GIV on the boardwalk today. He was even nicer in person. Love this guy.
Nice talking to you my friend
That’s so cool!
If Arnold doesn’t meet-up with you for a vlog he should be TERMINATED! 😂

Paradise Cove is where Jim Rockford had his trailer parked in the Rockford Files tv show from 1974 to about 1980. It's always fun when you do your Arnold impressions! Thank you German in Venice!
Mike in Oregon
it was also a hot spot for the _Mod Squad_ (1968-1973), and the reunion TV movie _The Return of Mod Squad_ (1979).
@@Zebra_3 Jim's Rockford's address: 29 Cove Road, Malibu CA. There was an exact reproduction of his trailer parked there for some years after the show ended but I think it's gone now.
Yea, Paradise Cove is where the Rockford Files was filmed at, 1974-1980. The Rockford Trailer was parked just across where the restaurant is. James Garner hung out and ate at that eating establishment a lot.
Good call. I love that show.
Cool deal. Used to stay up and watch Rockford files with my Dad. Always enjoyed James Garners movies as well.
This was a great one German! Very calm and very nice!

I havent been to Malibu since the 1970's. There used to be some Surfer "beach bums" who lived there. It was really beautiful. I used to know a guy who owned a home right on the beach and the surf would come in and hit under his house at night and shake the house. My mind was always clear from the clean salt air. I really missed it when I left.
I would give anything to be back in Malibu again right now! Mike, you're living my dream! Look at that ocean! 👍😎
I literally live 20 minutes away from Malibu and for my entire life of more than 50 years all I've ever done is drive through Malibu on the way to LAX Airport or other areas in the Los Angeles area. Trust me, you're not missing out on anything!
The water really isn't that great in Malibu anymore the last time I got in the water there I got out with an oil stain on my leg and it was really gross
Born and raised in So Cal. Been everywhere you went many many times. And I still really enjoyed your video.
Thank you.
Another great video from German and Venice love from Washington State we all support you German and Venice
Courtney Love's song Malibu
I used to be a FedEx driver there for many years... knew where all the musicians and actors lived. But this one was the coolest one I will never forget. I had a delivery ( a big amp box and an instrument ) they opened the gate walk to the garage they were nothing more, nothing less than Korn band seating there just hanging out. The boxes were for Jonathan they were great. Met kid rock , mel Gibson, Garnet and others.... good times :)
Big Korn fan here! Great story!!!
Took a road trip to Malibu on my couch today. Amazing! Thanks❤🤍💙
Love your travels, old signs, etc! ❤❤👍
I missed you Mike.. I drove all the way to Venice to see you we'd & Thurs and you weren't there.. Maybe next time I have a picture in front of your store
Always a pleasure watching the German.
That was Awesome! Thanks again. Hope to see you some day. Have a great day. ❤️
Love riding up the Neptunes Net, eating shrimp and having a beer watching 5he ocean!
German In Venice always makes me feel better. When I'm blue your a ray of sunshine!🌞
Beautiful as always & your Arnold impersonation is spot on! It's amazeing to see how many movies were shot on that beach! And music videos! Thank you for takeing us on your beautiful vacation! You mentioned how the flowers remind you of your mom! Flowers remind me of my Grandmother she loved flowers!
I drove through there recently, driving the HWY 1 is the most beautiful drive ever. I'm currently in Laguna hills.
Fukushima Fallout Fish
Thank You for taking us along!
If it wasn't for you we wouldn't be there either, thanks Mike!
@10:00 When GIV asked the Seagal if he was here when Britney Spears was here, the Seagal walked to the NO
What a nice vlog, just going to different parts of California. A nice view all around 🏖🌊🏄♂️🌊🏄♀️🏝
I love watching your channel. Hey. *You* are famous now! It all came full circle and like your idols, you made it on your own. :)
I just love your positive perspective of everything. I admit, I watch your videos not only as a lover of CA (I also have brothers there), but also to put a smile on my face!
You’re the coolest thing in Malibu😘
"There's so many things you can do..." he tells us, while standing next to the sign showing us all the things one may NOT do there😆
What a day in PARADISE! Thanks for taking us along!
I love your videos, and they are actually my main source of news on the homeless and LA, keep it up!
Yes vlogging is hard work and in Southern California you have the most beautiful places in America. I enjoy your Soundtrack too it's relaxing. Malibu is so lovely it reminds me of Santa Barbara's Beaches. Thank you GIV!
GIV, you do AMAZING prodoductions 👍 .. Keep it up!
Loved your Malibu adventure ♥️ keep it up !!
Thanks Mike, enjoyed it. Felt like I was on a vacation too with German in Venice. What better person to be showing you around!
Thank you for the adventure friend.
German in Venice good luck on your CZcams journey soon you will have a million subs
I don't know, he's been at it a long time , I wish him the best
I bet there are some people that do not like him exploiting the homeless issue and making five or $10,000 a month from CZcams as a result
@@jeeess9979 I don't see a problem, why didn't one of the homeless people on the beach start a youtube channel, I bet their channel would have surpassed his, I'll tell you why, because they are lazy and want something for nothing and put forth no thought or effort, used to getting everything free and now the country is crying for people who won't wipe their own ass off of public land, they trash it and pay zero taxes , I'm pissed about it, other people are storing their junk and they lay in a tent while the city pays people to move their junk or throw it away
That's a stunning amount of film trivia. You must spend lots of time compiling all those photos and details.
Enjoyable to watch the Big Kid GIV enjoying himself. ☺️👍
Thanks for bringing us along ‼️
Malibu such a beautiful spot... Malibu's Most Wanted is another great movie to match up next time... Love it when you go with the flow.. makes for great vids.
Enjoy my daily GIV, much needed stress release
Please never stop showing us different movie scene locations Mike! There's absolutely no one better than you
Love Love LOVE 💗 Your Vlogs
Always fun to watch, and I do like all the movie locations!
You always reinforce what I love about this place. We know you have fun with it, but most of us know that it is hard work. Thank you for doing what you do!
I seriously love when you match up the photos!!!! Soooo freaking cool!
I just love Paradise Cove - can’t wait until borders are open again. Thanks for the great video and greetings from Wiesbaden Germany.
Great video as always Mike. I really enjoy when you do the picture match ups. Those are really fun to see. Have a wonderful day Notorious GIV!!
Down 30pounds Started with you working out on Venice Beach.
I don't work out much but, cutting out all sugar has been working for me. Thanks to you for the inspiration. Great videos! 😃
"and now, Mike is dancing here..." too funny !
I would goto Malibu seafood with my Mom. Drive through Topanga or Malibu Canyon. I miss my Mom. I was just in Malibu a few weeks ago for the holiday.
Youre videos have a certain vibe to them. They make me happy
Nice video Mike, it always feels like i'm right there with you!😎🌴🌊🌞
👍😁✌✌
Beautiful composition from the Pacific edge of the North American Continent, you must be congradulated for your service to humanity.
I have been trying to explore Malibu lately. Thank you so much for the info 💕
I was trying to follow where you were on google maps. I was looking for Cher's house and saw she had a tennis court so I started looking for homes with tennis courts. There are so many homes with tennis courts in Malibu!
We love you GIV. I cannot travel and I thank you so much for taking me to all of these beautiful, interesting places
Thank for another Great video Mike!
That's funny seagull walked on the word no when he asked the question .
😱😄
Malibu was a popular place to go to back in 80's. To those here in whatever Indiana is😂😂. Thanks German🤗💗 Be Safe
Hey German in Venice! Great video! Love these type. Waiting for your merch. Like the stickers! Thanks for your work!👍🌈🌞❤💜💙💚🧡💛💫🌟💯
You're right. Someone from outside the area coming here has more of an appreciation and a different perspective than locals who take things for granted. I imagine that's the case everywhere. Thanks for a wonderful interesting slice of America that I hope to see one day.
Love your videos, and positivity:)
Black Forest is the repair shop I take my 911 to. They're great, and not much more expensive than psycho analysis. 😮
Mike, you do everything with such love, and heart...I went to University in California and when I had to leave I cried. I still do, and your videos just mean so much. Thank you.
Great video German in Venice🔥 love the photo match ups especially MJ and his brothers awesome 👏💕👍👍👍
Joy. Pure entertainment Mike. If we all could turn off the hate. I have and now watch you. Your mother raised a great man. Thank her for me.
Let us in again please so we can come visit these beautiful places again!! 😍
God bless you German in Venice you offer such a wonderful thing to the entire world and you do all this on your very own dime, as a long time viewer I appreciate what you do, you deserve a community educational award if there is such a thing, there should be. God bless you and your family and loved ones. Jason 🙏😇
wow!! thank you for taking us along. . . Amazing!! have fun Love your videos 👍💜💕💕💕💕💕
That was great!
Cheers from Detroit! I loved this video! So much better than the mainstream, mass produced/mass consumed garbage that's created today!
I toured that area around 2000, so beautiful! The California I remember was incredible, magic. Touring this again now with GIV, how cool is that!? Thanks GIV!
TOPANGA BEACH, oh well, visited often.
The PCH is beautiful.
I love you man… just keep doing it. 💯
Leo Carrillo beach reminded of the movie Grease, great video!!!
I love Malibu! I was rock scrambling with the Sierra Club, about 1979, and we were all on the way to get to our rocks and we passed through the beach in front of Shirley MacLaine’s house, and she was outside making an exercise video.
And I love the little shops, and I also used to live in Santa Monica Canyon, and hike down to the Malibu beach with the families dog named Stephie and we would walk all around.
She had been neglected by the family who kept her, and she would be so excited to go out on walks with me, and she would be waiting for me when I got back home.
Thanks for sharing Malibu with us. After all the wild fires, I’m so glad to know it’s still there.
I’m sure it’s been said, but you give me Huell Howser vibes with your true appreciation and wonder for our local treasures 🥰 Thank you GIV!
Recently I have watched another YT'er, tonyvera1902, to get his take on the homeless encampments as well, but only after watching a few of his video's I became furious over his his negative attacks on you. I left a comment with my opinion and let him know I won't be watching his channel any more .I enjoy your video's, I started watching to learn about the homeless encampments and get your perspective.
P.S. - I first watched tonyvera1902's video's where he was recording stories everyday at LAX. Seemed like everyday. But I honestly think he saw your successful channel and how you report on Venice Beach. I think that's the reason he started shooting video's from there, to get more subs and views. I also think he began making negative personal comments about you to get people to stop watching your channel and watch his. To me that's a classless thing to do. He is saying things like you are on the rich people's side, that you were against homeless people, he saw you talking to the deputies and said something to the affect that you were talking to them because you are against the homeless and want them gone. So, I told him exactly what I thought about his comments. Just wanted you to know he's doing that. Which is classless and immature. Keep up the good and entertaining work. GIV on the beach in V!
I usually try not to side or care. I used to religiously watch Tony's channel. I'm a big fan of his cats. However I find GIV's channel very positive.
GiV ain't got time for any negativity!!
Malibu always makes me think of Two and a Half Men :D
I’m really looking forward to the day where I bump into the notorious GIV. I will give the biggest hug because I love the channel and your energy so much! Keep up the amazing videos German, we love it!
Mr. German, Thank you for the sights you share with us. I love your enthusiasm and joy!
I love Malibu! I'm really happy you showed us the different locations, that's my favorite kind of your content!
Love from Norwood, Missouri!!!
I don’t see this every day, and I appreciate you showing us. Thank you :)
Thanks for sharing such great places great video 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
That was a brilliant fun video, loved the tour of Malibu, it was like been there. Please do more videos like this.☺
The nature isn't only bleak in Sweden, i obviously can see it's wurser there but it's soon failing everywhere ! Nice show ✌️out from the other side!!
My favorite site, especially helpful the past year! Entertaining, positive & original music is great.
German in venice very interesting brilliant video enjoyed you done it proud keep them coming 👏🌴🌴🌞😎👍
This channel is the most positive thing on CZcams. I love it!
I liked it! Especially enjoy the movie references which I’m sure isn’t easy to match up. Keep up the great work.
This is the attitude people who came to California in the 80s and 90s had. Great! You can tell he truly appreciates California. Wonderful content and person.
Oh, this was fun -- and such a nice variation from the eyesores at Venice that you've covered thoroughly.
Providing the 4" x 6" photos from the music videos and movies was a brilliant idea, "German in Venice."
A real shame your hoped for view of the sea from the unique vantage point of Neptune's Net was blocked by the motor home -- that probably wasn't even there just five minutes before you arrived. "Wouldn't you know?! It happens to the best of us."
Speaking of photos, during your well-done tour at Paradise Cove you were SO CLOSE to the photo plaque (near The Beach Boys one) honoring the classic private eye TV show, "The Rockford Files" (1974 - 80). Jim Rockford's (James Garner) trailer house / office and his iconic Pontiac Firebird were parked on the north end of the parking lot, within a few yards of the sand. Oh, did viewers get plenty of views of Malibu when watching "The Rockford Files"! (On German TV it's titled, "Detektiv Rockford -- Anruf genugt")
David ("The Fugitive," 1963 - 67) Janssen's private eye series, "Harry O" (1974 - 76), filmed its exteriors there too, on the opposite side of the pier. Harry Orwell (Janssen) lived at the third house on the beach south of the pier. His modest 700 sq. foot beach pad, with his sail boat he was often fiddling with, 'The Answer,' plopped down on the sand in front, was razed long ago; the lot sold for a reported $44 million. Harry O's GORGEOUS 'friend-with-benefits' / stewardess neighbor, Sue (Farrah Fawcett, just a year before "Charlie's Angels"), lived next door; the middle house. Within the past year (2020 - 2021) a McMansion has been constructed in the place of Harry's home (ed. - how in the world did the California Coastal Commission grant a pass on its OVER-SIZED construction?! . . . . "Oh, Oh -- I know, I know, I know -- $$$$ perhaps?").
Finally, while the wonderful, pricey food at Paradise Cove has only been served at the various, covered, OUTDOOR seating areas during COVID-19 precautions by the friendly wait staff, I offer a feast-for-the-eyes diversion: walk to the restrooms INSIDE the restaurant; there, adorning the walls you'll see hundreds of framed, b&w photos showing historical aspects of the entire Malibu area -- including coverage of the many movies, TV shows and music videos filmed there. The displays are truly an embarrassment of riches; a historical time capsule. For instance, you'll notice the pier today is just 1/3 its original length -- ravaged by storms in previous decades.
"Danke, 'German in Venice.'"
I remember watching Bob Dylan’s castle barn back in the 70s in Malibu.
1979 I was bumming around S Cal with my guitar, I went to that house which is near Topanga Cayon by Malibu, I went up to the gate to see if Bob was home, a woman with large dark brown eyes was startled as she saw me standing there with my guitar, I had slept on the beach that morning, I asked if Bob is home, she said, "No, but, you can go to the front gate and talk to the security guard and leave a message. It was Sarah Dylan. Very crazy times.
@@josephomally4244 Actually the conversation with Sarah Dylan and the security guard was very cordial, they let me leave a message for Bob and were very kind to me, but, yes, people typically have security to protect their households, kinda like what I have now.
I will take a road trip from San Diego to come and explore now that you made me curious with this video.
I've been in Neptune's, Malibu is the best place I have ever visited and I'm from dublin ireland. I still think about it every day it's a beautiful place to go
great man, malibu looks great, paradise cove, beautiful hills next to the beach
That was beautiful Mike, thank you!😎
Just before the pandemic froze everything I rented a nice Mustang convertible in LA (I was a tourist) and drove out to Malibu to spend the day at all the various top beaches. Highly recommend everyone do this at least once in their lives. So many beautiful places. It's nice to see how the other half lives. It's an amazing, memorable day trip.
Agreed! Live your best life.
I love your show 👍🤙❤️😍
Just love all the different sites you go to. jion you to go anywhere thank you for sharing 🌞
