I don't know why both Thessaloniki and Athens have so many graffitis on buildings. The majority of them are ugly, some of them look good. The Sea seems to be dirty in this video. Is it always like that?

Yup the coast in Thessaloniki is not suitable for swimming. The harbor and the city provides with plenty of pollution.

Salonicae literally means SUN (un-voweled as SLNCE = СЛНЦЕ). While the current name Tze-Salonicae means BRIGHT SUN where Tze=LIGHT. The Greeks know the un-voweled word SLAVS, that comes from SILA-VAS, better known to the Greeks as VAS-SILA or KING (вас-сила) means YOUR-POWER, translated in the English as YOUR-MAJESTY.
