@@WMCS Hi again Kevin, just to let you know I managed to get a new clutch fitted going by your instructions on the video but had to do it 3 times!!!, first one the cylinder packed in shortly after fitting a Borg & Beck clutch kit so rather than giving me a new cylinder they gave me a new complete kit, same brand Borg & Beck, drove van for a couple of days and same thing happened cylinder started leaking. Then for my trouble this they gave me a Luk clutch kit, the cylinder looked so much better made and was the same design as the old Renault cylinder I took out, that was about a year ago and have had no problems since, so will stay clear of Borg & Beck from now on, the actual Borg & Beck clutch was probably okay but their cylinders are scrap. BTW I found the gearbox very hard to lift/refit on my own so decided to make a little wooden platform that I bolted to angle iron that I welded to the trolly jack head to raise it up to the engine. by wriggling the box on the platform and adjusting the angle of the engine I managed to get in in place with not much effort - Thanks again for the video found it a great help - Rob

I have just changed both driveshafts, so before do it all over again to try to change my clutch, do you think that a clutch pedal not coming properly back up and the gears being very hard to shift with the shift handle in the first five minutes of driving has anything to do with the clutch being due for a replacement ?

Can anyone explain what i could have done wrong as it's really rocked my confidence!,everything was torqued to spec and it was bled correctly, used correct clutch alignment tool etc,the bleeding everyone said would be the difficult part but i found it ok.

RS 500 i do them all. I never reject. You show me a gearbox and I’m onto it...lol.
Funny you mention a D4D I went to mid wales to get one done. It was one of the heaviest boxes I’ve ever dangled on top of my head. 😆... as for rav 4. 4x4. It’s a proper c**t.

They are indeed lol fair play to ye,if only the customers knew how hard it is to do a clutch and the heavy lifting involved ya wouldn’t get as much moans lol,”ahh sure it’s only a clutch thing” it’s a matter of looking under and fixing something under the clutch pedal 😂😂 job done😂 👍
