Both please.... I’ve collected quite a number of guitars since the 70’s the last two I purchased were Suhr’s. A custom-T & a modern. Both sound exquisite clean. The build is outstanding. My PRS have taken a back seat for now, but it’s like the weather - I could be back to my old Tele anytime. That’s the fun of guitars :)
The Suhr seems to be recorded slightly louder ? Both sound good though. The Anderson is a bit cleaner and open to my ears. Am not a fan of the TA SC series 'single coils' though. They're like in-between neutral no-fish-nor-meat. I have them on a TA classic. My favorite TA humbucker is the H3. For true single coil sound, I prefer seymour duncans vintage or alnico pro 2's.
Thanks for a really well played demo. Its an interesting demo because the guitars are quite different yet have similar tones. I probably prefer the Tom Anderson because it has very good clarity, although warmer tone on the neck and neck/middle positions. Do you think the ML pickups in the Suhr are higher output than the single coils in the Tom Anderson?
I believe that the SC1 pickups from Tom Anderson have a higher output since they aren’t really a single coil but a staggered pickup. I have 2 of those that I removed from a Drop top I used to have and replaced them with lollar blondes because they were too dark. Now in regards to the Asato ML are true single coils...however I think the guitar uses the silent coil system which introduces a dummy coil...and thus makes the tone a bit darker.
More open pickups in the Tom Anderson are better. More dynamics the better. Pickups can be swapped. Necks and body weight are the most important when buying a high end instrument.

Suhr sounds better to my ears, it’s biting, dynamics are great.
