TheOtherEddie... I guess you weren't there. At 1:36 -- 1:41 into the video that's my silver Escapade taking off. About an hour later, as I was landing with the main gear on the ground, the nose wheel broke off as soon as it touched down. The nose leg dug a hole in Vick and Billy's nice sod and we (the daughter of the caterer) stopped abruptly. I'm grateful we didn't flip over or have serious injuries. Thanks to 4 point safety belts, we escaped with minor injuries but, to my dismay, the plane was damaged beyond repair ( the insured value vs. the factory's estimate of repair). The motor mounts caved in, the nose leg twisted up into the floor jamming the rudder pedals up, pinching my foot and scraping my shin on the instrument panel. Everybody was very helpful and trailered my plane over to the factory where they made the estimate. The insurance company got my plane and all I got was a piece of paper (worth lots of $$$). Call me for further details 😊
