I was thinking about what Shan said about the internet adding to the phenomenon of hitting a mid-life crisis of sorts, of becoming self-aware of disatisfaction and being responsible for X circumstances in your life, earlier and earlier in life. I'd just like to throw out there than many people in my age cohort (older Millennials) have talked about this a lot with each other over the years (thanks to the internet, yes!) and it's partially, in OUR point of view (whether or not it is objectively correct), because we grew up seeing so many of our parents and grandparents deny self-awareness of accountability/wrong-doing for circumstances in their own lives and/or getting the help that they need to HELP themselves. And because we were able to see that from the outside and both see and experience the problems that created for both themselves and others AND us, we've slowly cranked the wheel in the other direction. Many of us don't want to perpetuate those same problems, so we've reacted by being vigilant to our own mental/emotional states and how they interact in a feedback loop with the outer world/environment.

      Fahr Q
"I am as much interested in winning as I am in showing the other person that there's more than one valid pov's regarding the topic."
When I read this is comes off as addressing 2 functions. One being the desire to win and the other to the desire to broaden the others views. How this information is conveyed to the other to show the possibilities varies. Ne in my experience often has a devils advocate approach in posing the idea that the prior claim has doubt in it still of not being accurate. I can see Strawman as a way to muddle the argument maintain a unsettled argument and hopefully get a position through by flying under the radar to not get noticed. Hedging to me does have multiple things involved at once, but has a endgame that is collapsed. Since I view Ne as opposing the appeal to collapse an argument with adding numerous logical possibilities strawman seems to fit better. Ni wants to look at what Si has already and what Ne has gathered thus far to come to a future conclusion that is collapsed to a presumption of what will end up being absolute. Hedging, I can see in Ne, but I view it as fitting better with Ni. Ne obfuscates arguments at time because the possibility is simply, there. Doing something like that I view as counter intuitive to what Ni does. Doing that often and frequently has a positive affect when attempting a straw man fallacy in strengthening a quantity of options. I can see false causes as the bait for a strawman argument to prevent someone from closing out an argument and exacerbating things making the effort to counter more difficult. If drawn out too long it could lead to a forced slippery slope approach to address everything in a desperate move to collapse the argument and move on.

Accepting myself as a lead Oe has allowed me to start retraining my brain out of bad habits. They say Oe ranges from closed-mindedness to zen, and, to me, that echoes the weird anxiety I sometimes get when learning new info. Hence the large town with multiple copies of the same store. Closed-minded Ne, with poor control, says, "oh God, if they're identical, which one is the *right* one?" It forgets that each one has to be inspected enough for patterns to emerge, and that requires a zen attitude towards deep focus: telling yourself you're not there yet, and that that's natural.
I live in my hometown again at the moment, precisely so that I can build up in a safe environment. While here, I'm utilizing every moment to craft a steady rulebook, so to speak, that I can look back on the next time I leave.

Mysroth Noctua Yeah animals combinations is something very interesting. Play low is the conventional introvert definition with SC in top 3. I saw Cs Joseph (not that I like is stuff) type Aubrey plaza Entp and Billie Eilish Istp. For what I saw I thought AP was like an Intj and Billie I get an Isxp vibe. The animals actually make sense for those two. Even tho they are active (to our eyes) for a standard Sc/p but I can see why. You type a lot of people on your own ? And what is your type (did you get type by Shan and Dave)? You type both of them Intj Ni Fi Sc/P ? That’s actually the type I think I am haha

It's the animals of their personality theory which stack up like the functions do and add another layer to their system. C is consume, P is play, S is sleep, and B is blast but isn't mentioned in this video. I assume the video is focusing on people who are lead Consume Play (CP) and Play Sleep (PS).
Not sure what Skibs are though lol

@@mysrothnoctua8835 So do the animals stack up as first over third and second over fourth? or is it first over fourth and second over third, as are the functions? animal ordering has always confused me :/

I'm 26 and I'm having a midlife crysis. Or at least I think I am. I might be biased. But the data indicates that more or less objectivaly.
Point is, I'm associate manager in a corporation, I have a wife (2 years together) and a 1 y o daughter. My income and expenses (just the necessary, tho) are pretty much balanced, including some credit and rent that I pay each month. I get to practice leading and developing people.
But I no longer feel passion in this life that I'm having. It might be because I've completed this achievements that ordinary people crave (achievement that i didn't really counsciously set myself). Yeah, I'm an ENTJ LIE-0, 5w6.
I'd want to have a bigger effect in the world, leave my mark by improving the world on a large scale. At least I have many more years for that than if I'd had this sort of crysis in my 40s xD.
    Am misjudging or overjudging something?
