I reached out to Rhian or Rhi as I've come to know her because she is the one I and you have to thank for giving me the push to start my channel. I came across her a while ago and loved one of her first videos where she stated that although she had taken early retirement she wasn't ready to sit and just watch daytime TV. Although circumstances ment I also found my self no longer working (I don't say retired in case I want or need to return to some type of paid employment) I too felt I needed a challenge in life and a means of getting out of my comfort zone and reinventing myself after several traumatic years where I had felt lost.

Hello Susan,,Rhi sent me to watch your channel. The color and wrap dress is a great style on most of us.The jacket is gorgeous. The skirt would be flattering with heels and the right top.I think it leads itself to more of a dressy look. Fabulous idea.😊😊😊

I love the red dress! Red is a great color for you. If you don't feel comfortable in the figure-hugging fit, just go up a size. The second outfit is really pretty. Fits you perfectly and gives proportion. The seam in front you talked about isn't noticeable. The skirt is something that you can try getting out of your comfort zone with! 🙂 I'm not especially fond of the color of the jacket. Too much of a contrast with the clothing you paired it with. I'd wear it with jeans or a darker piece of clothing. Actually denim and denim is quite popular now! LOL!!

I liked the skirt on you with the t-shirt, but obviously on camera you can't see everything. The jacket also really suited you. We are what we are, no use getting too hung up about it.♥️

Hi Susan , we are our own worse critic aren’t we ❓ I used to be a 10/12 and was highly critical of myself even then . My fav item in this haul was the jacket which I thought was very nice on you , also really like the skirt , such a shame you weren’t comfortable in it . I would love to be a size 12 again , but can’t see it happening , it was impossible to maintain ( I was living on thin air ) and I would be very worried about the prospect of loose skin after such a big loss . Can’t get away with it anymore as the skin does not spring back , I would love to be a 14/16 , think I would be happy with that . 🫶🏻💐
Hi Sue, not sure I was ever a size 12, possible when I was 12! Like you fear loose skin if I was ever to get down to that size and again like you a size 14/16 would be amazing and somewhere id hopefully like to be. xx

twinning!! great collab,, haven't been a size 12 since 1998, that's the size i really miss being but to be realistic to get down to size 16/18 would be a big achievement,x
@marianneharris-ux9pq. I can empathise , I used to be a size 10/12 many moons ago , now I’m an 18/20 ‼️. Miss being a 10/12, have kept a few items of clothes and difficult to believe I was ever that small . Kept that size for around 18 months ( with great difficulty and eating very little ) just could not maintain it 🤦🏻♀️
@@suesmith3744 hi sue, i was lucky then i could eat anything and not put an ounce on untill i got married and pregnant so after that my size went up and up too quickly being contented mum and wife i suppose i didn't think i needed to diet, it's the ugly under arm fat that gets me down, and the larger size looking back area, just don't resemble myself, menopause does not help with that either !! hope you are having a great day,x
Hi Marianne, im ok at a size 18/20 that in itself is an achievement after having been a size 26 but agree a 16 or hopefully a 14 would be even better. It is so annoying that the shops seem to stock more in these sizes whilst the bigger sizes are always snapped up first. xx
Hi Marianne, those pesky children have a lot to answer to for sure, but personally mine have been worth every pound, not so sure about all the wrinkles and grey hairs they have given me though,lol. Ive had a much better day than yesterday which was a nightmare day so no complaints about today. Hope your week is going well xx
@@susanknight7091 yeah that's true, all i keep seeing are sizes 6, 8 and 10 left, i mean i was never those sizes, and in midlife i don't really want to be ,primark only go up to a 20 in the stores and they only have one or two pieces of clothing in that size randomly, plenty of sizes 6 and 8 , they're in abundance in the stores,x

I think you should size up a size in the red dress and it would then look lovely. Wendy
He Wendy, I feal the fabric means it would still be clingy as it was the spring back type of jersey 🤷🏼♀️ I did Love the colour though and its inspired me to look out for similar coloured items. Like the dress in my George haul xx

Susan don’t be so hard on yourself LOL. I thought your choice of skirt and navy T-shirt looked lovely and I couldn’t see the seam on the top of the skirt…. I thought the whole outfit looked flattering on you and it looks lovely on Rhi too! The jacket looks amazing with it so that would be a keeper for me!
I agree the dress looked lovely on Rhi but in my opinion to wear a fitted dress in that length you have to have very good legs which you do and I don’t lol! I thought it was pretty although not very forgiving!
Romans curve range does tend to be cut slightly larger but unfortunately I think I’m right in saying, it’s not the same items as the petite or normal range! Grrrr
Susan you often mention your bingo wings which so many of us also have…….so I thought I would mention to you way that I have found of disguising them if I want to wear a sleeveless top or dress as I will not show my arms! Have you tried a fine knit poncho? If you try typing fine knit poncho into Amazon it will give you an idea of what I mean. For summer I like the popcorn type knit as you don’t even feel like you have a layer on warmth wise, but it does give some to your arms …..have a range of colours and wear them often!

I think if you sized up in the dress you'd get away with it. I think the jacket overpowered Rhian so you won that one
Hi, wow thank you high praise indeed and the experiment worked we actually found something that looked better on a size 20 over a size 12,lol. The dress even in a bigger size wasn't for me im afraid but was a lovely pretty print. Glad you enjoyed the collaboration, hopefully will become a regular thing. xx
Hi Susan, I think you are being too hard on yourself in this video, I don’t think that it highlighted your stomach as much as you imagine. I think the dress was extremely slimming on you. It would be interesting to see you in it sized up. It’s colour really suited you.
Hi Helen, I try not to be too critical but knew I had stiff competition being up against a size 12,lol. I loved the colour of the dress and the style wasn't for me but it has inspired me to buy a very similar coloured dress coming up very soon, so hopefully it suits me too. XX
