Nice looks in linen. I love linen and cotton in the summer, especially since we're going through a hot spell here in southern Ontario, Canada. It was 93F. the other day. Whew!
I heard recently of a Japanese woman dioing testing of fabrics to find their energy resonance and how they make the body feel. 100% linen tests at 5000 units, all cotton at 100, silks/various manmade fibers test quite low which draws from our very energy she said. Also that when fbers of linen and cotton are blended, the result is much lower than the 100% of pure cotton resonance. Our codies run at 100% on that scale. So natural, pure fibers especially linen are the feel-good materials for us all. Linen pillowcases are important. Love your thoughtful content always, Ma'am!! peace

I enjoy wearing linen in hot weather, wrinkles be d…ed. My favourite summer outfit is my beige linen-blend casual drawstring trousers with a white T-shirt and a white gauze blouse for airiness and sun protection. (Coastal grandma? Well, I do in fact live on a coast!) But I respectfully disagree with your suggestion about not wearing sneakers/trainers with linen trousers. While travelling in warm climates, my (clean) white sneakers are the most comfortable footwear for walking tours, gallery visits, and so on. In many European countries, for example, the historic areas have cobblestone streets, and sneakers give that extra stability.
I so agree, for sightseeing nice trainers are essential. Sore feet just ruin your day and I think they can look more youthful than certain sandals.

I hadn’t considered the types of sandals typically associated with “old.” Of course there are some folks who must wear certain styles because of issues with their feet, but for those of us who are fortunate not to have to be concerned about that, classy clean sneakers are infinitely better for walking for hours at a time than a “stylish” sandal. I save sandals for times when I can sit down for a meal, or on a park bench, and don’t have to walk much. (Flip flops for a sandy beach, and some more supportive waterproof sturdy sandals for a stony beach, especially in Europe.)
Yes I love my sneakers but on hot days my clarkes flipflops are just as comfortable and my feet aren't enclosed.
Thank you so much! I have not worn linen for 40 years, don't like wrinkles. But I have been modifying my summer work wardrobe to be more summery. I live in a hot climate for summer. I took the plunge and ordered a white linen blazer. It has not arrived, yet, but your tips will help a lot!

I like linen but being shorter find that creasing shows more and looks sloppy, and oversize drowns me. I am experimenting with spray starch in the hopes of keeping some fabric structure longer.
I believe "finishing spray" is lighter than spray starch - Niagra makes it - not sure who else
I did this and found it altered the flow of the fabric and still creased anyway.
@@carolynnilsen9270 - then may i suggest you buy a lighter linen and higher quality that tends to not hold creases as much (in my experience) - or simply embrace that linen wrinkles !!!! 🥰

I bought linen pants last year and thought I might regret it thinking they’d be out of style by now. So glad they aren’t! And you’re right. Who cares about the wrinkles, it’s part of their charm.
Cotton gauze is too hot for me as well and I don't buy it anymore. I'm good with linen though.
There are different qualities and weight of linen that you may like to explore - from here in Central Florida 🙂
