  • In this video, I reviewed a budget MUSTOOL G1200 (12 Meg-pixel) digital microscope. I was quite impressed by the image quality and the wide focusing range it offers considering the price. It is current on sale at: ban.ggood.vip/Yrfq
You can check out the links below for other electronics that are currently on sale at Banggood: bit.ly/3yuNQVa

The real time video is probably the most useful feature when compared to other low end usb scopes.

Gadgetreboot did a modification of one of these where you could raise it twice as high and he added an electric motor.

Doesn't happen to have HDMI out, right? Do you know of anything worth the money in this price range that does?

    • @CornelisJoh
      @CornelisJoh Před 2 lety +1

It does not have HDMI out, but you can connect the microscope to your PC with the USB cable, and display the image taken by the microscope in the Windows 10 Camera app.

Ok, so if a high-end digital microscope like this is (almost) a necessity in your work. Please tell me what is an ABSOLUTE necessity in your work?

Technically not a Microscope, but a *stereo-scope* . Microscope-specimens are lit from below and need a transparent mounted speciment -a *Slide*. Stereo-scopes speciment are of solid nature, not mounted and are lit from top

i bought it g1200 , and used it for a month , and i regret it , the image quality is very bad , it never gives good balance between light and dark areas , the light is refleced directly to the camera when working with cicuit boards or electronics repairs , cannot see the parts clearly and the colors is not clear too , cannot tell if there is some thing dicolored or burned ,
and after a month or so of usage , it died , it doesnt turn on , i opened it and tested the board , i found the circuit board to be shorting on the power area next to the charger port , and its poor design seems to have failed in short time because it generates lots of heat while it doesnt have and proper cooling ,
its one of the worst microscopes in the market and no matter what price you pay for it , doesnt worth it
never buy this model , you will end up throwing it in trash

@@brucekowalski3763 i suggest you invest in a high quality microscope , if you do maintenance regularly , its worth it , since you will be using it for many years to come ,
i use optical lab mixroscope , i found used one in a shop

@@mr2000jp I am not a professional. I need magnification probably like 5 times a year. And since I don’t have a microscope, those gadgets/PCBs that need repairing end up collecting dust and at the end i buy new gadgets and throw the old ones away. So, 50-dollar microscope is actually already expensive for me. But sometimes those gadgets are too expensive to throw away. That’s why I thought this microscope would be ok for me.

      @@brucekowalski3763 i see ,
so its just for little use , there is many options you can use , that doesnt cost much , big magnifier glass with a stand can cost about $10 can do the job , or you can buy a cheap digital microscope that works , and doesnt die in a matter of few hours of work , my friend bought TOMLOV dm201 ,
its a chinese cheap one but it works , and it have descent quality image

@@mr2000jp I already have a big magnifier glass with a stand and it is useless for me because i already have good eyesight but I need something for smd soldering. Of course TOMLOV dm201 is to expensive for me. So I was wondering if g1200 would be ok for smd soldering 5 times a year?
