    More info about G1200:
    Hello dear friends,
    Here is the MUSTOOL team.
This time, we released a new microscope--G1200.
We summarized several shortcomings of the G600 microscope: the screen is small, the bracket cannot be rotated, and the resolution is not high enough.Upgraded based on this , the G1200 was developed.
It has a 7-inch HD LCD Screen, the bracket can be rotated at any angle forward and backward to suit your needs, while the lens supports 1-1200X continuous zoom.We believe that it can definitely be a good helper for your daily work.
    Features:
    1: Pixel: HD 12 megapixel
2: Display screen: 7-inch HD LCD display.
    3: Magnification: 1-1200 × continuous amplification system.
4: Distance between object: 10MM to infinity (different distances correspond to different multiples)
5: Built-in ultra-lithium battery, the battery can work continuously for 4-5 hours (when not on video recording working condition)
6: Sixteen language systems: English, Spanish, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Hebrew, Portugal, German, French, Italy, Turkey, Czech, Poland, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese.
    Significant improvements:
    Advantage 1:
Vertical microscopes(G600) have an serious drawback : it is easy to lose sight of the details of the objects due to reflection.Because they are used in many applications such as solder on PCBs, model designation of some tiny chips and metals which requires distinct sight of the details of the objects.
The G1200 specifically solve this issue. It is an angle-adjustable digital microscope that solves the problem of high reflection. It's a great experience in the electronics maintenance industry, and it's important to note that this machine has a large operable space than the others. It is very convenient to use tweezers, electric soldering iron and others under this microscope
    Advantage 2:
Most other microscopes are two-gear magnification, either too large or too small. It's hard to find the suitable view.
This is a digital microscope with continuous zoom, and it has a wide range of viewing options compared to other microscopes, ranging from 1 to 1200 times magnification, and always finding a suitable multiple for you.
English language was always pain in the a** for me, I respect every correction, but please be gentle
    Thanks for watching.

I'm actually interested in a microscope with the least magnification level to read bills and checks, so your review where you actually took the time to measure the least magnification level is the best review I've seen so far. So many reviews car only about the maximum magnification, and I don't care about that because it's unusable for anything including soldering. I want to know the minimum magnification on these and how well they light and resolve the image.

  • @tomrhardwick
    @tomrhardwick Před 3 lety +6

Interesting review, thank you. My tests show that the sensor is 2mp tops, and increasing the resolution in the menu (up to a ludicrous 12 mp) does nothing except
    a) make you feel happier,
and b) uses up a lot more SD card space. The crude interpolation actually DESTROYS resolution at anything over 5mp, so beware. Nice machine for the price though.

Thanks for the great review, especially taking the trouble to measure the magnification. I have just bought one of these for home workshop use and the level of magnification is ideal for that purpose. Like you, I can't imagine why they think they can advertise it as 1200x magnification. It's just a blatant lie. Anyway, it seems to work well for my purposes.

Thank you very much, this is one of the best YT video reviews of this microscope thus far. I've recently purchased one for home lab use, and I'm hoping it has a hidden menu to adjust things like screen color/gamma etc. I also ordered a Micro SD to SD card converter and extension cable, which should eliminate what others have complained about regarding difficult card removal. Also, there are some reports that if connected to a PC running Windows 10 via USB, it can browse the SD card storage and use the camera (detected as a webcam). Curious if the author has tried that yet.

LOL.....once you view something with this microscope you won't jam a loupe in your eye socket again.....I have a 10X loupe I used for tool point viewing in my last employment.......attempting to solder a small component means you practically burn your nose of with a loupe......the 3D effect with the screen at an angle does give you a huge perspective advantage.

Thanks for sharing! I just bought one of these to look at tiny animals with students. I'm worried the magnification is not powerful enough because they lied about magnification.

Yes that's why i measure caliper under and get the result 100x max, i really don't understand where they got 1200x magnification, same as batter on battery toolls wich show 90 or more volts, but they are much or less 18v...

@@TinC33 Because they calculate the magnification squared. For example, a 5x5 area fits 1000 times into a 500x500 image. Thus, the aspect ratios are only 100 times, but the area is 1000 times the original.
After all, it doesn’t matter which one the manufacturer writes, but it sounds better and easier to sell.

the cheapest G1200 you can but beware if you need a battery as some come
without but its unlikely you will need this feature unless your buying
for a child, you can connect to a pc by throwing away the power only
micro usb cable that come with the G1200 and using a proper micro usb
data cable. Picture is amazing and perfect for solder work

i bought it , and used it for a month , and i regret it , the image quality is very bad , it never gives good balance between light and dark areas , the light is refleced directly to the camera when working with cicuit boards or electronics repairs , cannot see the parts clearly and the colors is not clear too , cannot tell if there is some thing dicolored or burned ,
and after a month or so of usage , it died , it doesnt turn on , i opened it and tested the board , i found the circuit board to be shorting on the power area next to the charger port , and its poor design seems to have failed in short time because it generates lots of heat while it doesnt have and proper cooling ,
its one of the worst microscopes in the market and no matter what price you pay for it , doesnt worth it
never buy this model , you will end up throwing it in trash

I have had a similar experience. mine would not turn on either. on the day before it died I plugged it into my laptop and a message came onto the screen saying a USB device plugged into this pc is demanding more power than this port can give. I am not qualified to test the board, I wish I could, anyway i would need the microscope to view the SMD components on it, catch 22. I suspected that the battery was at fault so I removed it and now the microscope works again. I would be very interested to know which component you found shorted so I can have a look at that area and possibly replace that component with one of quality and maybe install a fan above it by printing some sort of holder on my 3D printer. The build quality of the microscope is rubbish. when i first got it the lens holder fell apart and i had to glue it permanently into the body of the unit.

i have a huge Telescope , computer operated runs on 12V and i plug it to 20V it explodes , but ive repaired it of course because it costs 2000$. Next time i plug it in on -20V so reversed voltage and again it explodes , and again i repair it , next time i burn up the Remote for it that also runs on 12V i plugged it to -12V , that i didnt repair for i dont need it any more made my own remote .
And this guy blows up his microscope with 4V and buys another one for he cant repair for shit .
Man , leave that resistor alone you gonn' brake something :)
