When I listened to this song for the first time, truth be told I didn't like it at all, but much later I realised how beautiful it was. It proved like good wine that simply gets better and better with time. Now I do think this song is doomed to become classic some day.

У мене є знайомий росіянин з-під Києва, який терпіти не може Джамалу. І терпіти він її не може ще з тих часів, коли вона ще не була Джамалою, а була випускницею консерваторії Сусанною Джамалдиновою і співала Glorify thy name разом з хором КПІ. Вона там справді трохи "випендрювалась", а він такий стиль категорично не сприймає. Як вона категорично не сподобалась йому тоді, так не подобається і досі. Так що навіть якщо хейтером є росіянин, зовсім не факт, що справа тут у політиці.
