    First off great videos and a wealth of knowledge! I do have a question, my son is a HS Junior playing safety. He starts on JV and is a backup to a senior safety on Varsity. Here is my question, should we upload his JV highlights or stick to only Varsity? Thank you for your time reading this. Robert.

      Make the JV film. If nothing else, you get practice making the film and you can show his progress through the years.

    I’m 6’2 180 QB going into junior year. There’s a starting QB that’s a senior that’s pretty damn good. It’s my first year ever playing QB, however I am pretty talented myself. I can rip the ball 55 yards downfield and have pretty good elusiveness. However, I need to work on a lot of little things. What are some tips I can improve fast? Keep in mind I go to a big school with a lot of attention in a D1 conference in the east. There’s a lot of highly ranked kids, the last team we versed had 7 ranked kids, including the number one player in the state. If things don’t pan out, worst case scenario, could I still get offers my senior year?

      Stick to it bro , I'm a senior and this was my first ever time playing football and during the summer and I was put at corner and they didn't really have any plans on playing me for the upcoming season and I switched to linebacker and after 5 - 6 games I ended up getting a starting spot and had multiple games with 10 + tackles now I have a offer from a local college where I live , anything is possible bro you can do it ‼️

    So I've played at the college level but without offers, basically a walk-on. Is it possible for me to obtain offers even after being out of the game for a bit and with no recent film, or would I need to try and walk on again?

    • @GridironStuds
      @GridironStuds  Před rokem

      Possible yes. Likely no. A school would have to see something to extend an offer to you. Without film, how will they really know what you are capable of. A school is only allowed to give out so many scholarships. They are like gold.

      You're still young so you may grow but you're a long way from ideal DL size. Perhaps you explore other positions you can play and at this age, you have time to develop the attributes needed for a new position choice.

      Thanks. So for reasons I’m not gonna go into I’ve been homeschooled most of my life. I’m a high school sophomore and I’m taking some online classes with a high school this year so I can play baseball with them in the spring. I wanted to play football this year but there were some hiccups when I was getting enrolled so I couldn’t. I’m fast and very athletic but I’m only about 5 4’ 110 (15 years old) There is a sports facility near me that I’m going to start working out/training in to put on a bunch of muscle and get in way better shape. So my questions would be
      1. If I only play football my junior and senior year do I even have a chance at getting offered? (Assuming I’m not a top player in the state or something, which is not gonna happen)
      2. Talent aside is it unrealistic to play baseball and football in college? I love both sports and wanna play them both for as long as possible
      3. How important are grades for non Ivy League colleges when they are looking into me?
      4. How much will my size decrease my chances of getting offered? (Even if I put on a lot of muscle)
      5. What’s a good target weight for my junior year? I’m fairly lean and muscular now but like I said only weigh about 110
      Thanks in advance for any sort of answers you have for me
