- Christian Bale is well-known for his role as Batman in the hit "The Dark Knight" franchise. He also won an Oscar for his role in the 2010 movie, "The Fighter." His new movie, "Hostiles," is a western drama set in 1892. It follows Army Capt. Joseph Blocker, played by Bale, on a journey to escort a dying Cheyenne war chief and his family back to their native land. Bale joins "CBS This Morning" to discuss the relevance of "Hostiles" today, and how he transformed his look to play the role of former Vice President Dick Cheney.

Weight, or more precisely body fat percentage, does make a difference to a person's physical appearance (face as well). A shaved head would also contribute greatly :) I like the new look because it's a change. I wonder what his next movie is.

I’m always supposed with how much higher the pitch of his voice is when he’s not doing an American accent. Most American characters of his seem to have quite a grumbly tone, I enjoy seeing him speak with so much tonal variation! Bale is amazing

Great Film I just saw Hostiles, I have seen hundreds of movies, but this was one of the best films I have seen in a long time. Really deep and well made. Even cried a little throughout and in the end of the movie.

Sad to say during this period I was going through a nasty divorce so I didn't even know about this movie. And being Native myself, I first thought the beginning was just some regular Indian/Cowboy movie, but as it went on I became hooked on it. So intense. You have to notice everything about it. It's like if you look away, you'll miss something. I'm watching it again, this time, alone, with no grandchildren or children around.
