happy Vaxis II release weekend! here's my interpretation of Comatose in drop D tuning. i'm playing a Gibson SG Standard (2008) going through an Axe-Fx II.
I enjoy how prominent the guitar sounds in your Coheed covers. You bring out many cool riffs and parts that sometimes get lost in the mix of the official songs. This and your cover of Vic the Butcher are two of my favorites!
Holy Shit dude. You're the guy. I remember watching your song by song cover streak way back when you were featured on Cobalt and Calcium. You were my inspiration to really grind and learn all those years ago. My man is back. Awesome. Great job dude. And thank you for all the entertainment all those years ago, and still now.
Have been watching theguitarmansam videos for 6 or 7 years now and you always get me out of guitar playing ruts and appreciate the coheed riffs even more. Thanks my man 🤘🏻
Such a fantastic cover! Of all the tunings interpretations and ways to play this song yours is my absolute favorite! I'll be studying this video for a while, this song is just too damn fun.
coheeds my fave band but their releases in recent years i appreciate more bc of ur executions, u make me appreciate the complexity of their guitar below all the overlying notes in the studio releases. thanks brother!! ur so amazing i am a total fangurl ur fingers are more than my life
yo sammy what you think of the album? its certainly a million times better of vaxis I which was real stinky. I do think the old rock music were used to them writing is kind of a thing of the past now alot of synth on the album but I still liked most of it.
@@gregorysheridan2015 oh sorry, when did you and Sam become the most trusted authority on Coheed? Literally can’t make a single case that Vaxis 1 “sucks.” If you don’t LIKE it that’s fine, but there’s literally not a single objective argument you could make to say the album “sucks.” Besides, if you dislike an album THAT MUCH. Maybe you’re not truly a fan of the band and should stop watching CZcams videos associated with them.
@@ScottXC91 here I can talk in objectives because I’m a musician and have produced my own music. The drum fills are a massive step down in terms of complexity and due to the album being overly produced to the point where most of the dynamics of the instruments are lost in the mix Zach mind as well just not been in the band. The vocals and lyrics are a step down due to Claudio not knowing what to write about anymore since his life is mostly stable these days so now the music is super focused on the comic series which used to be a background feature.
Damn how is Claud able to play that and sing... Crazy.
It’s insane right?
Especially the chorus strum pattern.
He wrote it and is veryyyyyyy gifted lol
Always great to see you! Been watching your videos for what seems like half of my life now.
Literally same lol.
This guy is a legend in the fandom lol. He had the clearest and best guitar covers for basically a decade
I thought it was just me haha glad to see others love this guy, he deserves it
Keep coming back to your version of especially this song.. love it.. wish you the best
Are you single lol

My guys is back! I've been jealous of that white SG for years now

New to the comments, but this dude kills it, keep em coming!
Gotta learn this one, looks and sounds like a blast to play
you're back! :)
Subscribing solely because of the happiness I see on your face when you hit those riffs. That's what Coheed is all about!
I feel like I've been watching this guy shred for forever now. Still remember the Neverender Project videos he did, and still killing it to this day
Hey glad to see you're still uploading. This new album kicks ass

The riffs in this song are sooooo juicy man. Great cover!
Dude, I just love your work. Totally hoped for covers since there is a new record. Keep it up! Hope you'll cover them all :)
Wow I'm glad I searched for a comatose tab. This was awesome. Also fun to see how much fun you have playing it. Coheed is amazing.

Already putting the covers out?? We like to see it
your covers are so good!!!!🔥🔥🔥
It’s actually unbelievable you don’t have more subs after all this time of amazing content! You deserve so much more!
Didn't really like this song until I heard this. Nice work.

The 🐐of Coheed covers
Man, really love your tone for this. Would you be able to share or give a quick rundown of your Axe FX setting?
Wow I wouldn’t have noticed the guitar drops in the second verse thanks for that notice lol
Nice job 👏
ya nail the covers bud, would love it if ya did tutorials too! like how you did domino
Niceee like always. How are the effetcs do you use?
Who knew Rhystic Studies could play guitar? I sure didn’t!!
Fuck yeah buddy!
Great job! How’re you liking the new album so far?
thanks! i love this album - ladders is my favorite kind of Coheed, but the middle section with more synth-forward tracks are really beautiful songs.
@@Theguitarmansam Ladders is incredible and hoping for it, Love Murder One, and A Disappearing Act on this upcoming tour!
Please do badman!
Dude, what tuning is this in?
You got tabs for that bad boy mate?

𝕡𝕣𝕠𝕞𝕠𝕤𝕞 👌
Better than Vaxis 1? Yep..... but waaaaaay different. I thought at 1 point I had found my way to the next EDM club...not a bad thing though.

You think Vaxis I was a bad album? I'm sorry, but that's just flat out wrong. I'm revoking your Coheed card.
@@ScottXC91 oh it was like the worst shit ever hahaha even Sam has talked about it too that vaxis 1 was probably the worst album yet!
