    I almost bought The Drunk Elephant Polypeptide Cream last night thank god I waited. Your channel is so informative on skincare. Thank you for clarifying what certain ingredients are useful for and what products don’t go together. Tirena Wiles same! I was gearing up to buy Protini too. I just found out that DE packaging isn’t recyclable so I didn’t want to pull the trigger. So glad I don’t have to. 👍🏼

      If you have dry skin, definitely Acure cream can works. I have combo skin, more to the oily side and I breakout so badly when use the Acure. In addition, the texture is very different. Protini has a gel-like texture that acne prone or combo/oily skin appreciates. My recommendation is to try both and have if you can deal with the Acure one you will be so lucky. I prefer the Protini by far. It’s one of the few products that I pay for it without any hesitation.
      Good luck with Acure!

      Wanda Calcaño I cant use the Acure, I spotted that it has coconut oil. 😔 I was getting ready to splurge for a couple DE products and realized their packaging isn’t recyclable. So, I’ll go back to using my old peptides.

      It's never smart to go by the reviews of a single person-she's also not a scientist or a doctor. There are a great many reputable doctors and websites that highly recommend Drunken Elephant based on the science and not anecdotal evidence. The first site that comes to mind bases it's reviews on science-the ingredients in the produce vs people's opinions.
      It's called beaupedia.com

    • @Wouldntyouliketoknow1111
      @Wouldntyouliketoknow1111 Před 4 lety +7

      Christina McKenna it’s called Drunk Elephant and beautypedia.com Also, beautypedia.com is very biased. We’re all very well versed on skincare and ingredients. This video was a dupes video. That is a video to tell people about products that are nearly identical, but much more affordable.

    I love how you breakdown the ingredients, and give the purpose of each, how they work, and work together. Thanks for giving us the less expensive and sometimes better alternatives. You are awesome! And so motivating!
    I am not liking hydroquinone, it is very irritating for me but the tranax ingredients have it all, so this will be my next purchase for the hyperpigmentation. I love the laniege products! Good find on the dupes! I feel the same way about the lip sleeping mask, it feels like it did nothing after I take it off. The petrolatum in the dupe probably helps make the lips feel more hydrated after it is removed.
    Question: have you found a good dupe for la mer products? I will be searching your past videos to see if you have addressed this! Also, is there any sunscreen product that absolutely does not pill? I dont like the tinted sunscreens, they look horrible with my oily skin, the white cast of other products seem to make me look better, I have very very light skin and dark hair - I always end up having to get the lightest foundations, concealers and powders or i look ridiculous!
    As far as under eye puffiness, the small nuface device really takes care of that - but it must be used every day. I dont mind because it works!
    ELF, NYX and Pixi products are a wonderful, inexpensive and effective alternative to most anything out there! So easy to find, and they dont break the bank!

      mamaboo cee which model of nuface you use for sagging eyes

    • @mamaboocee
      @mamaboocee Před 4 lety

      @@Marniiita there are two you can use, one is the nuface that has interchangeable attachments - purchase separately or in one pack.
      see pictures here with eye attachment: www.mynuface.com/products/nuface-trinity-ele-gift-set
      the one attachment that looks like antenna (pictured) - that is the one that works for saggy eyes in the long term. The other "big ball" attachment will work (especiallyfor sagging jaw line), but may be too large for eye area.
      and the other nuface tool see here:
      www.mynuface.com/products/fix
      is the little stand alone model that has like two stainless steel balls on the tip. It is small and portable. That one works so well, I could not believe it but the effect only lasts a day at most (6-8 hours). It is small enough to throw in your pocketbook for touch ups. Use it for eye area and lines around the mouth.
      I would say if money is an issue, get the smaller one, but if you can get the big nuface, go for it if you can soon the time every day being consistent. Let me know how it goes. There are a few youtubers who show how they use it - I think Penny has a video, and if not, check out youtuber HotandFlashy, I think she might have used it, too.

I never look at the e-mails as I come to youtube every day and go down my list to see who has new videos. I started noticing Elta MD pilling too. One that I love that sits well underneath makeup by them is SPF 40 I think but the second ingredient is petroleum, which shocked me. I don’t think I would have tried it had I known but my daughter bought me the wrong one and I like it better than the clear.

    Penny, you put out such excellent videos! I bet the overpriced skin care companies hate you, but we love that you do the research to find us products that do the trick without breaking the bank. I recently added The Inkey List Tranexamic Acid to my skin care routine as hypigmentation is the biggest enemy that I battle against. (I also use Vitamin C, Alpha Arbutin with Kojic Acid, Azelaic Acid, Niacinamide and Retinaldehyde) I am definitely going to look into the Dearskin Tranex when I run out of the Inkey List. FYI, you can get the 20g jars of the Laneige lip sleeping mask in 4 different flavors from Yesstyle for $14.32 which is where I got mine. They actually have a lot of the Asian skincare brands.

    I recently purchased Squalene and it absolutely does not sink into my skin. I moved it from face to neck which seems to work.
    Never understood the Laneigh hype. I do have it but really do not think it does anything. I refuse to waste products so I am going through it but will not repurchase. Sometimes, we get caught up in the YT hype.
    Thanks for everything you research for us.

    Hi Penny! Thanks so much for your videos. You have quickly become my new favorite CZcamsr!
    Question: Do you have thoughts on the StackedSkincare EGF serum? I recently purchased the Dr. Pen and this EGF serum and wondering whether it is safe to needle in.
    Also, I bought the Cos De Baha HA you recommended, but now I’m hearing a lot of buzz about forthcoming studies suggesting that HA is bad for the skin long term because your skin becomes dependent on it and ceases to produce its own moisture, so I’m hesitant to use the HA when needling. Would love your take on this!
