- This is my friends Traxxas E-Maxx. He has upgraded many things. Integy Suspension, FLM A-Arms, steel traxxas axles, steel traxxas dive shafts, FLM shock towers, dual velenion 3500 motors, and 2S lipo batteries. Top Speed was 36.7 Km/h which equals 22.8 mph. Very smooth and clean sounding, no gear mesh sound or anything, LOL!!! It sounds like a well-built machine to me!!
Years ago i had an E-Maxx with the dual Titan motors and a 2 speed transmission. This looked like what my old one did in 1st gear. I believe in 2nd gear the old E-Maxx did around 50Km/h. I ordered my first X-Maxx today and still am curious as to why they no longer come with a functional gearbox. Should be a bit faster than this though ^^

All these comments about top speed but there's more to it than speed alone.
When I run mine on 2200kv and 4s or 3300ks and 3s it's already so fast that it's hard to do general bashing around car parks etc. It gets even worse when you go onto 6s. It just wants to turn upside down at the soonest opportunity be it traction rolling, backflipping or forward flipping from breaking.
I know it's nice to have top speed when you're on dirt or grass or the beach etc, the more open the space the more you appreciate it but sometimes it's nice to have a lower top speed but not have to worry about being careful with the thottle. If you haven't got loads of room or you're on a high traction surface like tarmac it's nice to be able to just go crazy knowing the chassis will be able to handle it without flipping or cartwheeling.
I know guys who can get 80+mph but they have to be so careful on tarmac/concrete etc that they are essentially limited to making continuous straight line passes. When you're slowing down from 80 it's hard to make a corner even at 10mph because the chasiss is still loaded up with all that kinetic energy.
It's like in a real car, if you hit the brakes at 70 you have a lot more force when you get to 20 than if you just hit the brakes at 20.
Sometimes less top speed is a good thing.
I run 6s all the time in my emaxx 3906... I have no problem on low throttle... I actually do crawl with it too and still do 60 in the dirt with its original tires.
FDMAN ....those words almost seem wasted. Its a shame to because,as they say,truer words were never spoken. You are correct. Crawler type myself and acutely aware of slow being fast and fast being slow. Good call.

with all that extra torque, you can gear up aloooot, this is just plain sad, twin motors and less speed than a single motor setup, put a 22t pinion or so. you are waaaaaaay undergeared even for a single motor.
I thought it was going slower than usual man my E Maxx has the stock Titan motors and it rips f****** assholys hehehe.

rpm skid plates is a MUST. these cars brake like plywood around the chassis mounting and the skids original themselves.
You need some bigger pinions. I've geared mine to hell and it still has too much torque. I thought that the gearing would tune down the torque but I still manage to do wheelies at 30. That and you have 2 motors, taller gears would make this thing very fast.
I think if you had geared this up it would have been faster. You can see how much torque both these motors give
The emaxx brushed does 30+ stock. Not much of a increase for the amount of work you did
It has no top speed gain, the motors spin at the same speed regardless if there are 2 or 1. Its all about the torque.
Ramp up the gearing
With 6s you can't even hold it without it flying out of your hands, I couldn't believe the difference, also break a lot of stuff though.

I mean I just got a Traxxas e-maxx brushed it has that stock Titan motors and man does it run freaking fast. Is there a reason you're it's going slower?? Great vid bro ! Take it eeesie homes!! It looks like it is stuck in 1st gear if it's a 2speed or a later conversion, that thing should be moving like crazy. I did a t-maxx electric conversion with a vxl-3s combo and I couldn't get it to stay off of its back.
This would flip from a stop, but the driver didn't want to do that so he usually was at half throttle.
not sure how fast that said but man I just have one 3900kv motor one 11.1 volt battery pack and my truck hauls ass

The speed looks like the standard single brushed.. I have an E Maxx with the Castle and Mamba Monster and it gets it! Glides right over water.
It for sure is. This only adds torque.
Just a heads up to any who hop up their RC - Integy is not an upgrade.

if you are running dual esc and motor and they are heating up then something is wrong, they power of both running together shoud lighten the load and make itt run way cooler, you might have one weak esc or motor and its over working the other.
jacob portillo most likely different model vxl3s. The origanal was built for the 2 pole motor the next gen current Vxl ) is revamped for 4 pole motors. To do this mod successfully you need IDENTICAL ESC AND MOTORS. if not then nothin is in sink. Look up a dude named jetlag2222. he explains exactly what' you are seeing here. When done correctly this set up is very good. Plus it's completely water proof.

It sounds like the motors are under a hell of stress. Are your motors out of sync? If so you can blow a motor.

This thing could be way faster i did a dual brushless set up on a summit and geared it way up and the thing is ridiculously fast. I can barely keep it on the ground and when i do it roasts the tires off. Very sad to see such a pretty truck set up so shitty

He never gives it full throttle, he has mangled the pinion gear once and the diff once from doing it. It can't handle the torque of the new motors compared to the stock ones.
My rustler vxl does 40+ with a 6 cell nimh lol

porkercon he is doing something wrong then. should not be melting esc I run my revo on 6s all day geared to the moon and the esc doesn't melt.
I think it ended up being a defective motor. They kept sending ESCs under warranty but it was the motor that was the problem.

@@rpr-wooli8320 made my 2wd rustler 4wd by extending the chassis with a piece of aluminum, and attaching another rear suspension and gearbox assembly, got a esc that can run dual motors, got 2 pieces of threaded rod and used those to stop the entire thing from being floppy by drilling 2 holes in both rear shock towers and put the threaded rod through the holes (front to back) to make an x, 4 nuts on each rod- in this pattern- nut, shock tower, nut, nut, shock tower, nut- tighten all nuts so they pinch the shock towers. get your 2 desired motors and get them hooked up and you must use the same gearing on both gearboxes. ill make a video about it eventually or you could buy a kit from me for 30$ USD

What a waste of upgrades! You would have been better off getting Castle Creations 1/8th setup running on 4 - 6 cells getting 10x the speed for a fraction of the cost!
Ya it costs so much to take the second motor out of another RC car to try this out for a day. You know what costed me more? Buying a Castle Creations motor and have it continue to melt the ESC's it came with.
porkercon castle 1/8th setup is still cheaper. If you run the 8th motor on 10th scale esc well no shit your going to keep blowing the shit up.
