      Yeah when I first got my Emaxx several years ago I pulled it out of the box, slapped to 3s lipos in it and fired it up, from a dead stop I gunned the throttle up into a wheelie and immediately shredded the two rear drive shafts, lol, so I had to go back to the hobby shop the next day and buy replacements before I could really give it a proper maiden run, over time I broke several more just driving like a maniac lol, so much fun, I still have it, man that truck is a beast 🤙

  • @calebsrccrawlers
    @calebsrccrawlers Před 3 lety +1

    Nice E-Maxx my guess is it probably has the plastic driveshafts for cost maybe, trying to keep it at that price point, what's the fastest you've ever driven it? I called my local hobby store, about my helicopter, it's tail servo has been reversed and it's got a gyro issue.

    • @rcreviews9894
      @rcreviews9894  Před 3 lety +1

      Well this truck back in the day cost about 600 dollars, that’s pretty pricey for plastic drive shafts, most Arrmas in that price range come stock with metal drive shafts and big aluminum shocks, I haven’t been able to speed test it yet, but eye balling it, it’s gotta be going 50mph at least, that’s strange, how in the world did that happen? Did they know how to fix it? I usually call Horizon when I have an issue, to be honest I don’t really work on helis that much, not like I do my Rc trucks, I know basic maintenance and some problem solving but completely rebuilding a heli lol forget it lol

    • @calebsrccrawlers
      @calebsrccrawlers Před 3 lety +1

      @@rcreviews9894 for 600$ it better have metal drive shafts that was a pretty pricey truck, 600$ and it has plastic drive shafts, that's a WTF moment, ha ha ha. And 50mph that's pretty fast, I had the tail pitch controller break so I only had control over one of the tail blades and I wanted to see if it would fly being able to only control one of the tail blades, it worked but not that good. So I epoxied the part, made sure the bearings moved freely which they did and went flying, and I flew it till the epoxy letgo, and I was ok I can still hold a hover only being able to control one of the tail rotor blades and I only had like minute left on the battery so after that I was done for the day and I took it out the next day only being able to control one of the tail rotor blades and this time it didn't go so well. The second I spooled up the rotor blades the tail started spinning out of control. The piece that broke is the pitch slider that sits one the tail rotor shaft it has the two arms on it that connect to the ball links on the tail rotor blade. One of the ball link arms broke on the pitch slider which is how I still had control over one of the tail rotor blades, I only did it to see if it would work and I got over confident with the broken part. I probably should've stopped flying when it broke the second time. I gonna try to bring the helicopter in tomorrow to my local hobby store. I was gonna do a flying video with my helicopter too and now that's gonna have to wait a little while, ha ha.

      @rcreviews9894  Před 3 lety

      @@calebsrccrawlers yeah remember I told you to check those links on the tail, be careful man, the last thing you want is that thing to get out of control on you with those carbon fiber blades, I’m looking at mine right now and I know exactly what part you are talking about, sounds like that would be a easy fix, all you need are the parts, hopefully you get it up and running soon

    • @calebsrccrawlers
      @calebsrccrawlers Před 3 lety +1

      @@rcreviews9894 you were right, It broke in a hard landing when I had to immedeatletey land before a gust of probably a 20 mph wind did something, even worse the wind wasn't that bad when I got to flying field and towards the end of the last battery pack it started to pick up, it was a very easy fix but the gyro and the servo uhhh,. Ha ha ha that's something I can't fix because I don't have a computer radio to fix that. I would've called horizon hobby but It was easier to call my local hobby store, when I do the flight video I'm also gonna do a review as well. My blade 120s2 has a wonky throttle response after a couple crashes, so I'm taking that one in to the hobby store as well. I also need a new tail boom for it.
