Congratulations to you and your wife MM!! Your child is going to be lucky to have you as a snowboard instructor!
Haha, thanks!
Congratulations on the new baby!
Congratulations @Malcom Moore on the big thing in your life!
Re. the video - I'm the guy at the very end. It's a proper shame to see myself doing so much skidding (I authorised Malcolm to use the footage, of course). But on the other hand I would have never corrected that if I didn't start recording the way I ride: I had control, I had speed, why would I bother... And now I know why I would :-). The good thing is that the correction process didn't take long - I filmed this on my second day, looked at the footage, immediately noticed the problem and spent the remaining 4 days correcting that based on Malcolm's YT tutorials (don't have further footage as I wasn't using the Insta360 during the correction process - Insta 360 does impact the posture, as you don't properly move your shoulder and also I "played it safe" while filming i.e. I kept on reverting to bad, but safe habits). The results were immediate so at the end of the day THANK YOU Malcolm for posting your YT videos and helping us correct our bad riding.
Love this video analyzing other snowboarders, please make more like this!
Will do! Thanks for the support 🙏😊
Congratulations Malcolm! A new student to teach snowboarding to!
OMG! Congrats on the baby! So happy for you guys
congratulations on the baby ❤
Congratulations to your baby. It would be great if you offered this type of analysis for people who send you a video of themselves, for a fee of course. Similar to what some of the online sports coaches offer. It would instantly expand your business world wide. Might also drive you crazy, who knows. 😅 I’ve been enjoying your content for years, keep up the great work.
Thanks, and yeah I've done a bit of that in the past, but may well do some more, to be honest I don't really get much time for it in the winter though!
May God bless you as a husband and father. Solid content and I appreciate your work on the mountain.
Great information and very helpful thank you. Congratulations on your new addition the birth and having a son was the best gift in life I have ever had apart from meeting my wife 😂 All the best Malcolm
Congrats on the baby! Have the same camera- that + your in depth videos really helped me accelerate my riding on my first season. Ended it by riding blues comfortably!
Awesome, and thanks!
I got an X3 after your review video - very much a beginner on the slopes, so to keep my arms free I stuck it into my backpack and strapped it in, stick not quite at full extension so it was protruding a bit above my head, ended up with some pretty cool over-the-shoulder footage, almost like the "fake drone" effect Insta360 suggest with the extra long stick.
Gratz on baby!
Awesome video on how to film and analyze riding! Thank you!
Congrats on the baby! Love the content, I think u put out the best snowboard advice and coaching on yt.. keep it up. From DJ in tahoe
Dancehaul party yay!!!
👊
I was going to say that. I bought the Dancehaul last year based on Malcolm's recommendation. I'm enjoying it, I'm riding much better too as I'm properly sized now and given it's wider than my previous board, it's a less forgiving of my bad habits and forced me to change my riding and now I'm much better, more in control and more confidence going faster.
@@choyMM Lovely to hear that mate! Soon we'll maybe see your videos made with INSTA 360 flying on the dancehaul ;)
@@mateuszkrause the only time you'll see a video of me snowboarding is probably on Jerry of the Day 😂
I've got the same issues as Thomas for my toe-to-heel transition. =/
congrats on the baby!
hi malcom, thanks for all the great tips, i have learnt a whole bunch of lessons from your video. May I suggest a topic for your upcoming video? Can you guide us through the binding setting (angle of the binding, and the distance between the two bindings), as well as the angle of the high back of the binding? Also, would love to hear about your views on the length of the board. I think if you can guide us on the setup of the binding and board for different types of ride and the difference level of the riders, it would be fantastic. Cheers!
amazingly useful video! Thanks for the effort!
So welcome ✌️☺️
Congrats to you and your wife. Thanks for they great Vid
Congrats dude, I appreciate your content, looking forward to some more this coming season. Enjoy the down time with the little one, it can be tough but so rewarding. Cheers.
Cheers man, been enjoying it for sure, back soon with more ✌️
awesome video as usual - I'm down for one of these cameras as soon as the Mrs allows me to get one.. Many congrats on the birth of your son. The world just got brighter.
Thankyou man, appreciate it! Hope you're having a good summer 🙌
Congrats to you and your wife!
Fantastic wealth of information! Great job.
congrats on the baby. Probably it’s already in your idea list, could you create videos about Ollie or Nollie some tricks to practice at the end of season? Thanks!
Great suggestion!
Great video Malcolm, I just picked one up ( x3) I’m spending a week at Mommoth mountain my birthday week in June. I just picked up a new Burton custom board and step. Ons. Can’t wait to use your tips to take my snowboarding to the next level. Still technically my 1st season on a snowboard so a lot to learn.
Awesome, yeah Mammoth looks amazing right now, enjoy it! 🙌
@@malcolmmoore thank you! And congratulations on the new addition to family. Perhaps one year I’ll take a visit to your area and get some snowboarding lessons or even rides some slopes with you! 👍🏽😎
bright side mate - now you've got TWO filmers!
Congrats, mate! 🤜🤛
Thanks man 🙌
Hey Malcolm, can you do a video about stance, stance angle and the different kind and shapes of board. As a new member to snowboarder, it would help me understand what changes I will be doing while riding differently.
Hey malcom, do you think you might make a review for the warca?
I used your affiliate link! Your content has seriously helped me improve. Wishing you and your new family the best.
Brilliant, thankyou, and enjoy the new camera!
What do you think about the dive case ? I just got this camera for Christmas and now just got the dive case for extra protection on the slopes. I realize w the case it can be positioned differently on the stick. Do you think that it should stay the way you had it mounted on top or should it be at a 90 degree angle with the stick ?
Hey Malcolm, as the season is starting to come to a close (in some parts of the world), I was just wondering if you had any advice on training, exercises routines, or flat ground snowboard drills to do over the summer months to develop a stronger platform for next season? Thanks again for making these amazing videos!
He has a video of how to stretch/train in summer! :)
Hey, what microphone do you use? I see the external microphone attached to your jacket, your audio is crystal clear..
Congrats brate! If there werent for you, I wouldnt be snowboarding :D
Hey mate, just wondering how you mic up for your videos using the insta x3?
🎉🎉🎉🎉 🥳 Congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
🤗🤗
Congratulations
This is awesome! What are you using for audio as you are riding?
A separate lav mic 👌
@@malcolmmoorewhich one? :)
Grazie ! Da Roma Italia 🇮🇹 .....sei er meglio !
Hi Malcolm, just got back from my first snowboarding trip, your videos really helped so thank you.
One thing I've noticed in a few of your videos is your snowboard typically comes to below your chin. All the lessons and at the snowboard hire shop they all say it should come to between your chin and your nose which is what ive been riding. As im 6'1 its typically an XXL board. What length of board do you recommend? Is the between your chin and nose length too long? What difference does it even make?
Width is more important to make sure your feet aren't hanging over. I ride alot of volume shifted boards, and ultimately the size of a board is more dependent on your weight than your height. Every board will have a spec sheet on their website where you can see what size you should be on for your weight. For rental boards they don't do this, so you night be on something not quite ideal for you, but to start with it shouldn't hamper your learning too much if at all, and then when you look to buy a board you can get it in the right size 👌
@@malcolmmoore Thank you for the response🙏. Hope I have the opportunity to get lessons from you in the future 🤞
Congrats on growing the family :)
So I missed my chance to get my video analysed? 😅
whats about holding the stick in the rear hand, a little bit behind you? so you can see where you are going and have yourself filmed!?
How much do the different camera "holds" interfere with your riding? Is it a burden? Does one mode work better for you? I am intrigued by these vids, but I have a 90s surfy style with my hands and wonder if the picture will swing all over the place. Also, does it have a leash? Thx
You can likely get a leash attachment, but to be honest I can't see it going very far and in the case of a fall I think it would be less likely to damage without one. The more stable you can get your arms, the smoother the shot, but it has good image stabilisation and it will get you in the shot regardless 👍
Doesn't holding the camera also have a negative influence on the way you are riding? Isn't there any accessory that we can we use to keep our hands free?
As always, great video Malcom!
There's those things that stick out of a backpack. Or the other thing called a buddy 😉
Hey mate, What invisble selfie stick are you using, which length? What length do you need it to be able to get the whole board in frame?
Also, if I ever come to Alp D'Huez do you do private lessons?
I think it's 110cm or so, and yes I do lessons, my website is in every video description 👍
@@malcolmmoore Nice one mate. We're off to Les Arcs and then Tignes this year but Alp D'Huez is a contender for next year.
Always a tough one to answer but when do you think is the best time of the season to visit?
@@t0gden12 when the snow is best
Is that an Insta360 selfie stick? It looks quite long.
Hi!! What mic are you using with the insta 360 x3?
A rode lav mic
Just used your link to get myself one. Hopefully it'll reflect on your end that the affiliate link was used. :)
Thanks !! Much appreciated 😊😊
Congrats on being a father!
Ahaa thanks 😊🫶
Hey Malcolm, Jones or CZcams told you something about your jacket which obliged you to hide the logo ?😮
Haha, when I'm teaching the logo for the skischool I work for sticks onto that velcro patch!
You didn't think you might need lens guards for this?
Congrats on the baby! Did it learn snowboarding before walking? 😂
Almost!
@@malcolmmoore Haha 🤣 btw, just plugging an idea given how awesome you explain concepts..
could you start recording how you teach your son the basics early on? My 5 year old wants to snowboard like me (got her into skiing) as I didn't feel ready to teach her snowboarding myself. I would love a structure/progression to follow with my kid, like they do with the ski classes
Great video. I find it best to leave all the gadgets away
Haha, yeah you're probably right!
Félicitations Malcom !. Will you be more serious ?. Just joking, I enjoy your video !
y
he was enjoying his ride. there is no need for technical insights, if you enjoy your ride.
Make sure you have camber.
Then do everything he says.
I can't believe your wife did that. Typical wives...
I know 🤷♂️
