I really like the ports available and smooth edges of the design. 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, 2 Thunderbolt 4 Type C ports, and an audio jack.
The CPU is good too. Intel i7 1360P gets a multi-core Geekbench 6 score around the low 10,000 (10,291 for mine). Single core score around 2,400 for a quick/snappy response for simple CPU tasks. Very good for programmers or those in finance/accounting/insurance industries working from home.
I agree. While it is much faster than i7-1355U - I still wish it was something more powerful like in desktops. Lenovo pro mini come with more powerful 5digit models
Buddy, how do u think will Samsung 980 Pro with heatsink fit?
I was researching before buying, and people said it won’t fit. And I think it won’t. So you can save some $ on that.
There is 990 PRO now. But people say it needs an update right away
So is WORK (D:) and DATA (E:) the same 4TB SSD just partitioned in half or am I seeing this incorrectly? Asking cause in your video you state you put in a 4TB SATA SSD but I don't see you putting a 3rd SSD in your system.
Yes. 2TB + the rest. I split it into 2
The first question you need to ask, is this worth $400 more than the others available.
$400 more?? I bought it almost a year ago for about $600 + ram + ssd = was close to $800.
You can’t buy dell, hp, lenovo mini computers at that price. Now it would be cheaper.
Most of noname brands are trash. They would be cheaper but would use noname brand ram, ssd, motherboard, power supply etc - it’s like buying fake snickers that gonna fall apart soon
Great video Aleg, Quick questions, Does it get noisy?, Does it get hot?
I would not say hot. After all it uses i7-1370P which is found in laptops ( much better than U versions but still).
But it does get fan noise sometimes, I use it for office work with several browsers open and dozens of tabs, and several basics apps running at the same time - it’s not all that much - so it rarely gets loaded. I don’t use any demanding programs. And it is like 3 FT away with speakers playing so it is not an issue for me
Use USB C to Display Port for your display. I believe the refresh rate on your monitor will got to 120. I tested one before and it did.
I ll try. I use 5120x1440. I believe Iris Xe Graphics does not support over 60 for such high resolution.
I wish I had this Intel Nuc with Ryzen 7 7000 series as they have better integrated graphics
Hi Aleg, I am expecting my box today, Wanted to check if you have had any issues with Gsill ram. I read some people having compatible issues with Corsair and Kindston Fury. and, was unable to get any answers. Once I purchase I wont be able to return the ram in my location. Your feedback will be very helpful. I am planning the same set up 16*2 on the intel nuc i5 1340p
No issues. I also have 2x8gb ddr3 in my 2012 desktop. Works fine.
Smart choice to put 32gb. While 16gb is somewhat enough. You never know how Windows gonna require in a few years
