A couple things that help: it’s hard to peel the tape from the backer if you cut it. If you tear one end of the strip before you stick it down, you’ll be able to see the tape and backer boundary and tease the two apart with the end of a box cutter blade. After sliding a foam panel up under the top rim of the garage, it’s hard to bend a panel at the bottom and push it in. But if you slide a dry wall knife (mine is 4”) under the bottom edge, then lift up on the knife, it’s easy. I had to move the knife about four times to install a 45” panel. Only took thirty seconds that way.
You can also take each bracket loose as you are installing and flip bracket over the insulation and tighten back….thats what I did and made a big difference…
For my installation I chose to use 3M high bond double sided foam tape and I also placed the product under the hinges for added security. Self tapping screws were also added.
What kind of soft tapper la did you use ? And instead of them is not better to use more double side tape everywhere instead to drill the metal structure ? Any ideas ? Tks
Ahhhh but you don't have to go from 108 to 40 degrees in one night. That's why it's feels so much worse. It's a large sudden drop. We don't get a fall to acclimate down and we don't get a real spring to acclimate up. Maybe a week or two at most. And then it's 108 or it's 40.
No! don't buy this product they keep falling off the tape didn't last the first summer. I would get panels installed if I was you. Usually HVAC or garage door company's can install them.

45 is not cold. In Wisconsin we get negative 20F.

Might as well service the garage door. Lubricate the hinges with silicone spray and the torsion springs as well.
