- A short guide for BPM: Bullets Per Minute going over 10 tips and tricks that I think newer or beginning players should know! With this advice, you should be on your way to getting your first victory run on practice mode and then easy, and start unlocking the secondary characters!

3 more tips, almost every room (I think I know of 1 exception) has some sort of room reward (not the clear reward) consisting of either a shrine, devil/angel altar, sword of Damocles, or triple chest. Usually paying one gold at each shrine throughout a run will result in either maxed, or almost maxed stats by the final boss fight. If you don't see a room reward, it's probably a shrine against an outer wall that you've just missed.
2, many rooms have upper sections that can also have awesome rewards. Keep an eye out for areas you can parkour or fly to to find extra chests, shrines, ect.
3, the first floor Huggin's shop has one of the previously mentioned upper areas. It can be reached by climbing a crumbled pillar on the right side of the room, then jumping onto the upwards sloping strut.

My advice to beginners would be to learn the enemies. Each enemy has a unique attack pattern and once you know what they do, it is pretty straightforward. The boss variants are a little annoying but otherwise bosses also function the same way! Great video my friend :)
Yeah, I absolutely agree with you on that. Take the time to learn the enemies that give you trouble and it makes the game a whole lot easier!
After some limited testing, it's come to my attention that the Asgard Crypts either have a VERY low chance to spawn in practice mode, or just can't appear in that difficulty altogether.
PS. The game is on sale for the duration of the steam summer sale! Now is a great time to jump in! Have fun!
1:50 - I bind the reload to the two buttons on the side of the mouse, and I bind dash to right click. I would definitely recommend for any player
Another tip is to check your corners when entering a room. I have died many times due to focusing immediately on the center mass of room enemies. But completely forget to check if an enemy is to my sides. I start circling and run right into them. Or get wall trapped.
Yes! That's a great tip, in pretty much all shooters, but this one in particular, it's important to identify ALL of the enemies in a room to decide how to proceed!
I have a better tip for dealing flyers and also effecient on preserving movement space. When you're dealing fliers you can just move few steps then stop and repeat with timing. Like example when the flyers about to shoot, move few steps to the right or left. It will save space and more effective on aiming. But there was a downside if the flyer was right behind you. Make sure keep the flyers are right in front of you. It will be difficult if you have short range. It will be much better if you have a longer ranged weapon. It will be hard at first, but with a bit of practice, it will be much better.

No problem my friend! I feel that lol, editing can be tough for sure, but it's definitely rewarding when it all comes together.
One more tip: one of the ultimates can convert your health into luck. So if you see a chance to replenish your health with spare health bottles or even buy them after you converted - do it. Also, you can abuse one of the armor set, that gives you 1 extra hit bar, that regenerates. Was lucky to have it on Asgard, then found that armor... and after that, I finished run with 12 round double barrel shotgun and maxed out stats, exept presicion (only 4 points).

Yeah! The crypts are pretty great because of that, though there is of course still the tradeoff that the enemies are pretty spooky compared to asgard 2.
I would ignore challenge rooms completely as beginner. And as he said, stay on practice mode and don't give up.
My Tip: Unless you're really geared out or desperate, avoid the rooms with the Level that spawn enemies. A lot of the time I've had these rooms spawn enemies from later Levels and are much harder to handle from the early gear you have and have ended MANY of my runs

okay, I will totally switch to practice mode, because I suck pretty hard at this game^^
i got the on-beat mechanic down quickly since i play rhythm games, it felt pretty smooth after about 10-20 minutes of practice. shooting, reloading, jumping on double-time, etc. also i intuitively focus on the flies after noticing how much range they have. however, i somehow still manage to get hit by their projectiles if i'm in a room that doesn't have pillars to play around.
any tips for dodging or better positioning? i do try to keep strafing and circling and jumping (jumping alone helped me dodge a good amount) but sometimes you just get into a bad spot like an fps equivalent of a chess game
Yeah I know what you mean! I guess the other important thing I didn't mention is to not corner yourself. If you're doing circular strafing you should theoretically be able to always dodge the flies' attacks.. But in practice you will get hit now and then :(
@@SchwingyGaming i think there's just a lot going on, so I have trouble guessing when they'll fire or how close the projectile is to me. plus bad situational awareness at times
but more than anything it feels like my character isn't fast enough to dodge, no matter my movement, hence i wondered if it was a positioning issue

Basically you shoot when the arrows line up with the diamond surrounding the crosshair. As for the big vs small arrows, that depends on the gun you're using!

Love the game and everything its amazing.. but they for real pick up the blueprints of paragon?
If by blueprints, you mean some of the models used, then yes! I believe there are comparison videos out there you could watch if you're interested.
All Paragon assets are now public property, which means litterally every game can have free models and animations they can use. BPM is just the most obvious but a lot of other games served themselves as well .
stuck on vanaheim 2nd boss guess I need to spend more time in practice mode
She's the hardest boss in the game pretty much! Practice practice!
are there any tips on abilities etc?
i recently broke my 300 loosing streak by first victory and still do not feel good grasp on abilities (some like lay creep, summon explosive barbell, throw a coin mistily me entirely).
not beginner tips just observations of someone who played 38 hours and just over 300 runs, nearly all of them failed):
Oddly enough i've found that damage > absolutely everything else (accuracy, range, spread),
Minigun + infinite ammo,(actually no reload i think) explosive shots is NOT the best thing ever strangely my first win was with rifle (the 6 shot one not single bullet type),
i find Göll's starting weapon to be pretty decent but probably should not be your first character, there was someone with 4 bullet starting gun thats packing more of a punch.
invest in Huggin's relationship as much as you can until he starts giving you free item - free HP saved many of my runs,
vamp HP is not necessarily good on its own but if you can get item hat increases your healing effect too than you are probably on route to success,
it FEELs like the longer i stay in each level the harder time i have clearing out, there MAY be some form of time based difficulity creep - probably not worth to sweep all rooms?
How do I fly with flying boots? I pressed evry button in my keyboard and nothing happened
The boots just let you do a super jump, you have to press the little button next to the boots in your inventory. Off the top of my head I thinks it's 4. I hope this makes sense.

Plaid 4h on stream for the first time on easy, the revolver guy is better, and also survived on 25-75hp for 2lvl and in the under ground for 1 boss. And one run was glitched where i got no coins or keys
Hey Pappu!, I agree that Freyr (the revolver dude) is more powerful than Goll for starting out, or at least, he was more enjoyable for me because of the revolver. As far as the glitched run, I am sorry to tell you that that's actually not a glitch, but rather every floor has a chance to roll that mod where no coins or keys drop! It's really unlucky and not a very fun mechanic, especially when it happens early on in a run!
@@SchwingyGaming Freyer, even tho he heals only from armor hes revolver rly makes up for thr lack of HP at times, thats why i got so far, like the range and dmg are rly nice, 2shot worms 1shot bats instad of 3 and 1. And the coin thing, its kinda lame since your succes is mostly about The gear and upgrades you can get from each room. But its a fun game and sure will play more. Even tho some of the lvls can be a bit of an eye sore

it is funny you say kill flys first. i play a lot of risk of rain 2 which reminds me of BMP. and my rule in ROR2 is always kill wisps firsts. theyre like the equivelent to flys and their range spam is lethal even tho they can be one shot

This is probably the hardest game I have ever played and it's so frustrating, how are you supposed to have fun when you keep dying every second?
It's really hard at first, getting the hang of it takes time. Definitely play on the practice mode first and if you need to, change some of the settings to make it easier (rhythm stuff)

My brain "you are weak if you need to use practice"
I think i managed to go to level two on my first run but i am experimenting since. but some enemies in the challange room are fucking me up... those giant shield getting bigger and bigger. i dont understand them. died to them
is there any way to disable all the visual filters, this game looks puke inducing

I’m having loads of trouble with this game, I hate how it just throws you into the game without any tutorial.
Yeah, you're sort of just left to figure things out. Play on the easiest difficulty to begin with, and once you get comfortable with things then bump it up. It took me a few hours of restarting over and over until I was able to more consistently shoot on the beat without having to think too hard about it.
