  • Rob Zahabi from Rides by Kam shows how to get a seamless finish on custom cars. When you completely weld a door, bonnet or wheel tub, you distress the steel and it distorts and warps. This solution helps with that while saving time.
Use 3M™ Impact Resistant Structural Adhesive 07333 (00:45)
Designed for high-impact zones on cars, this adhesive can fill in the blanks between welds.
    On a wheel tub (00:53)
Stitch weld a decent weld every 10 millimeters, then fill in the blanks with the adhesive and sand it down. If you apply it a second time you don’t even need filler.
    On a door (01:18)
Similarly, around every 10 millimeters do a decent weld that bites in really well. Linish them down, then fill in the blanks with the adhesive. Give it a nice smooth finish with a bit of foam and sand it down. Reapply with something simple like a bug applicator or scraper. Sand it down and it’s ready for etch and poly.
    Guard against moisture (02:29)
This adhesive also provides corrosion protection, and it’ll fill up the holes. To seal it from the inside as well, use 3M™ Cavity Wax Plus.
    Important note:
There are of course many factors and variables that can affect an individual repair, so the technician and repair facility need to evaluate each specific application and repair process, including relevant vehicle, part and OEM guidelines, and determine what is appropriate for that repair.

In later newer 3M videos on the structural adhesive 07333, there was no mention of sanding the squeeze out if it shows and can be seen.
I have learned something new. Thanks!

Sounds like you can use this in place of seam sealer, but stronger.
